VTC is not pumping because of segwit. The volume is off the charts and suggests somebody with very deep pockets has taken an interest in this coin. Price will easily go at least 2x 3x from here with much less money needed.
staying the course and holding, in general there is rise in stable blockchains with the possibility for segwit, thanks for the opportunity! difference in waiting could mean a hefty sum of profit for many also, $9,233,750 daily volume is A LOT

VTC has a few things that sets it apart, established PoW coin and it gets decent volume at Asian exchanges Jubi and 19800. it's been undervalued for a long time
However, does anyone know how hard Lyra2Rev2 is to mine with Asic or if it's possible? WHen Scrypt-N came out it was supposed to be impossible to mine with Asic, but after a few years Asics were mining Scrypt-N. Is it a similar situation with Lyra2Rev2?

i would like to know about this as well Lyra2Rev2?? Either way, if ASICs are developed for Lyra2REv2, we fork to a new algorithm as has been the policy since the start.

So exciting this drama, thanks VTC! Looks like way more hash power going into this period. Someone is dedicating some serious resources to make this the one. Can they do it? . . . .grabs popcorn

I've got 4500 VTC stored in a offline wallet (from about 2 years ago), can I continue to keep it there?
Just want to make sure I don't lose my coins because of some change happening.

Also, looking at the VTC rich list. It appears that the top addresses which haven't sent any outputs for a long time have started to shift a large amount of VTC (taking advantage of the price I assume).

I don't think he's organizing pumps that are doing $10M+ worth of volume a day.

i would like to know about this as well Lyra2Rev2?? With Scrypt-N there was an issue where the N could be optimized away. With lyra, there are a lot more factors that can be changed, and therefore making an ASIC is financially impractical

Looks more like random polo pump to me, not someone taking a serious interest. You think someone was taking a serious interest in Bitcoin plus or Bytecoin or the twenty other complete garbage coins that pumped off the chart in poloniex recently (not saying vert is garbage, just that a polo pump doesn't mean much). It's not a random pump, somebody has planned this for some time. By taken an interest I did not meant long term interest. I meant somebody with deep pockets has decided to play with this coin and the current price/volume suggests he is not done yet.
