Not really, eth increased in price signifiantly after the announcement of ethereum enterprise alliance with the purpose of development and standardization of ethereum blockchain. A partnership between ethereum foundation and some of the biggest corporations of this planet.  Basically this confirmed currently ethereum is the biggest player in blockchain space in terms of development and technological adoption ( bitcoin has a different type of adoption focused on speculation ). ATM ethereum sits close to 0.015 btc per ether. Few months ago it was 0.011. Yes, bitcoin pump usually helps ether's price, but this time around it wasn't that.

ETH are doing all this stuff with the banks and whatever, most of it in secret. I suspect they are just trying to pump the price and it will go to maybe $30 over the next few months and probably stay there for the rest of the year.

I held onto my ETC when it split which I regretted at first but now I'm cautiously optimistic, the community is finally starting to get organized and address issues with the VM and langsec class of vulnerabilities that even ethereum isn't addressing (another reason I suspect a pump). All the attempted hacks on ETC were probably a great thing for the technology, stress testing and finding solutions. I see ETH as a lot lower risk for the short term but a lot more potential for ETC (but higher risk).

I cant see ETH getting much higher than it is. Smart contracts are all run on gas, which is charged in ETH. when the cost of simple value transactions is 21000 gas, or 0.00105 ETH, at present prices at about works out to almost 2 cents (1800 satoshi) per simple operation. Complex or persistent operations with smart contract will run much higher. When one looks at the price not from the point of financial speculation, and instead from a developers standpoint..... there will come a time soon when the cost of doing business on the EVM rivals traditional cloud computing subscriptions... and dApp developers will migrate to lower valued ETH based currencies.

It is really hard to make a prediction, but even the price is high now, the profit potential for the future is brilliant.

I was an early miner of ethereum, it started wall, really, but now it is just a mass of methods, it is always hard to run an ethereum node, i don't want parity or annother third party, it is somewhat complicated when it comes to run a ETC chain also, the problem is that it is still too much complicated.
I like the ipc interface, the methods are great, and provides a complete set of functions to manage the node in many aspects with call backs, but it is a development environment, not an integration environment.
Talking about integration, the world champion of integration is bitcoin, and both currencies are not comparable, bitcoin is stable, solved his shady past, well established, easy to use and integrate.
Now for support, in he ethereum side, it depends on your luck and/or support platform, you can have answers, and you can wait for days befor having something, it is worst when it comes to ETC.
For bitcoin, just ask and you will received hundreds of answers, support is important when it comes to adoption, and this is why eth will fail. The price doesn't means it is adopted, the price can be faked, easily.
Never use the price as a reliability token, exceptionally when it comes to volumes.

I think this pump will end soon, irrationality levels are off the charts. A lot of shilling is going on and the hype seem to have peaked. I wouldn't be surprised to see eth going for 500$ in a last big push, then a slow bleed for the next year down to 200-250 if not more.

Invest only $ 50 for eth and I hope the price keep rising, maybe 1 eth = 0,3 btc in the end of this year. Depend my strategy, eth will keep going up with their pattern, down never low but comes up higher. There's no analyze can show the price in the next couple years, we can only predict. Etherium will not surpass the value of Bitcoin. Neither will it equal the value of Bitcoin. That is the reality and we just have to do with that. We saw ETH reaching a new height in 2017 and this time I feel it can go beyond 2000$ or 2500$ if the market favors bitcoin and the marketcap somewhere around or close to a trillion.This is possible and going to happen.

I put in about $100 into ETH yesterday and plan on putting another $100 in today. Last I checked, it was around $3 per ETH and now it's at $19 which is absolutely great.

I haven´t invested in ethereum yet i was thinking last year when price was around 12 usd, instead of this i invested in btc. I think it is good to have both btc and eth.

Yes, in your investment portfolio you need both these crypto-currencies, they are not just in the top. If there was a choice, I would bend to Ethereum.

I believe ETH will raise soon, the second big coins is ETH after BTC. BTW better late than never man. I think you aren't late, there is a lot of people out there they still don't know about crypto, and you know before them. Of course here a lot of members knew crypto before you and you know before people out there. And I think that's natural law?

Ethereum will go as far as it can reach. If Ethereum will go secondly or totally beat Bitcoin one day, then that might be it's destiny. I loved how Eth surprised everyone by its hype this past months.
