I have the same concern. If the growth rate (price when hitting an exchange / ICO price) is equal to or lower than BTC or ETH, it is meaningless to invest in the ICO.

I think It will not be under ICO price . Look at GNT project (nearly the same SONM project) you can see it's only 0.00004btc for ICO price but now it's 0.0001xxbtc after some months launched but for the SONM project it's got some better specifications than other projects.

The problem is that SONM ICO is ETH based, and since the Pre-ICO, ETH have raised like 150USD so new people who want to invest have a huge disadvange on participation. I have contacted SONM team via facebook messenger and they have told me that this issue will be corrected before ICO, but I haven't heard anything since.

SONM Team should make an announcement about how are they going to proceed with this subject ASAP, and not wait till one day before ICO so investors can evaluate if it's worth it to enter the ICO, or wait.

Yes, the current exchange rate of 606 SNM per 1 ETH means that 1 SNM will be like $0.30 which is a substantial price per token for an ICO. However this might coinsidentaly solve the problem with the ICO ending in 12 hours and being largely dominated by huge whales who later dump 10% of the whole token supply at the same time and destroy the price. They'll also be hard pressed to obtain so many tokens like they did in previous ICO campaigns and this will probably make the campaign run for maybe a few days at least, allowing more regular people to join in albeit with smaller shares.

Maximum amount of SNM tokens to be issued during the ICO: 165 680 000 SNM *

Maximum ICO funding cap: 273 399 ETH ** (50 million USD with the current ETH price)

50 million usd /165 680 000 SNM = .30 cents per token aprox.

The pre-ico token owners will get an exchange rate of 1 pre ico token = 2 Ico tokens. If someone invested $1000 USD when ETH was at 50$ in pre ico times, 1000/50= 20 ETH, 20 ETH multiplied for 606SNM tokens he will get 12,120 preico tokens and then multiplied by 2 = 24,240 SNM tokens. IF someone wants to invest in the ico $1000 USD and let's say the ETH price is going to be 200$ per ETH, they would get only 5 ETH * 606= 3030 SNM tokens! Thats an Eighth part (1/8) of the pre ico owners for the same usd invested!! That is NOT a fair ICO, and should be corrected.

Yes, there is big difference between the Golem and Sonm but when it comes price Sonm has more stability that it can easily reach more than the ICO price. Because the potential of the coin makes many investors invest in this project.

Lol... I have a feeling this ICO wouldn't exist if Golem wasn't at a $300million+ valuation.  And that's why I have trouble investing in this.  Could anyone explain what the major difference is between SOMN and Golem?...besides the higher cap and crappier position of investors.  I want to find a reason to invest.  Thank you.

I'm serious here.  I want to know what advantages SONM has over Golem.  If you can link to the compare matrix, that would be awesome.  Because as of now, I just see a huge difference in initial ICO size, which is bad for investors.
