Let's not turn into barbarians and murderers, supporting the death penalty. I think that life imprisonment is much worse. So everyone should have a second chance.
You say so because you are faced with the murderers personally. These people have no right to life. When the predator has rushed on the man killing him because he crossed the line and will not stop. The person is better Nothing! It is even worse because they can cheat. I'm for the death penalty!

the death penalty is a good punishment to me for some cases. Of course for some case only as you won't punish someone for stealing a candy, so there must be a limit.

Currently, only the death penalty can stop the wave of crime. In some prisons, conditions are much better than in schools, so criminals are not afraid of anything and get a good life for bad deeds.

You forget about what life in prison even in good conditions, it is difficult. On the other hand, those who commit less serious crimes than murder are sitting in the same conditions and not re-educated. By the way, today came the news that the penalty in Arkansas was postponed.

Let's not forget about those who don't think about prison and the conditions the'll have to live in. About those who are broken, mentally ill, the sociopaths.
These people like to see suffering and it relaxes them. They don't know boundaries and are unfit to live in a society. What should we do with them? Dedicate tons of money to support them and guard them until their sorry end? The best way would be to isolate them on a remote island and let them live there or kill each other, just far away from everyone else. They would have their chance to live in peace and the freedom to kill themselves if they wanted to.

It must be supposed to be difficult since puttting a person in a jail isn't just to keep them away from innocent people but aslo to give them a punishment. Hence, although a jail  or people who's in the jail feel good, it doesn't mean it's easy to luve there.

Have you heard about the super-luxury prisons in Norway? Check this:

http://www.businessinsider.in/Take-A-Tour-Of-Norways-Prison-Utopia-Where-Inmates-Have-Access-To-A-Recording-Studio/articleshow/44976697.cms

Norway last used death penalty in 1979. Now the results are there for everyone to see. The crime rate is rocketing up (partly fueled by the uncontrolled immigration from third world nations such as Somalia and Afghanistan) and women are felling insecure after the dark.

I'm fine with an occasional execution but the reason why they're rushing these don't seem to be right.

I support the death penalty. Any liberal laws lead to more crimes. Migrant crisis in Europe also proves it. Only the presence of weapons among the population is holding back a huge amount of crime in the United States. Here you have all the liberalism.

You're in EU? Do all countries there really have unarmed police? I really found that surprising and baffling at the same time. I live in a third world country and none of our police here would be caught dead without a gun. (Whether the gun actually work properly is a different issue.)

Death penalty is very difficult issue, from political side, medical, social, philosophical, religious etc.
In case of war, to defend the nation and people, soldiers can shoot and kill the enemy.
However, what if we are not at war?
Does society have a moral right to apply the principle of an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, life for life, as in the Old Testament?
In the most countries in the world today, answer is simple no.
They do not want to destroy human life, but to rehabilitate the person and allow repentance and new life.
I think that such way is much more humanistic than death penalty practice today in America.
If someone is too dangerous for society, it is clear that we will not let him out.

I share your views on rehabilitation but there are some people who really wouldn't change, hard that maybe to accept. Or maybe we just haven't found the proper tools. Neurology seem to offer solutions in the future.

For now though, we are stuck with criminals where some may repeat the offense or commit worse crimes later. Provided they were really proven guilty, I'm fine having capital punishment as a final resort, as a last option for really violent offenders. That or keep them locked up and on medications forever.
Yeah, we seldom have armed police.  There are some special units which are armed for emergency situations (like terrorism), but usually they're not armed.  People like to think that the death penalty is some kind of amazing deterrent, but it's really not - I would be much more scared of spending my whole life in prison than just dying and getting done with it.

In as much that I dont support death penalty outrightly becasue sometimes I just have this feeling that death penalty is actually a simple way out for those who have committed heinous crime but at the same time, some people will force your thinking towards that direction and even the society. For example someone who has committed an offence that deserves death penalty but sentenced to life imprisonment can still find his way back to the society to commit more atrocities that would have been saved if he had just been sentenced to death.

I'm against the death penalty, it will not be any use. And it is better to launch criminals into organs or conduct experiments on them for the development of science.

In the U.S. state of Arkansas for eleven days from 17 to 27 April - going execution of seven men sentenced to death. The reason for such haste is that at the end of the month expiration midazolam - medicines used for injections in the execution of the death penalty. Over the last ten years in Arkansas were not executed prisoners. The seven men were handed down death sentences in the period between 1990 and 2000, the years for murder, robbery and rape. Midazolam is one of the drugs used in the process of execution of a death sentence to the convicts fainted. In the US the use of this drug is considered controversial after 2014, one of the sentenced to death more than 40 minutes remained conscious after the injection of midazolam and died a painful death. European manufacturers of midazolam refuse to deliver to US an additional batch of the drug. Existing stocks will end shortly, so in Arkansas and hurry to execute the death penalty.
Midazolam from European countries am hearing this word for the first time. Though the crime committed by this men is a crime against humanity, I think what Europeanist is trying to do is inline with united nations recommendations of abolished capital punishment. Rape is evil murder is inhuman but capital punishment is evil more than all of them.

Wonderful idea!

Every year, thousands of people die of organ failure (lungs, kidneys, liver, heart, pancreas.etc). Not enough donor organs are available to satisfy the demand. It will be a great idea to harvest the organs of the criminals.

I would love to see it implemented on certain cases in Europe. Pedophiles, rapers and killers should be all executed within a short time after their crime is proven to be made by them. Murders are raising in numbers in Europe, so the abuses with children and rape is becoming more and more common, in fact in Italy the first crime of 2017 was a rape. In such cases death penalty would be good for our population.

The death penalty is an immoral way of solving the situation and an indication that violence is good. We need to re-educate the criminals with correctional labor.

Cleveland police (Ohio, USA) is looking for a suspect in the murder, which was allegedly broadcast via Facebook Live service on the social network. A murder victim, according to police, became a 74-year-old man.
Suspect named Steve Stevens, once "shot a man in live, said that he "killed many people". It is noted that the verification of information do law enforcement, but it is known that the video was available on the social network for several hours, after which the record is deleted. The company Facebook has denied this information, saying that the entry made and published in the social network after the Commission of the murder. According to the company, the live broadcast was not. And who then say that the death penalty should be canceled?

The death penalty is an immoral way of solving the situation and an indication that violence is good. We need to re-educate the criminals with correctional labor.
I agree on that. However, if crime is too much that government are not capable to accomodate imprisoned, I don't see anything wrong in death penalty. I also agree that if a crime is intended to do and there are alot of evidence, there is no reason to process it as what we have today that even the worst crime that the evidence is strong against accused person, he can still escape through that because of too much process.

in Russia ,for, example, there is no death penalty
maximum prison sentence is 25 years
what is most strange, majority of the population (according to the polls) are pro death penalty

After 25 years of his life in prison can no longer release criminals into society. They have crippled psyche and they are dangerous to society. He will not be able to live among normal people and will definitely commit a crime again to go to prison and live his usual life.

If the prisons are overcrowded or the offender is not there for the first time, then you can apply to the death penalty for particularly serious crimes.

The problem of the abolition of the death penalty does not apply to prison overcrowding. In prisons the bulk of the prisoners sitting for crimes which do not fall under the category of high threat.
