I was lately thining about safeguard, how to in fact safe wallet from malware infection? (i would like to know all of possibilities)(based on our Solaris qt)
I kept my XLR on coinexchange for few days, can I already send them into my new xevan wallet?
Yes you can send your XLR from coinexchange to your new XEVAN wallet now , I did send my coin from coinexchange to my XEVAN wallet today and it work good.

Updated Solaris Masternode Guide

If you do not know how to setup your own masternode and you need a guide, feel free to use this.
If you are having a problem with it,  you do not understand some of the content,  you are unable to do it or anything of the like, be specific about the problem.
Do not just leave a vague complaint which will not help me when i want to update the guide or help anyone who might want to write a better guide.
What i have outlined in the guide is exactly what i did to setup my first solaris masternode successfully.

i bought my VPS from Time4VPS

what package did you bought for a Masternode setup ? THANKS

@SolarisDev
Sir ! What is the next XLR plan?

#Solaris #XLR #Xevan algorithm is now live on @CoinExchangeio   http://[Suspicious link removed]/GJmLV7  #Masternode , Zerocoin soon,  Happy Trading  Smiley Smiley Smiley

I know
But I think coinexchange is not good
XLR needs a better exchange

Now when we have Solaris Xevan  coins on Coinexchange ( no more Nist5 Solaris on the market) we can apply for bigger exchange.  I hope that coinmarketcap.com will update block explorer soon for Xevan one.

Thanks for your support.

It's really good news. Solaris has turned to the new chapter. Good luck to all.

On Saturday  07 October at 14:00 UTC the new Solaris network was launched . We started to swap Solaris ( 1:1 ) through our swap system :

To ensure the smooth swap old coins you have you 60 days for swap ( until 06.12.2017 ) through our swap system .
By the swapping time ( until 06 December) Solaris with Nist5 will be still mineable,  this mean old network will be working to support swapping.  After 06 December will not be possible anymore to swap Solaris with Nist5 algorithm to Solaris with Xevan algorithm.

The brand new XEVAN algorithm replaced our older NIST5 algorithm. XEVAN was found by the Bitsend developer and has since then proven to be a stable, ASIC resistant and efficient algorithm. The Xevan hash algorithm is an unique combination from the dual X17 difficulty algorithm with an extension to 128 bits.
The new algorithm should give even more equality for CPU and GPU miners. GPU miners have less advantage making mining more energy efficient. ASIC hardware is unavailable and very hard to design due to the nature of the XEVAN algorithm.

Solaris miners can continue mining NIST5 coins until the end of the swapping period (06.12.2017).During the swapping period  we will have two chain ( Nist5 and Xevan ) running in parallel .

Solaris Masternode Setup Guide

https://i.imgur.com/8XIKKHd.png

MASTERNODES
Masternodes are computers that run a Solaris wallet and make decisions,
such as locking transactions with SwiftTX, coordinate obfuscation of coins,
and voting on budget funding. Masternodes are required to have 1000 XLR
collateral and be able to run 24 hours a day without a more than a
1 hr connection loss.

SUPER FAST
60 second block time is already very fast, Solaris transactions using SwiftTX
are instant with ZERO confirmation wait time required.

SEESAW REWARDS
To promote an even ratio between staking nodes and masternodes
 in the network.
The Solaris use a variable Seesaw Reward Balance System
that dynamically adjusts its block reward size between masternodes
and staking nodes.
The seesaw rewards was originally developed by PIVX team  .

PRIVACY
Already extremely secure and private, Solaris is aiming its sights on
establishing one of the first truly anonymous crypto-currency.
Soon, we will be using Zerocoin Protocol as our Full-time Transaction Protocol.

ASIC RESISTANT
SolarisCoin uses XEVAN as mining and spork algorithm.
This algorithm was originally found by Bitsend (BSD) and
has proven to protect against ASIC mining hardware.

SECURE
Built on Bitcoin Core 0.10.x.
with some v0.13.2 updates and Dash core v0.12.1
BIP38 Encryption/Decryption of Private Keys.

Solaris Slack
There is a special private in the Solaris slack for anyone who holds at least one masternode.
To join, you must sign an address that has at least 1000 XLR balance with the message "I want to join masternode holders" and be verified by another Solaris Node Holder or the slack admin

To request to be verified, simply join slack and post in #general channel that you want to be verified to join Solaris Node Holders

Can i send my Nist5 XLR to Coinexchange for swap?

No. Do not send more old Nist5 XLR on coinexchange otherwise you will lose your coins.
Instead swap them on this site ,minimum for swap is 1 coin https://solaris.swapyourcoins.today

I will tell you after try to use it..

i tried and get a big Error: Invalid masternodeprivkey. Please see documenation.

im not linux specialist but ive configured others MN... the VPS masternode.conf and VPS solaris.conf lack of infomation.. i really dont know what input should a put there.. is it the same of the client? Why invalid masternode priv key??

Why dont you show the ouput of masternode genkey also? Even my window wallet is giving error of "invalid masternodeprivkey. See documentaion"

Ive just generated that key using "masternode genkey" why?

Wow, the price plummeted after significant pump recent weeks.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/solaris/
However, Solaris project is very promising with some interesting features, including Seasaw, InsntantX, privateSend, masternodes. I will follow the project for sure. I am in.

Yeah I expected the price to correct after that last rise up touching $2 a XLR, now its a question of how much will it correct? But regardless I plan to accumulate more XLR as it corrects down but if I had to guess I would say a $1 is the new floor for it. I could be wrong and it could continue to drop until ZeroSolaris is implemented; that should bring the attention back to it but thats only a guess. SO far the community vote is not looking too good for crypto-bridge add if I was their devs and I saw the community poll results I don't think I would move forward tbh.  Sad

The price dropped because for the past month those mining Solaris Xevan and/or Masternodes, have not had a good exchange to sell it on. When a coin has such a small market cap it doesn't take very many people dumping a months worth of coins gained to make the price drop significantly. I expect it will go up again before too long.

The main drive for drop now is BTC... thats why ALL markets are beeing slashed.

I expected it to correct anyways as we got closer to the swap out date for coinexchange tbh there is an ole skool sayin of buy on rumor sell on news. I believe that still holds very true in todays market but XLR is still an easy pick plan to join the signature campaign and work for a second MN easy money imo. But with all the praise aside we ready do need a better exchange  Cheesy Cheesy like I love coinexchange and all but we need multiple outlets if we are ever gonna get noticed amongst the wave of shitcoins out there.

I think you've missed my question.

What exact procedure of terminating nist5 network will be?
Someone should mine till the end. But how he will receive the coins from the pool after last block is mined and send those coins to swap address if the network will be shut down?

Hey Dev, just an idea to update the website with the XEVAN wallets and remove the old Nist5 ones.

Also, I know you're busy with new features for Solaris. Would love to have you around here as often as you can. Gave me a lot of confidence when I first started digging that you were so active. I know it'd be the same for people dropping in for the first time.

You can swap Nist5 Solaris till  6 December 00:00 UTC.
After midnight  6 Dec  you  be not  able to swap the unpaid miner rewards.
Its your choice to keep mining to support network even when you know that you might miss the swap.

Hey Dev, just an idea to update the website with the XEVAN wallets and remove the old Nist5 ones.

I will remove info about  Nist5 chain after 6 Dec.

Thank you for your support!

Ok. But it also means that if everyone leave nist5 earlier the network will stop before the last checkpoint.
For example if I send last coins to swap address on 05.12 23:50 - and noone mine - then what?
But the same time - while wallets are running than - POS should work and transaction will take place, or not?
