Haha, no, I actually know the joke. Just I think its the comma that threw me when speed reading the site.

I don't think I would have misread it if it was "life, a sexually transmittable disease that has 100% lethality" or "Thats life a sexually transmittable disease that has 100% lethality" but the "thats life" is kind of like "shit happens" or "what you gonna do" "a sexually transmittable disease that has 100% lethality".  Smiley

Even though I think the comma is the proper way, but I quit school because I fucking hated English 3 that much.

It's the same with me when I start talking to people of biology/medicine, I just end up freaking them out. Back when I studied physics, I remember people simply avoiding me / having their eyes glass over when I talked physics/mathematics. This definitely is an improvement.

BTC

Not sure if you're going for that 'I AM HODLING' vibe but this post likely wont be as well received.

First of all, the fact that I may have BTC or I am Holding is not a matter of general public opinion, because we already talked about kingfisher strong aka sbi bailouts since 47

anyways,

Since the consensus is well recieved, we may proceed to DCA more...

Clearly I picked the wrong bird for my avatar hat.  Angry

so 30 plus years no smokes.

you guys with your exact dates.

i stopped smoking (vaping) a few years ago.. thats about as close as i can make it.

same with a particular drug that had me back in the day, no particular date of cessation just 50 odd years ago for that one.

basically, as i managed to stop before i die, its a close enough timeframe i reckon

You can still eat the weed. I switched to edibles. I usually just make some cannabis olive oil and dribble that on some bread. Now that I know how lungs work, I feel more appreciation for my own.

Tinctures!
Didn't knew they exist until recently, but when dad who is being eaten up by his cancer wanted to try weed to have a better sleep, some relaxation and stimulate his appetite, I started to experiment with it.
Beats edibles and smoking in every aspect IMO. Used sublingual, it shoots in within 2-3min and the effect lasts for a 3-5 hours, after that you're sober again. This was important as when he takes his first nightly piss he shouldn't have any dizziness as when he falls and starts bleeding it's over.
Also it's very accurate to dose, not happy with the dose after 5min, take a few more drops.

Needs some work, time and patience to prepare/make, but the whole family is meanwhile using it instead of some sleeping pills in these challenging times.

Very interested to trade tips.  I make bespoke tinctures with high dose CBD low/micro dose THC.  But I have never have had much luck with sublinguals.  Do you use ethanol as the base or MCT?  I do use the oils and have definitely enhanced bioavailabilirty, onset time and duration by adding lecithin.

But I have never had luck with sublingual tinctures.  That said, I do like my slow long lasting drops because I do not mind the slower, smoother less dramatic onset.  Of course I understand this is not the more popular way to use it.

Bitcoin mining company 'Poolin Bitcoin' has filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

Good.

If we really are forever stuck in the bipolar bitcoin cycles then the bottom must be accompanied with capitulations of fair weather fools.

However a quick glance at this company's actions suggest they are at best worse than fools, and possibly run fraudulently.  That's OK though...  the Cycle Gods will accept the sacrifice of scammers.

I use food grade ethanol, like the one that is used to produce most gin. And I mix some other liquor to it, trying to give the tincture a more favourable taste. I just make sure the resulting fluid has >80-85% alcohol to be effective in solving out the good stuff.
Most recipes I read use something called Everclear, I take it that is a very strong liquor but it's hard to get something over ~45% here except said food grade ethanol.

I found the most difficult and hard part is the decarboxylating, having your oven between 103° and 108° (or even 100-110°C) for some 30-45min is quite challenging, I used an IR gun to check temperature and adjust continuously. Also very important is to make sure the weed is relatively fine grinded before decarb.

Another thing I found, is that most people talk about having the drops under your tongue for like 20-30s, I found it to be most effective to keep them up to 90s or more before swallowing. It seems the more is absorbed in the oral mucosa, the shorter the onset time and also the duration of the effect. The more is absorbed in the digestive tract the more it is similar to normal edibles (slow onset, longer duration).

I do the normal extraction over 12-14 days, never tried the QWET (Quick Wash Ethanol Extraction) as it sounds quite complicated and a bit like magic to me, also the result is less potent I read (though smoother in taste).

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-07-24 (Evening Edition)

Published: 2026-07-24 09:02 PM CT

Friday's session is grinding lower, with Bitcoin down 1.5% as rising US bond yields and rate-hike chatter sap risk appetite. The Fear & Greed Index at 27 (Fear) for four straight days confirms the mood is sour, not panicked. The dominant story is Strategy's new net Bitcoin per share metric, which gives common equity holders a clearer picture of their claim after $22 billion in senior obligations.

Outlook: Watch how the macro crosscurrents play out next week: the Fed is expected to hold rates steady, but the market is pricing a September hike - any shift in that narrative could move crypto. Strategy's Bitcoin Banking Adoption Index also bears watching as a gauge of institutional integration, though the low average score (32%) suggests banks are still early in the process.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Bitcoin is currently trading at $64,034.00 (-1.53%).

The market sits in a mixed regime with Bitcoin at $64,034.00, down 1.53% in 24 hours and 1.2% over the week, though it still holds a 7.2% gain over 30 days. Fear & Greed at 27 signals extreme fear, but that reflects sentiment, not necessarily capitulation. Exchange netflow scores a strong 11 out of 50, indicating net inflows that could suggest selling pressure, though the reading is moderate. Daily price movement has narrowed, which may indicate reduced selling urgency despite the weak sentiment. If net inflows persist and accelerate, sellers could regain control, pushing price toward the $60,000 support zone. A flip would require a sustained shift to net outflows or a catalyst that breaks the current range.

