Is there any obvious reason as to why BTC are crashing atm?
Trendlines. There was hope we might stay above the shiny line. Then it died. I don`t understand this dump, what are your theories men, an uptrend breakdown? Only if the shiny line of magic breaks. The market seems to like the shiny line of magic.

i wonder if i should buy ripple Of course you should, didn't you hear the news? Ripple is new Bitcoin!! Go and exchange all of your BTCs for Ripple!! Erm, I thought that was GAW's paycoin? No wait, that's supposed to make Bitcoin obsolete..... GAW's paycoin is in case that Ripple fails, which of course will never happen. (Of course I have been sarcastic, for anybody that missed it)

What... no Tinkerbell, again? Seriously, that rumor "Huobi has re-enabled bank deposits" now seems to be a flat out lie. Like "Dell accepts bitcoin", "Mozilla accepts bitcoin", "Microsoft accepts bitcoin", etc..

Guys need to buy jewelry to keep wives. Bitcoins gots to go. That's a sexist stereotype That men buy women jewelry for christmas? Perhaps, I am not good at being a feminist.

@ Jorge - Wait until my hobby-micro-enterprise start accepting it. Hmm... no... wait. It does already but nobody ever cares (mid EU). I keep a public key on my phone just in case but 9/10 never heard about Bitcoin and others are mostly skeptics, 1/100 is a semi-serious holder (he won't "just spend it", he wants to hold it for a while and... I guess panic-sell at the bottom because he isn't that serious that he won't).

Can you not see.
Well done Ripple pump squad lol
The same people shorting and drumping Bitcoin are pumping Ripple.
They have decided to do after several months of a Bitcoin bear market when they know noobs will be squirming and will probably dump Bitcoin and put into Ripple just as they are exiting with huge profits.
Do not worry it will not last forever. Check previous peaks and troughs. Market cycles. Low liquidity. Pump and dump groups. Nothing new to see here.
Hodl.

We got some dark times ahead of us.
It was the uptrend line at OKCoin. If it would have held that would have been bullish. Probably more bullish than is reasonable to expect straight from the bear market. But I guess some expected it would hold and they are now panicking. I thought we would bounce to $360 atleast
guess not?
Nope, it looks like OKCoin is breaking the uptrend from ¥1806 already. Edit: ...or they just continue hovering in that general area...
