Even if via activates segwit before august. Nothing will happen, you could see a slight pump. But nother major. BTC is still the main currency, if that struggles, every cryptocurrency struggles, the non btc-related altcoins are the least affected. Aslong the trust in btc is gone, wich will go on till after 1st of august, even than we could see a good month where everything is going slowly. After that btc will prob recover, slow or fast? Who knows, and THAT IS the time where via could see a healthy grow. |

So everything should be ready for the segwit update now as soon as soon as f2pool gives green light as well.  @GekkoTrade it's not that the trust in bitcoin is gone, it's just that on 1st of august everyone who owns e. g. 10 bitcoins will own 10 bitcoin-classic and 10 bitcoin-core (with segwit), because of the hardfork. that's why the btc price is dropping for now. viacoin with segwit is better than viacoin without segwit, so it'll probably rise a lot in value and attract more people once segwit is activated. |

Good news. I am looking forward to the hardware wallet support. We are waiting for Ledger. I wrote the code already for it. It took me less than a day. But I don't know when they are done reviewing. Ledger is pretty busy these days. |
