Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

whoisguard can be broken through. Enough incentive and you can trace just about anyone.

Who knows what happened but NEVER trust without esrows. If you put more than 100 bucks in this just for a good risk reward then you had big balls.

Going to be very hard to. He hid his identity really well. Even if for some reason Ip logs of him logging in here were retrieved, most likely he hid his IP for sure.

It makes even harder when invested BTC from each person had it's own btc address and each separate btc investment was mixed and sent to an exchange (the eth invested was sent to shapshift). Finding out the exchange would not help either seeing that his scumbag probably took all his time cashing out plus exchanges wont release any info.

There's a reason why scammers here get away 99% of the time.

Take the loss, learn your lesson and move on is really all that you can do.

I doubt anyone here invested enough to actually pursue this that far though.

Oh well, it sucks but lesson learned. I only put in what I could afford to lose. Will this thread get locked soon then?

Let's face it.

All those who sent this scammer money have only their own greed to blame.

The first warning sign was the moderated thread.

The second warning sign was the fact that  there was no white paper from Ben, instead he just links explanations from Zcash and Ethereum.

The third warning sign was his refusal to show any of his code.

The fourth warning sign was the influx of newbie accounts hyping this crap to death.

The fifth warning sign was the over inflated amounts of money which were supposedly being donated but yet when asked to prove the BTC deposits, he

gave some BS excuse.

The sixth warning sign was the Team Members he named of which no trace could be found.

The seventh warning sign was the promise of the Bittrex listing but when questioned Bittrex staff said they never heard of Zeth.

The list can go on and on.

Now, if you chose to ignore all these, then, guess what?

You are a fucking idiot and you deserve to be scammed.

No Sympathy.

IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT GENERALLY IS A SCAM.

Hi all, Ben here, due to excessive spamming, this forum will now be the new method of contact for updates and support!

Please pm me here if you have any issues.

Some small updates:
Codebase is being worked on, taking a little longer than expected to get the zk-snarks running but all is looking possitive
Remaining distribution will take place over the next week! Please PM me if you need to change your ETH address - PM me your crowdfund username - amount sent & new eth address.

A new bitcointalk thread will open once all distribution has taken place.

Regards,
Ben

he isn't online here yet after days? its a good thing i didn't put anything to it. i must admit what he is offering is a really innovative. i even receive some of the zeth from twitter bounties he giveaway for just tweeting his post. if github were just showed and were just listed on exchange, it could have been worth more than $0.50 by now.
