that's irrelevant. the only thing that matters it's what in the exchange order books. no one cares about the wider details or 95% of these coins wouldn't have pumped.

Interesting reading the comments in this thread, both from 2 months ago and also those that are more recent.

An interesting theme that I picked up on is most people feel that 1: Ethereum can't do this because that would mean Bitcoin would need to be worth x price. And probably more dominate 2: Ethereum can't do this because that would mean it's marktetcap would be worth more than Bitcoin.

What I find amusing is that a lot of people feel there is like some unbreakable law somewhere that an "Alt Coin" cannot possibly overtake Bitcoin, ever! Also, the false assumption that only one coin can rise, or more precisely if one were to rise too much that would be Bitcoin would need to fall like there is some finite amount of money in cryptocurrency or something.

My thoughts are that yes, Ethereum can very well be worth $1000 each, and it may even happen this year yet. Bitcoin also may remain top dog and be worth $10,000 each, or to the horror of many, maybe it will only be $3,000 and second place to Ethereum's market cap.

As the final chuckle, the recent comment even with Ethereum recently seeing $200 in that "oh no, to reach $1000 that would mean it would need to be 5x what it is worth now". Do you people not keep abreast of what is happening. Not too long ago (5-6 months) Ethereum was trading at under $7 and it recently spiked close to $210 meaning it has seen a 30x rise in just the last 6 months, so tell me why is that extra 5x rise this year so impossible again?

The price of ethereum is 200 dollars plus . And thats very high amount because if you see the price of ethereum before its too low and after few years woow the price become 20 times and more. But for me I think 1000 dollars is possible to happen becaus eethereum have big potential coin and the price contiously increasing. I see ethereum if the bitcoin price the ethereum also increase so if the bitcoin price will reach 5000 and 10000 dollars it might be possible that 1000 dollars possible to happen. this is exactly what I want to say. Ethereum will definitely break $1000, it's just a matter of time, maybe just a few months if the super bull market continues.

I'm very confident it will break $1000 eventually. It might take years, there might (probably will be) huge price drops along the way, but it has solid real-world use cases, and the EEA continues to expand.

ETH will be #1 coin. It will not grow overnight but step by step he will climb.

If an altcoin will break 1000 USD in the future, it will probably be ethereum. Because of mining issue and marketcap.

It is possible but I don't think it's happening anytime soon yet, probably around a couple of years from now when Bitcoin's value would be like $5000 or so. But we'll see about that and keep a look on this coin because it is one to look out for.

I think it's possible but it will definitely take a while. So much is changing so fast, in a couple years Ethereum could be overshadowed by something we haven't even heard of yet.

1000$ only? maybe not, it will sky rocket up to price of BTC as of now also, maybe in 5years. Ethereum has been in the market not so long enough compare to BTC. Give it a time, there are more potential to grow.

After bitcoin on ETH has the possibility to break the price of 1000$ but it will take a lot of time to reach 1000$. Right now there are many big companies approaching into ETH project so there are chances it will increase its price.

I don't think so if the ethereum breaks $1000 but I hope so, it happen in the future. Because I believe that ethereum prices were strongly raising up, even theirs a lot of users bash this coins. Also, I know ethereum coins were still one of the trusted altcoins.

It can break $1000 in my opinion without any problem in future. It will happen but not any time soon if we say in short term then no. Ethereum ha sreached at the table of high leveled players one can realize by reading all the recent available news and developments. Ethereum will be second most valuable and successful after Bitcoin.

Yeah, Ethereum will definitely reach 1000 $ some day. When that day comes Bitcoin will be probably over 10.000 $.
And total crypto-currency market cap would be 1 trillion dollars.
