wtf unsolicited health advice gee, rpietila can be healthier if he eats better, exercises more, don't smoke/drink. Like anybody with a pulse isn't already aware of that
Actually, you are correct that unsolicited advice can be really irritating and annoying, and I did NOT mean to be preachy or to deviate too far from the topic. Nonetheless, if we are able to spend 10 pages receiving donations from Adam in order to imbibe some beers, we should be able to spend a few posts talking about how to make our BTC wealth pay off for us, in regard to health and/or lifestyles. In this regard, Rptiela's lack of a healthy appearance stood out tremendously in that pic, and with all of those BTC proceeds that he claims to have in his coffers, he should be able to do something about his apparently unhealthy appearance. If we are into accumulating wealth through bitcoin, then we should want to enjoy such accumulation, no? I don't know where you get your information about me supposedly being a troll. That comment is total bullshit, and if you read much substance of my multiple posts, you would realize that I make my posts with genuine attempts to communicate relevant ideas and without any ill-intentions towards anyone, except maybe trolls.. hehehe, which I again assert that I am NOT... . Accordingly, I even stated in my earlier post (and I meant it) that I did NOT make my comments towards Rpietila lightly or with any maligned intentions towards RPietila.
Regarding the substance of your comment. Lighting and angle are NOT going to account for the bad health that is depicted in such picture. Genetics may account for some of such depiction, and I stated that I was sorry, if genetics were the case... and that is why I largely attempted to focus my comments on the three main controllables (diet, sleep and exercise).
You realize you post in a forum where, by virtue of the topic and the alignments with that topic, there's probably a pretty big overlap between users here and the crowd that populates your typical computer science/physics/math department... When was the last time you have been to one of those? I'm afraid, you'd be advising a lot of people on the "three main controllables" in one of those Even computer, science and math geeks have to realize that they need to take health preservation measures, if they want to continue being alive. Nothing wrong with a few vices, here and there. That's for sure.

The photo about rptiella is obviously overexposed...
Funnily enough (after seeing the photo re-quoted to exhaustion) I noticed exactly the same thing from the color of the wine. Unless the camera has an exceptionally crappy dynamic range but a professional photographer wouldn't have the shittiest dynamic range camera. yes, not a very good photographer.

Or perhaps...a photographer who knew exactly what they were doing. "Make him look more nerdy!" They can't let Bitcoin success become respected, right?

Wow. Risto sure has charisma. I can't think of any other poster who garners so much gossip and personal attention. No wonder he's not lacking in self esteem. Yeah, the same thing applies to the cast of "Jersey Shore". Everyone laughs with them, not at them. All the attention comes because of their quality characters. It has nothing to do with the entertainment value of an loud and confident doofus.

Wow. Risto sure has charisma. I can't think of any other poster who garners so much gossip and personal attention. No wonder he's not lacking in self esteem. Jorge, Goat in his day, BJA when active. It tends to be pettier with Risto, I think. He's actually pretty inoffensive, and rather clever, generally a helpful man of good-will and a contributor to the community. Certainly observing his fate has convinced me to maintain pseudonymity while feasible. For some reason, although I think less flush than Goat, Risto seems to focus all the jelly. Perhaps because he started another thread to get away from the nastiness on this one, the nasty types think he's putting on airs. Amusingly, Goat actually started another forum site to get away from this trash. The signal/noise ratio there is vastly better. But it's not an external face of bitcoin, so I see value in posting here, where google is likely to take novices.

Yep. Barely half the voters picked the most bullish option.
