I have looked for a study on the growth effect of the chain with and without and the cost of spam if enabled https://beincrypto.com/bip-110-ordinals-bitcoin-spam-debate/.

And I can't find shit, all I see if name calling and arguments for the last few years and no-one publishing actual verifiable facts.
The thing about "verifiable facts of the future" is that they don't yet exist, since they are by definition in the future.   Wink
We have a tool for this, you have heard of it, it's called "The Scientific Method".

I am not even going to proclaim that there are any folks who are better at predicting (or preparing for) the future than others

Is that not literally how we measure intelligence? Even Elon Musk said "The right metric for intelligence is probably the ability to predict the future".

Yeah Elon Musk will die.

The future.

But if you ask me

Intelligence is predicting  the future then twisting it to favor youself.

And Musk has been very good at doing that.

Generally the more processed a food becomes, the easier it becomes to over consumes it. Like you will rarely eat three whole apples in one sitting but an eight ounce juice you can easily consume. Likewise its difficult to eat three corns on the cobs in one sitting but same quantity of corn pops you can easily eat.

If you are controlling your blood sugar through diet then you have to make sure you eat right and healthy food.

An A1C of 5.7 is not bad, maybe borderline. I think exercise plays a key role. I never had problems with diabetes, but my already good A1C dropped even lower after I started walking at least 10 km daily, which is a low-intensity, easy-to-do exercise.

Keep walking!

You are doing excellent thing by going for a walk on daily basis despite the fact you don't have diabetes. Everyone should make exercise part of his life style whether he has some health disorder or not.

Exercise has no side effects but only positive effects on our body.

You are probably correct in that I imagine that my post was internally contradictory, since I was proclaiming the goods and bads of trying to predict the future and perhaps what might be done to assign probabilities or to generally guess about it. I don't find any reason to try to resolve any contradictions that likely exist therein.

Within the scope of this thread (and even other posts that I have seen from you on the forum), I have seen that you are fairly reasonably good at spinning future possibilities ur lil selfie.

I see that "no side effects" can also be known as "positive effects."  Tongue Tongue Tongue  which also provides evidence that I am not the only one with contradictions contained therein.   Shocked Shocked

Hmm, Musk isn't clear on that (see bolded parts). And it would be more intelligent to consider or even predict future black swan events and their outcomes.
I'd say the quote is Musk's opinion, which (surprisingly) fits his personality and personal past, especially when it comes to predictions  Wink

The mystery, however, is solved for decades, already. The "right" metric for measuring intelligence is the ability to think in networked ways, opposed to thinking in linear ways.
So, one could say: The more complex thought structures you are able to build, overview and keep in your mind, the more intelligent you are.

That doesn't include social or emotional intelligence, two metrics in which Elon is obviously performing pretty poorly.

In a real world, like in every complex system, everything has side effects.

EDIT:
For the sake of an example: Long time runners have more muscle and bigger lungs than long term walkers, but the runners have more knee, hip and ankle problems when they're older, which needs more medication, which also makes them less healthy when they're older and lower their lifespan. Everything is getting more complicated the closer you look at it  Wink

i dont really do structured exercise, but i do deliberately make some tasks longer/more calorie burning such making many trips back and forth when bringing groceries/whatever from the truck from shopping, making many trips back and forth or up/down the stairs instead of combining tasks, bring things one at a time and carrying stuff across the yard instead of using the machines/carts. ie just making random manual labor where none was needed. just to move around.

as someone very old and very respected said, you stop moving, you die.

of course then ill take my 4x4 jeep down the my the trails on my property with the A/C on at the end of the day instead of walking to watch the sunset over the water. cuz lazy.
