there is nothing i am afraid.
only thing that you can trust for long term investment is bitcoin. all the other altcoins will go down in the long term and only it is in short term that they get pump and dumped and can give you any profit.
and always try to do your own analysis instead of asking others to tell you what to invest in.

there was one altcoin called DMD (Diamond) that i think had a pretty good stable price and if i am not mistaken it was a POS system. you might want to check that out because i don't have many details on it.

For the best altcoin to invest for a longterm was the ethereum.
Its has a stable price and an improving ICO.
The feature of this coin was continue to become better.
And many speculation saying that ethereum will reach $1,000 soon in 2018.
But aside from ethereum , bitcoin cash is also a good coin to hold.
Because it has many supporter help it to improve.

I totally agree with your recommend. Both of them are good coins with big market cap. If you do not have enough money, you can choose 3 coins of them such as Monero, Dash and Zcash

litecoin  eth  and so on , because their price will finally come back the highest price

Agreed, choose a coin from the top 5-10 of coinmarketcap, Ripple would be a very good choice. But do your own research too, don't go with someone else's word. Its your bitcoin to lose so, go with a stable, high supply, good development and something that is actually a practical crypto currency in the future.

i was thinking why op asking for what to invest when his capital is in safer coin than

Of course Top 10 is always good coins which should destine long term investment. But if you choose a coin in top 10 to investing then profit give for you will low because top 10 includes coin that have market cap is very large.

I sugguest you to buy EOS as it is based on proof-of-stake and is also one such alt-coin for a good long term investment. If proof of stake isn't much of concern then ARDR is what you should be HODLing as the team behind the coin the NXT coin team (JELURIDA) is pretty good and the project itself holds much future business based use-case.

I feared that such a long term is to risky for alt coins to invest in, the only thing I know is that for a less risky investment, why don't you just stay on BTC. If you really wanted to invest in alts, choose the top which I think is the ethereum.
