I just pulled some code from the github repo, and i wanted to ask, should i compile a new wallet? I'm using v2.2.0.0 for both local wallet and masternode. So i'm wondering, did i miss an important update? Or it's just some minor fixes?

PM Dev, he will answer you with maximum accuracy, is this changes important enough  Smiley

The thing that bothers me the most is the anonymous team. This will be the real hindrance to the project going forward.

He can just sell his tokens at any given point in time once the price hits it's hidden agenda level, abandon the project and disappear leaving us with useless bags.

All serious project have serious and visible known teams behind them. Developer who conceal it's identity for no reason whatsoever is a huge RED FLAG.

Also, the Github repository is not very active at all, very shady:
https://github.com/Solaris-Project/Solaris/

This is maybe just about building community, some marketing roadmap and no development at all.

One big announcement, price spike and he can disappear. I'm not saying he will, but that's certainly the risk with people hiding for some reason.

The thing that bothers you most does not exist. Luckely for you I am not anonymous. As you can see in github I did the technical development of the coin. Me -> Kees de Wit, Zaanstad, the Netherlands. Skype: keesdewit82

What more you want? My creditcard?  Grin

Also, that's what I'm here for. I'm holding the premine, so funds do not move before any announcement is made. At the very least, people have a few days notice. Funds for bounties and marketing campaigns such as signatures and social media and ongoing development are released as soon as announced and when available.

It is in the best interest of the dev to maintain his coin, the price appreciates, and by next year there will be new features as indicated in the roadmap. There will be zerocoin protocol and proof of stake. If the dev has any masternodes, just like all others, they get continuous cashflow.

When the time comes, the budget system will be activated, and that's probably even bigger than what any single masternode owner will get. These will go towards ongoing development and bounties and other campaigns.

The grand daddy masternode coin of all, which is Dash, can now afford a superbowl advertisement. They didn't do one yet.

Speaking of which, is there a simple formula or spreadsheet on how to calculate or estimate average masternode earnings as more masternodes come online? Right now there are 300+. I want to know how much we get if there are 400, 500, 600, 800 or 900 masternodes total. (For comparison, the biggest masternode coin has more than 4000 masternodes.) At what point is it too many, although there will ever be only about 100 new masternodes per year after next year.

Can someone tell me what to say to someone who objects to Solaris because the supply says "unlimited" on the Solaris website?

The person who brought this up to me does have a point because a cryptocoin's value is determined by several things and one of them is scarcity.

If the supply of this coin is going to be inflated in the future, how can you say this is not going to factor into the value of the coin?

Please revolve your answer around the infinite supply issue of this coin.  Thanks,  G.P.

The rate of inflation is small, something like 130k coins per year. It will continue to slow down, just see the supply schedule in the OP.

That I can answer for you. Now Solaris might have an infinite supply however the amount of coins mined each year will only be around 130k XLR which isn't very much. So when Solaris was NIST5 the max supply was 10 million coins, with the new Solaris it will take around 60 years before we even reach the 10 million so in fact Solaris is rare and supply will be limited once more people start running their own masternodes. Solaris is almost at 400 masternodes as we speak locking way close the 50% of the circulating supply. I can see Solaris having 500 masternodes running in the next 3 to 6 months which will make the coin very scarce and in demand. Bring on 2018!

Hello i am mining your pool wiht my Nvidia rigs but i try to do it with my AMD rigs but i could do it.
I tired SGMiner, Nsgminer and gateless gate but always see "Invalid share" in my miners.

My bat file is like that:
Gateless gate
gatelessgate.exe -k xevan --gpu-platform 1 -g 1 -w 128 -I 16 -o stratum+tcp://lycheebit.com:3739 -u ADDRESS -p c=XLR_XEVAN,d=30
pause

Sgminer:
sgminer -o stratum+tcp://lycheebit.com:3739 --algorithm xevan-mod -u ADDRESS -p c=XLR_XEVAN
pause

I am mining these miners for INN coin in your pool and there is no problem but for XLR they are giving %100 rejected and invalid sahare..

PLease help !

You must use xevan algo instead of xevan-mod and add -I20 parameter, if stuck then lower it to 19,18,17...

https://phore.io/team/

What is your opinion?

Yes we see phore ... because we have Eyes ... and i think here are really some professionals.

But maybe you cant or you want understand that we are the Solaris Community.

And i tell you again ... it doesnt mater "big team with 13 Persons, bla bla" ... a smaller Team can also make Powerfull Project with his Community.

The total supply Faktor you also didnt understand ... Solaris has a really small supply against Phore.

* Solaris at the End of 2018 = 1.617.000
* Phore Now = 11.520.133 ?!

When the Solaris Community carefully handle with buy and sell XLR, running Masternodes and POS etc. then Solaris can be the Diamond under the Crypotocoins.

Now better you watch about the complete Facts from some announced Projects bevor you talking here about the other Side from the river.

@devs

I suggest a change in the Roadmap of Solaris.

Zerocoin implementation is a big deal, however, Solaris is still relatively unknown in the community, and it has so much more potential than many of the current zero and non-zero coins.

I suggest bringing forward the marketing campaign and starting on it beginning of January.
It is very shortsighted in this market not to be marketing ZeroSolaris, just compare what is happening to other less qulity zero coins out there

Hello,

I'm trying to mine XLR on my R9380x by sgminer, but after starting it, sgminer is immediately closing without any communicate. (in cmd window I have piece of address and "-p c=XLR_XEVAN", when I add "pause" in .bat)

my .bat starting file is:

sgminer.exe --algorithm xevan -o stratum+tcp://lycheebit.com:3739 -u MY_ADDRESS -p c=XLR_XEVAN

What can be wrong? How can I debug it?

I’ve been ill for a couple months and missed the chain swap cut off date.

I still have old XLR coins on Cryptopia; I suppose that means my coins are lost and I can erase/dust them from the exchange, correct?

Or are there ways (maybe via CoinExchange, or old wallets?) to still convert my old XLR to the new chain?

Many thanks

How can I debug it?

the same for me too.

Aynone have an idea ?
try:

sgminer.exe -a xevan -o stratum+tcp://poll -u wallet -p c=XLRX

or:

mining with ccminer.exe
ccminer is for Nvidia cards, not for AMD

WOW! Great development from Solaris devs on zero protocol and getting added to exchanges.
I was watching this some months back when exchange from old solaris was being undertaken and price was only $1.
Great work! I'll try to raise some btc to be able to setup a masternode.
