Made a github commit in attempt to speed up the sync process.
I am testing it myself now by doing a sync from scratch.

Has anyone managed to get a full sync on the new wallet? Is there a blockchain download anywhere for the new version, as I'm still on Sep 2016 and it's been a couple days now and I have an SSD... Thanks.

Work is getting done to update the bootstrap by Cryptochainer.com Also working on making the sync time faster atm. Made a commit this morning to the master branch. It's a bit faster but not fast enough, if Viacoin sync time is faster, I will release new wallet versions. |

Only bootstrap needed to speed up sync |
