if you think its a roger vs the world or a china +roger vs .. then please actually stop reading the reddit scripts and do some proper research
I already told you, I rarely ready Reddit. And when I do its not about BU or BTU or whatever ripoff of bitcoin's name you want to call it. If the hardfork takes places, Roger will have stepped outside of the consensus mechanism. He will no longer be a part of "bitcoin" but "Bitcoin Unlimited." He also owns the bitcoin.com domain. Please explain to me how by changing the content of the site to promote Unlimited he would't be severely undermining the entire legitimacy of bitcoin. how about because Bitcoin is decentralized? And no one group (Core) can tell everyone else what is the one true version of Bitcoin?

Because let's face it: there's no way a soft fork is happening. So nobody will be able to tell Rog & Co. what they can or can't do. I'm just saying changing the content of the bitcoin.com site to reflect Bitcoin Unlimited promotion would be a really low blow, if indeed he goes through with the hard fork.

Well you are assuming there will be a network split...and you're also assuming that the small block version with a smaller proof of work chain will still get to call itself "Bitcoin"...which is certainly questionable. So lets not get ahead of ourselves.

You assume there won't? if BU, XT, classic wanted to split off without majority they woulda done it by now. they would have even done it when gmax begged them What you are describing is what I and others call a bilateral hardfork-- where both sides reject the other.
I tried to convince the authors of BIP101 to make their proposal bilateral ... Sadly, the proposals authors were aggressively against this.
The ethereum hardfork was bilateral, probably the only thing they did right--
and when all the REKT campaigns begged them to F**K off but no BU, XT, classic and the rest are just plodding along waiting for natural consensus. no threats, no PoW bombs. no blackmails.. no deadlines. just free open choice.

This type of behavior is inconsistent with Core/Blockstream ideals.

You assume there won't? I don't assume one way or another. But, if there is a split and bigger blocks are the longest chain, I think it is more likely than not that the big-block/long chain version will keep the bitcoin name, one way or another.

never underestimate your competition. yeah good for you. Even if ethereum price will goes to 1000$ or paypal stock goes to 10.000, Bitcoin will still works great as a really decentrilised and anonymous payment system that no one control it. go back to your leader Vitalik, Roger Ver, Jihan wu or the president of Bitcoin Unlimited to whining. Bitcoin is an ancap system and will remain like this and no one cares what you want or what anything else need.

The rest of us that use bitcoin and believe to it we really know what Bitcoin has and what Ethereum has not. is the same answer to question what paypal or banking system has and bitcoin or vise versa has not....

Well to me you just sound like an apologist for core-created stagnation.
I'll continue to ring the alarm bells because the fundamentals of Bitcoin house are indeed burning down.

I didn't say it. I am quoting "The One" , if you follow the links. I thought it was very insightful he used to be a 'core fanboy' and admits most of them are clueless. I venture to guess you fall into that category, whatever the percentage may be.
