Yes, a long time that Saylor has been buying and holding BTC, but in recent months, he announced that he bought BTC over the weekend, and the following week, dump... And that is until last week he didnt announced his expensive purchases, and pam... rising.... he has been practicing a good FOMO method, and FUD, just the week he didn't buy, the price is going up a little, even though he bought below 70 the week before... Then comes talking about 8k, 88% drop... I don't know... If you follow the logic of when he bought and the price fell in the last few months, and as soon as he didn't make his purchase, the price is the opposite... So 8k=80k? dammm... 88%=88k? hehehhe.. ---yes, it's me trying to interpret what is don't understandable... <Mining difficulty up 15%, record high since 2021? Bitcoin difficulty jumps 15% largest increase since 2021, despite price slump Bitcoin mining difficulty has climbed to 144.4 trillion (T), up 15%, the largest percentage increase since 2021, when the China mining ban led to a major disruption, which followed a 22% upward adjustment as the network stabilized. Difficulty adjustments measure how hard it is to mine a new block on the network. It recalibrates every 2,016 blocks, roughly every two weeks, to ensure blocks continue to be produced about every 10 minutes, regardless of changes in the hashrate. ... The adjustment follows a 12% decline in difficulty after a drop in the bitcoin hashrate, which is the total computational power securing the network. Mining activity suffered its sharpest setback since late 2021 after a severe winter storm in the United States forced several major operators to scale back operations. In October, when bitcoin reached an all-time high of around $126,500, the hashrate also peaked at 1.1 zettahash per second (ZH/s). As prices fell to as low as $60,000 in February, the hashrate dropped to 826 exahash per second (EH/s). Since then, the hashrate has recovered to 1 ZH/s while the price has rebounded to around $67,000. At the same time, hashprice, the estimated daily revenue miners earn per unit of hashrate, remains at multi-year lows ($23.9 PH/s), squeezing profitability. ... However, a major factor behind the recent decline in bitcoin’s hashrate is that several publicly listed mining companies are reallocating energy and computing capacity toward AI and high performance computing data centers. Bitfarms (BITF) recently announced a rebrand that removes the bitcoin identity from its name as it increases its focus on AI infrastructure. Meanwhile, activist investor Starboard has urged Riot Platforms (RIOT) to expand further into AI data center operations.

BTW I do not think this is a question of smart or dumb for Trump. I think he is more interested in the coin/fiat he stuffs in his pocket than any thing else. I also think he can not stand the sicking of the clock. which is why we are lucky he is 79 and not 50. I also think like Putin and Xe he will want to stay in office for life not til 2028. Enlighten me, because you probably know better, but doesn't the US Constitution explicitly prohibit someone from serving more than two terms as president? I don't know if there's any truth to that, but I read that his legal team is looking for ways to somehow get around that obstacle, but if it's in the constitution, does a change require a majority of representatives in Congress/Senate? I agree with De Niro (and many others) when they say that he will not go peacefully, unless those 79 years mean that his end is near - although I don't see why he wouldn't live at least another 10 years, given that he has the best possible health care on the planet.

I fully quoted the section and act from 1974.
He is allowed to tariff up to 15% for 150 days no questions asked. And I am of the belief on day 151 if he changes the tarriff to 14% it sets a new clock
And if that is wrong he can end the tariff for a day and start it again the next day.
All under the 1974 law.
As for the 1930 it is grayer as to what he can do.
But the 1974 is a no brainer and he will likely win with that 10-15% everywhere he pleases.
Phil - You clearly don't understand the uncorralled power the president has with Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930. Let me lay it out for you so you'll know. Here are the facts of the matter: Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (part of the infamous Smoot-Hawley Act) provides the president with broad and relatively unchecked authority to impose tariffs on foreign countries that "discriminate" against U.S. commerce.
In the context of recent legal battles - including the Supreme Court's February 20, 2026, ruling in Trump v. V.O.S. Selections - Section 338 will be used by President Trump to bypass certain procedural hurdles (to not be 'corralled') that exist in other trade laws he originally chose to use.
How Section 338 Grants "Uncorralled" Power Unlike more commonly used trade laws, Section 338 is seen as uniquely unilateral:
Bypasses Formal Investigations: While statutes like Section 232 (national security) require an investigation by the Department of Commerce, and Section 301 (unfair trade) requires a formal probe by the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), Section 338 allows the president to act "whenever he shall find as a fact" that discrimination exists. This suggests he can make the determination personally without waiting for a lengthy agency report.Additionally - Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 provides:
High Tariff Ceiling: It authorizes "new or additional duties" of up to 50% ad valorem on products from the offending country.
Import Bans: If a country continues its discriminatory practices after the initial tariffs, Section 338 gives the president the power to completely exclude (ban) that country's products from entering the U.S. There is very little judicial precedent to limit how the president might interpret "discrimination" or the "finding of fact."POW!As I said, this SCOTUS ruling has actually given President Trump the impetus to redirect his authority with greater leeway and a wider range than what he originally chose by using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) for broad tariffs...

Bitcoin mining difficulty has climbed to 144.4 trillion (T), up 15%, the largest percentage
Maths lesson: 12% down equals about 14% up. So difficulty went up 1% compared to before the snowstorms. Huuuuge

I don't know that I would call that hash/difficulty increase a nothing burger. But I am certainly not any sort of expert on mining dynamics. Not much of an expert on anything to tell the truth. But I think the swift and more than full recovery of hashrate after some winter storms, etc. is a pretty good sign. We're not quite back up to where we were hashrate wise, but pretty close. Humming along around a single zeta hash.

Simple he would try saying the 2026 elections are fixed by evil democrats. He would then work to overturn all the 2026 losses. He when then try doing the insurrection act. Void and cancel the 2028 elections. I suspect that may all happen, but at 79 now 80 in June 2026 and 82 in June 2028 plus at least 50 pounds overweight maybe we won't need to deal with that at all. Next up does he attack Iran on Sunday or Monday? To me I think he won't attack Iran.

-yes, at least, they're not turning everything to AI's data centers.. . reason to celebrate... . That is if it does not rise again, or rise an bit more than falls again forming a bearish pivot.... ## Next up does he attack Iran on Sunday or Monday? To me I think he won't attack Iran.
likely more like will he attack on a monday or on a sunday as opposed to the rest of days of the week Yes, there is a difference, on Monday they are hungover from having drunk on the weekend, Sunday, they are off duty, and do not work, on the other days, they are working normally, making it difficult and even intercepting the attacks... So these days are key days for the success of the operation... hehehe
