Dogecoin seems to have gained some traction and it is well known in the cryptocurrency community. Those who become active members of its forum on Reddit are awarded free Dogecoins. The coin has also had its fair share of downsides such as being robbed by a hacker.

Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange.

However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term.

It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance from the miners. Then, if it manages to become the first cryptocurrency to accept the scalable solution, it could rise in popularity once more (not to mention that transaction will be near instantaneous).

Nevertheless, Dogecoin is a great cryptocurrency being inexpensive and relatively stable, making it a great way to tip others or send micropayments faster than BTC at a fraction of the cost.

Looking forward to your opinion. Wink

Yeah ,dogecoin have  a great future in the exchange  market ,actually its is one part of the major coins that one of the most promising coins now in the market ,that maybe in the future will, paralel the bitcoin in terms of price value and  just like the other coins the time will  become popular in the crypto world, maybe this is not happen for  now but maybe in the future it is have great chances to growth.

Most of Dogecoin benefits were already mentioned above. This coin is really comfortable to use and many people simply enjoy it and will continue utilize it.
Dogecoin definitely does have a future  Smiley

Most valuable point for me is, that there have been no development since 2013. It was made for fun, so ... well..

To me, I personally do not suggest investing in Dogecoin for the following reasons:
The continued inflation is not good from an investment standpoint. There is a high chance that you will not get good returns on your investment.
The father of the project has left the cryptocurrency world for an undetermined period of time. This is not a bad thing in itself (the father of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, has been MIA for almost all of Bitcoin’s life), but Dogecoin has become directionless since his departure.
The development community hasn’t done anything (except become philanthropists) for the past 2 years.

It is a good coin with high potential. Yes, it is low, but as you have said, one does not exclude the other, so it might rise and we can get profit from that increased percentage.

Doge coin is a good coin and it is the choice of traders. doge coin varies from 35 satoshi to 100 satoshi. I get a lot of benefit in trading Doge coin. More over it can be converted into other Crypto currency.

I even consider this coin to be undervalued, a coin from small capitalizations. I try to buy it constantly. Cool Wink

from my observations, I think Dogecoin has no future, because the growth of dogecoin itself is so slow that it makes our profit too slow, so I suggest that instead of spending your time and money investing in Dogecoin, I advise you to invest in NEO coin, because the growth of NEO coin is very fast, so the profit that we can also very fast and big.

Charles Hoskinson, founder of Carando and Dogecoin, he's acting real grumpy on Twitter recently Smiley
I'm not taking sides, but do you think his behavior may affect the future of both Dogecoin and Carando? Crypto world is all about GOOD publicity now anyway Smiley

I also love this currency. Good and fast transaction is always ensured, good conduct of micro-payments, which is very convenient. It would be nice if the coin became popular.

I think that Dogecoin isn't really dead because there is still a thriving Dogecoin community. Even Coindesk captured some of the comments of existing Dogecoin dev team members which clearly indicated that as long as people are willing to engage with, learn about, or buy things using Dogecoin, it is not going to die. But ultimately, the decision is up to you. And If you want to still invest or try out Dogecoin, you can do so by exchanging any other currency for Dogecoin from CoinSutra’s cryptocurrency exchange.

Obviously, it has it has been once recommended by the john Macaffe himself and the trade volume of doge compare to others great coins is much higher and it is one of the oldest coin like bitcoin. so i do think its price cant jump like 2000 satoshi or like that but ya the value will retain. The reason for not much inflation in the price is itself its supply. As its supply is much higher so i don't think that price will have a much higher fluctuation.

no, even before, i dont see dogecoin some improvement on its price. its price range is on 20sats up to 100 sats only, and I never have seen before any hype or something changes about its price. unlike other altcoins who have passed their old prices already, and still moving forward.

Dogecoin has been around since 2013 and has a pretty well-developed community. The original dogecoin idea was a joke. The development community hasn’t done anything for the past 2 years. Recent price changes in Dogecoin market certainly has an interesting future.
