Additionally, Tesla can expect to benefit from the return of electric car subsidies right as they launch their customer owned Robotaxi network.

That would put democrat politicians in quite the tough space. There will undoubtedly be exclusions for Tesla. It seems they will likely squeeze things from the ICE end this go around. That's if the green side of things is on the agenda as there seems to have been a cooling off about that kind of thing (though that may have been temporary).

Hard to predict. Policy tends to change faster than cars do.  Cheesy

So much or the bullshit dump FUD when the Grifters lose.

How do all those who sold their coins in the belief that the price will drop with the defeat of the Republicans feel just now? That defeat actually gave (at least for a short time) some positive energy that changes are possible and maybe even that the T-dynasty will experience complete defeat before the two-year deadline.

How realistic is it that a presidential impeachment will be initiated - is there even any chance of that, given that the Democrats have taken control of the Senate and Congress?

People who follow the news are doomed to fail!! I’ve stopped reading anything related to cryptocurrency altogether;

How does "cryptocurrency" relate to what we are talking about in these here parts?

for me, the chart is enough to understand what to expect!! The history of the chart shows us what’s coming next!! You might think I’m crazy! But do you have the kind of results I’ve had? I suppose you were all at the top of the rankings too, right!! That’s why I can state my opinion with confidence: over the course of an entire cycle, you can go short—even in a bull market—three or four times on a macro scale... and by trading both longs and shorts, you can generate more profit than you ever could with spot trading!!!
Sorry, I’m communicating via a translator, so some parts might not sound quite right.

Too bad that you don't know the word bitcoin, which might help you in your thinking if you were to realize that bitcoin is an investment and not a trade.

You also likely are failing/refusing to recognize bitcoin's value, and you get it mixed up with shitcoins because you believe that you can do better trading than investing.

Even by your forum registration you are not new to bitcoin, and I have a hard time imagining that you might have had done better in bitcoin by fucking around with trading it or even worse fucking around with shitcoins.  Of course, it is possible that you got lucky, but trading (gambling) with bitcoin and/or fucking around with shitcoins is not likely to be a solid path forward to improve your finances.

Think about it.  If you had invested in the last 8-ish years you would have likely done way better than  your fucking around with trading bitcoin and/or shitcoins.

In another thread, I had already presented bitcoin investment ideas to you in order to show how a bitcoin investment thesis would have had worked out for you over the past 8 years if you had invested by putting some front load money into it and then thereafter following an ongoing buying approach, and your response to me was largely pleading ignorance, even though now you are continuing to pump ideas of trading bitcoin and/or fucking around with shitcoins, even though you admit that you don't know nuttin.

another shit day
corn 76.3k down a bit
gold 3942 up a bit
silver   50.49 up a bit
platinum 1448 even

spacex 137.65 up a bit
nvidia 203.50 down a bit
nasdaq 25321   down a bit

all in all I say the calm before the storm.
should be fun to goof on me Tuesday when I am proven really wrong.

A funny (and perhaps sad?) thing is that you can recognize that you are gambling with your finances on an ongoing basis, yet you still are ongoingly engaging in such trading/gambling practices, hoping that "there is a chance" and that someday (maybe Sunday?) you will strike it rich.

Part of the problem with compulsive gamblers is that even if they might happen to strike it big from time to time, because they already have a gambling/trading approach (rather than an investment mindset), they cannot help but to piss away any profits that they might have made in their various "making it big" incidents.. so yeah, they might even shave off some of their profits from their making it big incidents, so they ongoingly consider that they are profiting from their trades.

I was hoping for a bigger dump after the hack scare, so that I could buy more Bitcoin. But oh well. 76K is good too. DCA time it is.

In other words, my steak is too juicy and my lobster is too buttery.  Angry

In bitcoin there surely are arguments for mechanical application of buying the dip rather than trying to guess bitcoin price specifics, which tends to result in ongoing buying of bitcoin during such times, even though we might also have limitations in our budget for ongoing buying and we might even have enough bitcoin or close to enough bitcoin.

And as you seem to also be implying, many of the longer term bitcoiner's tend to already have some luxury in spending their bitcoin while simultaneously buying, which might seem like a bit of a spinning of the wheels dynamics (maybe buying out of one hand and selling with the other?), yet the longer term bitcoiners tend to not be necessarily desperate to buy more bitcoin, even though it might make some sense to buy during what seems to be dipping periods.... even though it could be sort of a "so what if I do? and so what if I don't?" situation.

