I agree 100%. If someone commits a heinous crime such as rape or murder, then he must receive the adequate punishment for that. A lot of countries have abolished the death penalty, under pressure from the Catholic church. This is insane. These bishops and deacons stay inside their posh residences, driving around BMWs and Bugattis. They will never understand the pain of some individual who lost his loved one to crime.

In our country, these topic is also one of the best topic to start in a debate because it is really one of the best but hardest solution to criminality. We are a christian country so most of the people believe that killing people with this punishment is a sin. For me, death penalty is a good punishment for very huge and heavy crimes, like rape especially the young ones, murder and other in like. We must not let these kind of people roam our peaceful country.

In my opinion, death penalty will be implemented or given to those criminals who commin sin that beyond human doing, or should i say those who make sin that worst than animals should be treated that way also. I know it is really too much but as for the reason that they would be afraid to comint murderous actions if the law is very strict, just think of this, if that someone has killed one of your family members, would you just sit around and wait til the government gives an order to let him rot in jail? In Russia in prison to the prisoners even hookers lead. There are all alcohol and drugs. It all depends on whether the perpetrator of money. No it's better to destroy them.

Australia is one of the successful examples. But there are a lot of failed examples as well, the most famous being gulags in the former USSR. The former gulag cities such as Ukhta and Vorkuta are decaying remnants now. Also, you need to remember that only a part of the colonizers to Australia were convicted criminals. The rest were poor farmers and businessmen.

For me death penalty is against the law of God. He tells us not to kill so why should we support death penalty? It s killing a person. According to ten commandments, we should not kill people. So I'm quite sad if death penalty will be implemented. Generally i don't aggree with the death penalty. Because firstly,  The death penalty goes against our most basic human right which the right to life. And also It sends the wrong message: why kill people who kill people to show killing is wrong. So it's a little bit stupid.
And finally, being killed by lethal injection or being electrocuted is not always smooth and painless, sometimes it causes a painful death.
To sum up i won't never aggree with the death penalty.
However some criminals will never be punished enough, and the families of the victims will always have this rage and the will to take revenge.
This subject is a little bit difficult to have a spécific opinion. That's all for me

Death penalty is one of the ways the society takes revenge for the presumed weak party.

It is excusable in law to pass a death penalty. This is to debar intending offenders. The question is whether it has actually served its purpose & to that effect I would say yes because if not for some of the mechanism of law, according to Thomas Hobbes;  life would have been brutish & short.
