I sent them a few emails to info@sonm.com and preico@sonm.com two weeks ago asking for refund but my request is still being ignored, this is very unprofessional...

what do you mean refund
if you invest in ico selling, buy sonm in ico selling, and then youre ready receice sonm coin, you can't refund, you only can trade in market

Yes, it is not possible to get a refund from the company because they will allocate SNM coin to you where you can trade them in the market for profits.
Like you there are many people who will ask for a refund but it not possible for the SONM support to refund you.

I don't why People make investments without doing their personal research and due diligence. If you did read the terms and conditions of the token sale, You'll realize that there is no refund mechanism in place. If refunds are available, I'm just more than 90% of investors would ask for it as Sonm didn't turn out to be a "Quick profit" ICO.

SONM ICO FAQ says:

Quote
SONM tokens will be issued automatically via Ethereum smart contract. ICO smart contract code on GitHub will be public and available for audit by anyone.

unfortunately i think there is nothing more. there aren't any milestones they have to reach before they can use the collected ico-money.

investors get their tokens. thats it. they don't have to deliver anything. and i am quite sure that they won't.

i learned my lesson. i won't invest in ICOs without something like this in the future.

Quote
Escrow milestones
The release conditions process will be 30% release at the end of the crowdsale.
30% at the delivery of the beta wallet and first API Cluster.
30% At the delivery of the beta validator.
10% at the delivery of the plugin system

The bullet goes where you point the gun.

The funds go to where you put your deposit address. There is literally less than 0% chance that they "accidentally" sent the funds to an address other than what you specified. Hence why it was done automatically via a smart contract.
Why did I enter the address in the entry field of myetherwallet?
Before that, I used the same field to enter the ether address to buy tokens for BTC and everything was fine. Yes, they probably have a smart contract, but why should I suffer because of this. This is a flaw in the ICO website.

I sent you a PM asking for some details hit me up and we will see what can be done.

I have exactly the same trouble! PM me too, I'll send you as much info as you want! I'm trying to get any help for 2 weeks via email, but it turns out that all I had to do is to PM you info? hah, I have a fit of hysteria  Cry

so this is over. nothing will happen here. and all what investors got are worthless tokens.

Well, after posting everywhere finally the Alexey guy came to slack to say, basically, I was wrong, without not even reading my email and the explanations. He just said "exchange rates can't be wrong" and disconnected. Great respect for the community.

It is so obvious they sent me less tokens, either using the timestamp of my transaction in BTC blockchain, or using the time they themselves processed my transaction. All of this is in the unchangeable blockchain, can't be fooled.

So tell me, what's the difference between this and a scam? Delivering partially is also a scam (you sell 10 but deliver 7), changing the rules of the game after people put money in is also scam, or not? Showing in their website 1 USD = 9 SNM then giving you much less.

Take a look at their website now: https://ico.sonm.io/

See that there is showing 1 USD = 10 SNM, right? Suppose the ICO was now, you send 2000 usd in BTC, how many SNM tokens do you expect to get? 10 x 2000 = 20,000, can't be clearer than this. But no, they give you 15,000. Lol, tell me how possibly can this be correct? What a shady ICO.

I have the same thoughts... mb we can provide some kind of petition to Buterin to block at least part of the money, which they gathered, until all problems will be solved?
everything, what is happening is NOT normal! It looks like sonm have no idea about management at all!

That's utter bullshit. What "exchange rates" does he refer to?? I've been monitoring the ETH/BTC rate on Kraken since the very first to the 6th confirmation of my BTC transaction, and it's always remained below 0.14. Based on the SNM I received, a rate of 0.1432 was applied instead, that means a loss of more than 2%. And I got obviously no bonus at all, even though the ICO was then between 40-50%, so a 5% bonus was due.
Furthermore, hiding and question dodging are totally disrespectful to people who trusted and invested their coins in this project. That's just disgraceful. Angry

I am not going to respond to the scam accusation because I don't know shit about that situation.  But for the website, I thought it was pretty obvious it is a script calculating this dynamically.  This should been obvious to any investors who had a brain.