I am trying to formulate a conjecture below:

Bitcoin was at 63226 on Nov 2, 20221 2021
Bitcoin is at 76,772 right now on Nov 2, 2026.
Roughly 21% up in 5 years, which is about 4% a year.
I know, i know..cycles.

Oh gawd..  Roll Eyes you are annoying when you go down this path.

However, 5 year time period is still informative for my "conjecture":

I propose, specifically, that bitcoin's relatively low performance in the last 5 years was due to M Saylor's activities with MSTR and STRC.

Low performance?  Holy fucking shit Biodom.

Bitcoin's 200-WMA has gone from $16,838 in November 2021 to $67,500 today.

Yeah, I know that we don't buy at the 200-WMA, yet the 200-WMA largely represents some semblance of the trade-weighted average of the bitcoin price at the time that it is measured, so accounting for the 200-WMA shows your selective focus on fluctuating bitcoin spot prices as greatly (if not completely?) delusional.

Essentially, by issuing a debt security that pays 10-12% yearly, he put an upper bound of bitcoin average yearly appreciation at the same 10-12%.
Why? Because there cannot be any economic perpetuum mobile where he would get more than 10-12% average appreciation in bitcoin and then would be able to issue more and more of STRC, forming an endless pyramid of sorts. No wonder that JPMorgan proposes 10% bitcoin appreciation (per year) going forward.

I am OK with 10% and I am also OK with MSaylor not being able to go "crazy" with his STRC.

Even though I continue to "feel you" as being annoying as fuck, from time to time, this is an interesting theory in regards to whether Saylor or any other dominant financial product, such as MSTR and/or STRC can end up causing a throttling effect on bitcoin's appreciation rate, especially to the degree that you are proposing 10% to 16% annualized.

I have the sense that you are too narrowed in on short-timelines, and continuing to fail/refuse to appreciate bitcoin's fundamental powers which also relates to errors that you had been making historically in your various negative Nancy proclamations.. that I would say had not really panned out, so for example I get the sense that if we had followed your ideas in earlier times, we would have had been falling off our chairs to even go through supra $100k prices, so in that regard, I will admit that you seem to be coming out with more bullish numbers in recent times, yet it also seems to me that your more bullish proclamations had been forced upon you because of bitcoin prices and dynamics that ended up being quite a bit more bullish than your earlier dreams (wet or not).

That said, if 10% is what we 'should' get, then, maybe next 5 years would be roughly 16% a year to get to the 10% per year across 10 years.
16% a year from Nov 2, 2026 would result in about $161.2 (164K if 10% per year since Nov 2, 2021) by Nov 2, 2031.
I can live with that.

Sure.  Those still end up being acceptable numbers, and I don't really have any problems preparing for various alternative scenarios, since it seems that the best that many of us can do anyhow is leverage (and hedge) our own finances in ways that we hope to end up being directionally correct, whether referring to bitcoin and dollars (fiat) only and/or other non-bitcoin allocations that we might also choose to make that might be considered as protecting and/or supplementing our bitcoin investment.

They’ve actually already been trying to not only revive the electric car tax credit, but are even attempting to double it to $15,000. Hard to complain too much when they’ll be paying for me to build a Robotaxi fleet (1 car per year for the credit I believe) but it’s not an easy one to justify to the taxpayer.

[edited out]
BTW the bonds I was mocked for grabbing in early 2022 have just about matched btc in that for time frame 2022 to 2026. Basically btc has run out of gas and maybe due to Saylor and his games.

Wow!!!!  There seems to be a lot of rationalizing going on with uie-pooie.

I have a hard time imagining how a dollar-based T-bill product that was locked for several years and perhaps earning 5% to 10% (most likely on the low end) could have had done "almost as good as bitcoin" when you bought that crap in late 2022, and you could have had gotten bitcoin between $16k and $22k during that time. From my superficial assessment it seems difficult to make those numbers add up in your favor, but hey?  What do I know?

Thou shalt not sell Bitcoin outside the fourth year of every cycle.

