It's the reality that we're living in. As we speak, there are too many uncertainties around the potential hard fork to just hope that the price will go up without falling back a few steps. If you look at how the market has been moving lately, then there is no reason to expect anything else in the coming weeks. My focus is pointed at a viable scaling solution, and not the price to go up higher. Every increase that we'll be experiencing without a scaling solution, it won't mean anything as we can fall back at any time.

Pretty sure we hit that or really close to it recently.. It's at almost $1200 right now. I see no reason why you couldn't see $1300 at the rate it's going. It all depends on what happens with this potential fork. It very well could get up over $1500 though imo. We'll just have to wait and see..

As mentioned now price is fluctuating around the price tag of $1200 for a long time. The same barrier when gets broken the price moves towards the next zone to gain stabilty. In a short the stabilty will help move the price gradually and possibly within few months we might touch $1300.

Wasn't $1300 reached briefly right before Winklevoss Coin ETF was rejected? We had total ATH at that time.
I checked the Bitfinex chart and it was exactly $1336 on March 6, 2017.

But if we want to see constant $1300 as a new floor, and a resistance level this might take some time.

If you look closely at the March 10 peak, you'll see an all time high of $1350 at that day. It actually surprises me that some one who's nearly a hero member doesn't know much about the price....

Exactly that what is happening now, we see this ongoing fluctuating moves around 1200$ price per btc, and so far it looks like bears are not going to make a big step.

I think that 1200 is a very important barrier for price action of bitcoin, it looks like we are having many sell orders floating above it, that is why we can spot such a strong resistance slightly above 1200US dollars.

Yes in the month of May it is expected that the price start to increase and we see the price of bitcoin increase up more than $1300. Just like a high increase in the month of May in the previous year which you may remember. The chances are there that the same occur in the coming May.

If, and only if, we stay in the present bullish channel then we can give a relative precise answer:

- The bullish channel is moving with ~ 100 $ per 7 days.
- The lower line is currently at ~1190. It will hit 1300 in about 8 days => April 17
- The higher line is currently at ~ 1230. It will hit 1300 in about 6 days => April 15

So if the channel holds, between April 15 and April 17 we will see $1300 on Bitfinex. Very probably on Easter weekend (a special present for the few Christian people here, perhaps ).

Bitcoin will surely cross 1300$ in a month or tow. The problem is the selling pressure, as soon as bitcoin price rises up people tend to sell their coins making it not sustaining at high price.

I think the whole scaling issue or debate will not stop bitcoin from touching $1300 again. We are feeling the effect of Japan accepting bitcoin legally so the demand for bitcoin has increased. As I have said in other thread, Japan could possible overtake Chinese in terms of bitcoin usage and trading volume in the next month that will push the price of bitcoin even more. Also alt-coin pump is over and investors are going into bitcoin once again so $1300 is close enough. I speculate by mid May or end of May we are going to see this price realize.

Any news that can push Bitcoin to $1300 in May?  I believe we need a good press to reach $1300.  This will bring more hype and convince the community to add more investment to Bitcoin Market.  Last ATH was a Bull trap planned by group of whales.  Some of this exchanges shorted on their trades reason why they organize  a well planned FUD by announcing something against the hardfork and make people believe that it is about to happen.  And the price quickly drop within that day after the announcement.

But I don't think there is anything wrong in selling bitcoin at higher price as we invest our money into it only to make profits and if certain price is giving us profits then without holding them too long its better to sell them off.

But just I read that bitcoin unlimited is losing its mining shares like its support is falling below 30% of total mining power.

Hence we can expect segwit to be activated at any time like it will be having more than 50% of mining shares (the non-voters are being around to be supporting segwit). So we can expect the scalability issue is coming to an end. So bitcoin will be having $1300 price level once segwit will be activated.

This analysis is very realistic I also think this week will be excited as price will boost. With current trend while it's looking stable at the current than next push will take it to hit the $1300 there.