The website calculates the current price of current price of ETH relative to SNM.  Right now ETH is around $295.  It shows 1 USD = 10 SNM

1ETH = 2824 SNM
$295 / 2824 = 10.6 cent per SNM or  ~1 USD per 10 SNM by multiplying by 10.

Everything on the ICO page is correct and adjusted dynamically according to the price of ETH, which been swinging as of late.   Find some other petty shit to bitch about.  This isn't a fight you will win.

Hey dipshit.  How do you get the exchange rate when its sent when it doesn't require you to login?

The exchange rate is right there -- 1 ETH = 2824 SNM excluding bonus.  This does not change regardless on how ETH USD fluctuate. What the fuck is the issue?  Where did they rip you off?

I won't waste my time with such low person as yourself, you are attacking without logic in your arguments. Exchange rate shown wasn't delivered, period. I can prove it, period.

You are also stupid and dishonest, I'm talking about the other exchange rate since I sent the investment in BTC.

You are just embarrassing yourself.

The real scammers are people who want to make quick bucks and run & the bounty hunters. If you don't believe the project don't invest. If you are scare of getting scammed don't invest. Many successful projects take years to succeed. If you don't have the patience, you shouldn't invest. You will lose your money in a heartbeat.

That's the question. One cannot tell what the hell they did. Which exchanges did they use to begin with? They disagree with prices in

http://coinmarketcap.com/

Why show a rate in dollars if they want to use another thing? BTC/ETH? Even in this case I couldn't figure out which exchange rate they used to give me far lower SNM, in my case at least 13,000 in second investment, simply makes no sense.

The sonm_community guy went through with me and agreed, but to no avail.

They made a huge confusion and screwed up the calculations, but don't want to admit it and fix it. IF they put a price 1usd = 8SNM, they ought to deliver it, otherwise is just misleading. If they disagree, give the money back, it is very simple.

I don't know what this has to do with the case here, but anyway vuvanle120 I did believed in the project!! I have no intention in rushing to exchanges to flip the token, honestly. Just check my previous posts about the project.

I just wanted my due tokens, been trying to solve this since the very moment I sent my investments. But since they ignored completely and disrespected their investors, just give the money back. Can't be simpler than this.

I know you all holding tokens are pissed off with the FUD, but try to understand and support instead of fighting the facts. This problem here is just the tip of the iceberg.

so this is over. nothing will happen here. and all what investors got are worthless tokens.

Angry

You're clearly the smart one.  LOL.  Its right there in the page source.  I bold it for you since you are too stupid.  They are getting the USD rate from etherscan.io's API -- see below.  As for the BTC/ETH conversion rate - they do the conversion using Shapeshift.  Shapeshift has an API for this.  They literally said that they are doing using shapeshift so obviously the rates were provided for Shapeshift.  Whatever they get back from shapeshift side, they just take the eths received from you and multiple it by 2824 then any applicable bonus (which i'm aware was the only part that was miscalculated).  If you want guaranteed rate of 1 ETH = 2842 SNM, send ETH next time.  No buts or what if as the rate of btc/eth does move.  Obviously.  Not obvious enough.

1&nbsp;USD = <span id="usdRate">7</span>&nbsp;SNM

            var etherscanUrl = 'https://api.etherscan.io/api?module=stats&action=ethprice&apikey=YourApiKeyToken';
            var etherCap = 117337;
            var tokensAmount = 331360000;
            $.ajax({
                url: etherscanUrl,
                success: function (data) {
                    var ethusd = data.result.ethusd;
                    var usdCap = etherCap * ethusd;
                    var usdCapMln = Math.round(usdCap * 0.000001);
                    var usdRate = Math.round(tokensAmount / usdCap);

                    $('#usdCap').text(usdCapMln);
                    $('#usdRate').text(usdRate);
                }
            })

Almeida is just too stupid to do math. He/She want only a fast ROI to get into another ico but sonm is long term hold and he/she stuck with sonm and he/she mad about it.