You seem to be delusional in your attempts to rationalize your trading/gambling with bitcoin and your failure/refusal to accumulate bitcoin in earlier times and your ongoing failures/refusals to treat bitcoin as an investment rather than a trade.

In udder wurds, guys who accumulated enough or more than enough bitcoin have the liberty to do whatever the fuck they like in terms of how they manage their holdings, which may include (but it is not limited to) time-based sales.  If you need to know more about time-based and/or price-based sustainable withdrawal approaches/thinking, then check out my sustainable withdrawal thread.

By the way, one of the underlying presumptions of sustainable withdrawal is getting to a point of having enough or more than enough BTC, even though surely price-based sustainable withdrawal is more forgiving to guys who might not have reached such quantities of bitcoin.

Tom Lee?  Oh well, if Mr. Optimist Prime says it's over, then I guess it mush be over.  Going all in on the AI right now.  Can't talk! Buying!
Did Tom Lee become a bitcoin-side Cramer all of a sudden?
He had some right calls before, but the VB-coin was not among those.
He does not opine too much on btc, though.
What right calls exactly?  I feel like we've already been over this.  He does opine on bitcoin and it is a massive part of his identity.   Which prediction of his was right?  I bet it was off by years and likely a no-brainer as well, like "Uh... bitcoin go up" or "Dude, buy the dip!"  None of his specific predictions were "right" and especially when he got specific about them imo.  Maybe we have the bar set at different levels.  Maybe you give him more credit because he wears a suit and glasses.  I think he's a boob.

You @Homer may be correct that Lee is a boob, yet it seems that he had been directionally correct about bitcoin for years and years and years prior to his putting himself so heavily in that crap coin and derivative products around it.  I don't necessarily fault talking head bitcoiners (or crypto commentators - of course, it is problematic to be distracted into shitcoins) for their overly bullish takes on where bitcoin is going (or  might be going) even if they end up being wrong on the specifics of when such great uppities may end up playing out.

JerryRigEverything exposes Trump - another lie in a row. A device claimed to be made in the US is actually a copy of a 2024 HTC smartphone.
JerryRigEverything is clearly a bought and paid for shill.  Anything Trump, Tesla, SpaceX, Apple related the guy comes off as a traumatized weirdo.  Everything he says turns out to be wrong.  He exists to appeal to the folks who are mad at the world and hate to see others succeed.  He attacks the leader in industries he's supposed to cover, and literally nothing he says isn't biased.

That being said, you might be genuinely retarded if you purchased the Trump phone.  Trump obviously has a team of people that exist only to make him money.  You need to separate the money grabs by a billionaire's team from the great man that is saving our country from being invaded by illegal immigrants and our citizens from being brainwashed with perversion.

The one who seems to be retarded is you, @OgNasty.  You really believe that it makes sense to allow Trump to not be responsible for the actions of a supposed "billionaire team"?

Sure, democrats have a lot of looney ideas in regards to the role of government, yet there have been a lot of ways that Trump has perverted ideas of separating finances from governance, and it is sad that he has been allowed to stay involved in so many businesses while proclaiming supposed ignorance.. and yeah, he likely is ignorant in several ways, yet he is also likely involved in controlling the direction of various scammy entities that he and his family had been and continue to profit from.

The party of corruption is back in power. I honestly didn’t believe this would happen. It is funny how the markets react. Bitcoin shoots up now that fraudsters will be looking to hide their stolen funds, Nike/McDonalds/Pepsi stocks are shooting upwards now that free money for illegals is back on the table. Meanwhile, nuclear power producing companies are crashing because they know democrats will fight progress.

Despite that the quote is not from Benjmin Franklin i actually agree with it.

I think democracy is starting to show their signs of firm decay, when you see where are the discussions and around what they are and how all is biased you fall into the quote you posted or the analogy between the 300 moneys and a pilot in an airplane, where the monkeys vote other monkey to pilot just because.... is democracy.

Democracy in 21 century has become a fight between who spend more and who promises more without caring about from where that is gonna come. And one day that end is gonna be reach, we are not so far from it i think.

Take French as example is the second country with the most highest investment by the state in the economy by 57% of the GDP what the lurkers and leftist politicians promises and want? Even more and said that the actual French state is a "neoliberal" one, just crazy.

I dont see any turning point back anymore unless a great war or a great depression that put some people in place, the main problem? We all are gonna suffer and paid it.