SCENARIOS

- Range-Bound Consolidation (50%): triggers: Exchange netflow remains moderate between 5-15, price holds above $62,000 and below $66,000, and Fear & Greed stays below 40. Invalidation: A break below $60,000 or above $68,000 on high volume.
- Bearish Breakdown (30%): triggers: Exchange netflow climbs above 20, price closes below $62,000 for two consecutive days, and Fear & Greed drops to 20 or lower. Invalidation: A quick recovery above $64,500 with declining net inflows.
- Bullish Reversal (20%): triggers: Exchange netflow turns negative (outflows), price reclaims $66,000, and Fear & Greed rises above 40. Invalidation: A failure to hold $64,000 after a breakout attempt.

KEY MARKET MOVERS

- [Rising Bond Yields]: Surging US Treasury yields, with the two-year at 4.31%, are boosting Fed rate-hike odds and weighing on risk assets including Bitcoin.

- [Strategy's Net Bitcoin Metric]: Strategy introduced a net Bitcoin per share measure that subtracts $22.2 billion in senior claims, giving common investors a clearer view of their residual stake.

- [State Department Crypto Initiative]: The State Department launched the Freedom Tech Excellence Program, partnering with the Bitcoin Policy Institute and Palantir to promote Bitcoin as a tool for digital freedom and censorship circumvention.

- [Strategy Banking Index]: Strategy unveiled the Bitcoin Banking Adoption Index, ranking 25 banks on Bitcoin integration - Fidelity leads at 71%, but the group average of 32% shows most institutions are still early in adoption.

TOP STORIES

1. Strategy Debuts Net Bitcoin Per Share for Common Investors
URL: https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/crypto/articles/strategy-debuts-net-bitcoin-per-180400942.html
Published: 2026-07-24 02:04 PM CT
Summary: Strategy introduced a net Bitcoin per share metric that subtracts senior claims from its Bitcoin reserve before dividing across fully diluted shares. The company holds 843,775 Bitcoin worth roughly $57 billion, alongside about $3.2 billion in cash. After deducting approximately $22.2 billion in senior claims, the net reserve sits near $35 billion. Net Bitcoin per share stands at about $95, or 143,000 satoshis, up from $13 at the end of 2020. The revised framework gives investors a clearer view of obligations ahead of common equity as Strategy continues funding its Bitcoin reserve through a growing mix of securities.

2. Bitcoin falls under $64K as surging US bond yields boost Fed rate-hike odds
URL: https://cointelegraph.com/markets/bitcoin-falls-under-64k-us-bond-yields-fed-rate-hike-odds
Published: 2026-07-24
Summary: Bitcoin fell more than 1.6% on Friday, with the price approaching $64,000 as bulls struggled to preserve recent gains. Geopolitical tensions and macroeconomic headwinds weighed on crypto markets as appetite for risk assets faded. Trading firm Mosaic Asset Company said rising US Treasury yields were a key driver of the sell-off, noting that the two-year yield now sits at 4.31%, well above the Federal Reserve's target range. Markets still expect the Fed to leave rates unchanged next week but price in a 0.25% hike in September as one of two increases expected before the end of 2026. Crypto trader Killa identified a 'plunge protection team' active on Binance, with layers of bid liquidity below the spot price, while analyst Rekt Capital noted that BTC/USD was repeating behavior from its 2022 bear market, rejecting from the 50-month exponential moving average at $65,950.

3. State Department to Debut Freedom Tech Program with Bitcoin Policy Institute, Palantir as Founding Partners
URL: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/news/state-department-tech-program-with-bitcoin
Published: 2026-07-24
Summary: State Department is launching the Freedom Tech Excellence Program, which includes Bitcoin as a tool for advancing digital freedom worldwide. The initiative partners with the Bitcoin Policy Institute, Palantir Technologies, Anduril Industries, and the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation. It focuses on five priority areas: free expression, countering digital surveillance, privacy-enhancing technologies, AI governance, and online child safety. The inclusion of the Bitcoin Policy Institute signals that the Department views Bitcoin and blockchain as relevant for circumventing censorship and financial surveillance in authoritarian states. The program will place private sector personnel inside the State Department on temporary assignments to shape diplomatic efforts around digital freedom issues.

4. Strategy Unveils Bitcoin Banking Adoption Index
URL: https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/crypto/articles/michael-saylors-strategy-just-unveiled-005000908.html
Published: 2026-07-24 08:50 PM CT
Summary: Strategy introduced the Bitcoin Banking Adoption Index on July 13, a scorecard ranking 25 financial institutions on Bitcoin adoption across trading, custody, products, margin, and leadership. Fidelity leads with a 71% score, while Royal Bank of Canada ranks last at 13%, and the group averages 32%. The index shows that major banks are building Bitcoin capabilities, but the low average score indicates significant work remains. Strategy positions itself as a leader in Bitcoin integration and may offer consulting to institutions seeking to improve their scores. The stock trades 79% below its November 2024 record high of $473.83, near $100 per share, as Bitcoin remains in a bear market.

5. Is It Too Late to Buy Bitcoin
URL: https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/crypto/articles/too-buy-bitcoin-192700275.html
Published: 2026-07-24 03:27 PM CT
Summary: The article examines whether Bitcoin still has upside after falling from its October 2025 all-time high of $124,773 to around $65,000. It argues that getting rich quick on small investments is no longer realistic given Bitcoin's $1.3 trillion market cap. The piece notes that Bitcoin's supply inflation rate fell below gold's after the April 2024 halving, and ETFs now hold about 6% of all Bitcoin. It compares Bitcoin's market cap to gold's $28 trillion and global real estate's $625 trillion, suggesting room for growth if Bitcoin captures a slice of those stores of value. The author recommends a small allocation that investors can hold through 50% drawdowns without panic-selling.
