NEW FEATURE ALERT: You can now add multiple logins to the same Bancor Wallet. Link SMS, Telegram, Facebook Messenger and WeChat to your account and use any of them to login. Try it out! https://ban.cr/MultipleLogins Bancor developers does not stand still. I'm sure multilogin is a very useful feature. Recently i was used bancor service. I was shocked how easy it was to use. I advise everyone to try bancor platform. I have an opinion about that. Things rarely go as planned. Adding 3-rd parties like Telegram or Facebook to login page is in contradiction with wallet's desired security. I would prefer to have conventional "login + password" page enhanced with 2FA via Google Athenticator .

Thanks for the feedback on this, it will be taken into consideration. But current login methods are actually quite secure! To spend funds you need to both access via one of the login methods and have your password at hand.

This morning (CEST) Bancor experienced a security breach. No user wallets were compromised. To complete the investigation, we have moved to maintenance and will be releasing a more detailed report shortly. We look forward to being back online as soon as possible. https://twitter.com/Bancor/status/1016274867384090624

These people should be brought in front of justice and exchanges can do it very well by collaborating with one another. That is good part of hearing loss in BNT has been recovered by freezing the tokens. Bancor team has taken bold decision by putting the actual situation in front of people instead of hiding the incident and this is great thing.

I think the “Bancor is not decentralized” debate/accusation really revolves around the fact that it appears Bancor has a central authority capable of disabling activity on not only the GUI(website) but also on the blockchain itself via direct calls to the contract. This is a central point of control, regardless of intent or prior behavior. So, from an objective point of view, Bancor appears to have variable decentralization and is not the canonical decentralized application.

thats what exchanger should do collaborate with each other to avoid breaches and prevent the thieves from liquidating the stolen tokens, but tracing transaction will be hard bancor can ask etherscan to flag the address involve in the breach.

Hi there, sorry you feel that way. The team is looking into the situation right now. All user wallets are safe, you can access your tokens right now if you wish. And you can see all your tokens on etherscan if you are not sure, they will be there.

This is such a disaster. Clearly Bancor wasn't decentralized at all. One address controlled everything. Essentially, everything the team communicated with respect to being "decentralized" is outright false, for starters. What's the excuse here? Will this be corrected after the hack, or will Bancor continue to have a single point of failure going forward as well?

Yes, i hear Bancor wallets have been stolen by thieves, really in today's world we don't know exactly who to believe but really $12 millions worth of coins means it is nearly very huge. They need trace and everything in order to safeguard the people who are trading in Bancor.

This has been posted already(See above), No point in posting again and again. Damage has been done, Hacked amount probably won't be recovered. So, Will Bancor cover this loss?

We have no news on this at the moment. As you can imagine, Bancor has devoted extra resources to look into what happened. We should have an update for the community before too long.
