Are there already infos out there for running a masternode? How many tokens will be needed?

It takes 100k and 500k to run nodes, the 100k’s sustain the gates and the 500k’s sustain the stability and blocks

Is there a detailed guide or link for setting up the node and can this information be confirmed by the team? Would love to see this go live along with the mainnet in August.

At the end of this year, lots of projects on the ethereum network will hit the mainnet, crypto will probably go mainstream if people start to use it instead of just speculation.

cant get my eth wallet to sync, any way to recover my sonm's?

Do you have your private key ? Try to log in on my etherwallet with your private key and maybe you will be able to get your token back.

Thanks for your reply.
No I dont have the private key Sad, I have my SONM tokens on the ETH OSX wallet downloaded from Ethereum.org, got password and the software on but its not syncing. Is there any way to download the files needed for the sync manually in order to speed up the process?

Most wallets offer to export the private key. At least they should - check if your wallet does.

I'm trying to get there but when I now open the wallet I get this message:

Couldn't connect to node? See the logs for more:

Node type: geth

Platform: darwin (Architecure x64)

This is big news about the start of testnet of Crypto-IaaS and same time starting the countdown for the release of live net. I will have more time at weekend and hopefully will be downloading and participating in the testing. SONM team is like always doing things in syncing with other developments very punctuality and systematically.

I understand but a project of this magnitude takes time. We're talking about running a supercomputer, an idea that wasn't expected to happen for years. They need to make sure it's bugfree and working properly, we don't need a verge scenario happening where one attack ruins sonms reputation

I’m talking about current crypto in general.  This is why SONM must deliver a real world value.

Yeah, you're right. 2018 could be a big year for altcoins. I fully share your view that only altcoins which will be in demand will survive in long term. I believe SONM one of them.
In my opinion, technology behind SONM, is a very strong from fundamental point of view.

That's not what centralization means. Anyway more masternodes would rise the transaction fees.

It is better to wait for the full launch of the work product. While the project does not work, the price for the SONM coin is built on expectations. When the coin starts to be used on the working platform, its price will fly up.

Hello,
I have a question about the masternodes and will be very grateful if someone from the support will answer it.
I am debating on purchasing enough SNM for Gate masternode (100k snm) or even  Block producing masternode (500k snm) ,but
i am not sure about something i read on the Sonm blog post about masternodes :
https://blog.sonm.io/sonm-masternodes-details-draft-38edb5c81921

In the end of the blog there is a passage :
"There is another high probability, that with new Ethereum releases, introduction of PoS, sharding and other ecosystem improvements (such as leaded by Parity and Polkadot) we will have an opportunity to migrate to stock Ethereum and in that case we will not require our dedicated blockchain masternodes at all! "

If i understand this correctly it means that if ETH solves the scallability issue,  SNM will no longer need its own SNM blockchain and will migrate all of its operation on the ETH network. In other words there wont be need for any type of masternodes.
If that is the case dont you think that future investors like me who are looking to invest exactly for the passive income of the masternodes are taking a huge gamble, because all the expectations are that ETH will solve the scallability issue till the end of the year.
What is the point of having a masternode when it will have work life of less than 6 months?

Greetings
