Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

The guy "organizing" that group buy vacated Canada middle of last year, and I believe it was for Bitfury stuff that doesn't yet exist. Far as I'm concerned, it's defunct and irrelevant.
That's true. Im unfortunately not anymore in Canada.  Grin

Good job Sidehack really nice product.

Do you still have some available ?

No, they had too many reliability issues so I shut 'er down to work out whatever kinks were causing problems. I'll have a new and vastly superior model in a few months though.

Looking forward to the product announcement.

My pod is still banging away at 275MHz (119 Gh/s,) so not all were bad.

Loving the POD miners.

I first had a 2PAC which I got off ebay.  I overclocked it, but the fan I had pointed at it failed which then caused my 2PAC to be fried.

I then contacted Sidehack and purchased 2 x Terminus.  Initially I had problems with one of my pods only seeing 5 chips, but I reflowed it and now I have 2 pods running very reliably at stock 200MHz.  When I try to overclock they seem to restart, so I am guessing they might need a better 12V power supply.

I am also looking forward to the new announcement.

Keep up the good work Sidehack Smiley

im curious at what the input voltage range supported will be.

I have a bit of a 12V battery system at home with a max operating voltage of 14V... typically floating at 13.9...   would this be acceptable?

I'm still in for pods in the future.   They are gonna my little solar powered munchers.

I have a pair of them running @ 250 MHz and 107.5 GH/s each. They've been going non-stop (except for system reboots) 24/7 for over two months straight. One has gone solid light, but still hashes fine. Have them on a wire shelf on their side with a 5" desk fan pointed at the bottom of the boards.

I'm definitely on-board for the new pods!

It's pretty standard for the price of something to double every time it changes hands.

It varies quite a bit depending on the type of item and often on the specific item, but most tech-related stuff tends to have a markup between 60% and 100% at every distribution level.

Whoops I must have forgot to mention I have a new pod miner in development, the Terminus R808. It still uses BM1384 (8 of 'em, hence the name) that should run 100GH off a 12V3A brick and 140GH from a 5A brick. Haven't fully tested yet but it should run that 100GH without a fan (turn it on its side for improved convection), and it has adjustable core voltage and built-in 80C thermal shutoff. At four inches square, it's the smallest not-stick Bitcoin miner made in what, two years?

Everything works except the main Vcore power is misbehaving so I'm redoing that part from scratch. The new layout is already done and I'll be sending off for prototype PCBs tomorrow. It also already works with VH's current cgminer build.

My test unit (running off a hacked external buck) is hashing away at 250MHz (110GH) as seen in the link above.

Genie = https://www.halloweencostumes.com/i-dream-of-jeannie-costume.html

Such genies imply the use of magic smoke.

Terminus R808 - magic smoke = bad thing.

Therefore: NO GENIE FOR YOU.

Yes, very closed. I made a few hundred, but something with the chips was causing an unacceptably high failure rate so I shut it down.

Hey Sidehack,

I had sent one of my Terminus in for repair a while back and have not heard from anyone, would you be able to give me an update on it.

Thanks
