I know it's not set in stone but I agree the initial pricing is too steep for a token that won't show full use until August 2018.  By that time Ethereum as well at Bitcoin could be tripple their value.
That would be good for Sonm project but bad for investors.  Yes Sonm's value will increase over time but it won't be able to match percentage of Eth since there are other Dapps and projects closer to completion.

If the current ICO trend is anything to go by, SONM ICO too will sold out in minutes, it is one of the best ICO left this month with fair distribution, but the earlier the better they come up with the structure of the ICO because investors are waiting for this information. I hope the project has Asia presence, a market that cannot be ignored

No ico recommends investors use address from exchangers especially eth projects because you can not control the new token
We recommend you move it to myetherwallet It's not a difficult thing, anyway we still have time left.

I think they said they'll adjust for high ether price by decreasing the total amount of tokens(thus making individual tokens more valuable in the longer run), but don't quote me on that.

This project is starting to smell like shit the longer it's out in the open.  I don't know why they're being vague with the cap.  No shit- we know crypto prices are volatile.  But the idea that you can't even get yourself to give us a guarantee that it will be below $30million USD fiat- which is the standard for your type of project...gives me PAUSE

Starting to think the people behind this don't care about long term success of this project.

The cap will be announced closer to sale, as stated. No one will be able to buy in the sale before the cap is set, and announced, days in advance. There will be no mystery on the cap, you will have ample time to see it (days in advance) before the sale goes live.

This is nice update good to know about this project has very good reputation I think so many people were interested to know more details about upcoming ICO. I hope this official response would be helpful for them.

As we all have experienced with BAT. Can you please put a max on the amount of coins you can buy. For example 10, 50 or 100k. And also give everybody a fair price, so don't use the GASS. With bat some buyers raised the GASS to about 6000USD. Beter skip that. and give extra coins for the 6000. Crypto should be the way to go because transaction fees are small. Please let it be small. Also with a ICO.

The concept of decentralized supercomputer is close to Golem and other competing projects (Elastic, iExEc). But SONM project has strong benefits comparing to them.

For example, here are the SONM benefits in comparison with Golem (quote from the SONM Whitepaper, section 5.2):

- Golem network hasn’t demonstrated concept proof yet. Golem network currently isn’t able to process
general purpose computing. Their network is available in the test mode only for CGI rendering.
Furthermore, SONM uses more common and standardized BOINC platform, also used in lots of existing
distributed projects, therefore SONM is compatible with many of them.
In addition, as we are developing SONM using a lot of open source technologies, we already have the core,
network platform and most of the other important features of the project, and, in fact, we are ahead of the
Golem project at least by two years of development.

- Golem’s range of applications is still limited. At the moment, efficiently tested tasks in Golem are limited
only to rendering CGI in Blender.

- Golem has less functions. Golem represents “peer-to-peer market” for computational resources. SONM
is the cryptographically secure protocol providing tasks distribution, validation of results and proportional
correct payment for the used computational power

- Validation of the computing results. Results validation system is one of the Golem project’s weak spots.
Not all of the computations’ results are being validated, so Golem is depending on their reputation system
to prevent users from paying malicious miners for wrong results of calculations. This system is potentially
vulnerable and can be exploited.
SONM uses BOINC verification system allowing to check all the received results for correctness.
