Totally loving this game right now. I think it will be the first game on EOS with so many different economic mechanisms and high quality graphics. The only thing that I'm finding difficult is progressing ahead. Limited money, tools with a low shelf life kinda get you stuck. But still a great game!

can someone who has played the game please post here about it there is hardly anything on the internet about this game and it seems that the only place to see updates is through the february medium post or reading the telegram channel which seems to be the most active and which I was just shown by a friend a few minutes ago but can someone post their experience with the game or a screenshot or two from their gameplay here

there is also a steemit post from 2017 that talks about the pre-beta game that was out because apparently there was a practice game and that was available to everyone if I am not mistaken then the recent beta was 100 chosen test users who got to test the game first and look for bugs and then they were just going to fix any bugs but seem to have gotten more ideas according to their telegram channel and are now adding to the game so maybe this thread could also be used for suggestions and suggestions would be easier to make if we all knew a little bit more about how the beta test went and had some information from the people who were involved

there could be other materials that you can mine to make higher quality tools and maybe every once in a while there could be random gemstones that come out when you are mining gold and people could start selling the gems to each other to be cut and to be added to gold jewelry to make different kinds of jewelry and again this is the future but there could be character customization and people could use the resources in the game to make different jewelry and clothing in far future updates

and people may be wondering why you would want to do this when the game is about extracting a currency token and doing things that are directly supporting those who are extracting the currency token but if there were things in the game that were extremely rare and that became like memes that people shared on social media for the holidays like bunny ears and santa hats and leprechaun hats and everything then more people would learn about the game and it would be more fun for the newer users to see those things and they could actually go on a cryptocurrency exchange and buy prospectors gold with ethereum and go in the game and buy those things for themselves and they would feel like they got something they really wanted while the market price of prospectors gold goes up because they put real money on the market to get this digital object

because the developers were sharing some mining history and icons in february I am going to share something about gold mines for everyone so that they understand gold economics in the world better so when you have a gold mine in a country like ghana firstly you have to pay the government of ghana a percentage of what you mine and it is pretty high like 20% or more like a tax then if you want to trade that gold you could carry it all around the world funding projects or you could get gold certificates and then go trade those like fiat currency but backed by gold and you can use those to go around the world funding projects

then there is numismatic value versus spot value also called intrinsic value spot value is the value of the actual gold while numismatic value would be the value of a rare gold doubloon found in a shipwreck because it is more rare and shows you something from a time in history and may have been made by someone who did something of historical interest or maybe even the coin was just printed wrong and is rare because it is the only one that was printed that way but in the event of some kind of global nuclear crisis in which historical value became less important than practical value then the tables would turn and all numismatic value would go out the window and everything would be sold at spot price or whatever your local community decided the price was if there was no state or media structures left at all

and then if you look at the price of silver silver is only 50 cents and has not been this cheap in a while and has actually been going down this is because when people buy silver today they buy silver coins and recently the most common purpose for buying silver in peoples minds has been because there would be an economic collapse and they would be able to use the silver as a currency in the economic collapse for example people will buy a bunch of old american quarters that are made of silver so they have silver and they recognize that the current american quarter is not made of silver and so would not be worth anything really in the event of an economic collapse while the silver quarter will still have its intrinsic silver value

There are a lot of ways to succeed in the Prospectors reality and searching for gold is maybe the obvious one, but sometimes not the easiest. We suppose you think a lot about what the winning strategy in the game could be and how to avoid loses during the very first days of the prospectors’ world existence. Today we’ll give a few hints, so you’ll be more confident when you make the first step on the gold seekers land.

Unite with other players
Every process in the game takes time. You have to make multiple steps to reach any goal. For example, you need to build a few buildings to make a high-quality tool or vehicle. So it’s much easier if you have someone you can count in the game. It doesn’t matter, whether you come in Prospectors with your friends or form a team with your neighbors on a map, whether you work together as a union or cooperate in some cases — any task will be done much faster together.

For example, you are planning to construct a building on your plot. You need to gather all the necessary resources, materials, and tools. Some of these are made from wood other from stone or clay. If you have your teammates near, they can help you to get everything much faster. Some of them could give you workers or sell you wood at a reasonable price; others bring clay bricks, or whatever you need. Or another case; you need to finish some urgent job, you can ask your colleagues to send workers to you. So everything happens much faster and with a way better result.

Another point is that moving workers or transporting cargo takes time. So it’s critical to have an opportunity to buy or sell what you need in your neighborhood. It’s great for time-saving and you don’t have to go through all the map to get what you need.

Build your strategy, stick to your course
We want to reiterate, every process in the game takes time. Therefore it’s better to form your strategy at the start. Try to think about what do you want to do in Prospectors, what will citizens need the most. Analyze, what resources you have and how you can use them. Whether you decide to extract clay and produce bricks, transport cargoes for other players or cut wood, go to your goal step by step. Stick to your course and don’t waste time on needless moves.

Any game asset will give an advantage at the start
Any game asset will be a great advantage at the beginning. It takes a few days to produce the first tools. Gold Pan is an even more rare tool — to get that, you should build a tool workshop first. Without a gold pan, you cannot see if there is gold on the plot. So at least a Starter Set or Researcher’s Set will give a good boost at the start. With these assets, you’ll be able to do different kinds of work and discover gold deposits earlier than others. If you get any other assets during the auction, be sure that they’ll help you have a powerful start.

Try to rent the best plot you can find
The amount of land plots on the map is limited. So try to rent the best plot of land you can find. Pay attention that the number of each resource can vary on different plots. And please, do not forget that you will be able to build on the plot with above ground resources (wood and stone) only after you extracted them. If you are lucky enough and there are several resources on your parcel, you have the opportunity to choose between different types of activities, and even if the stock of one of the raw material is exhausted, you can change your strategy and work with another one.

Also, it is essential to rent a plot near your friends or get to know neighbors and build good relationships with them. Cargo transportation takes a lot of time, so it’s better to be near your colleagues.

Be the first, be the best
As was mentioned before, those inhabitants who manage to build the necessary buildings first and establish production will be seriously ahead of their competitors. They will be able to rent good land, to sell the items they create, while the demand for tools, materials and other products will be crazy at the beginning. So don’t waste time, try to keep your workers busy. And feel free to hire additional workers to keep your pace.

Hooray, the long-awaited Prospectors assets auction is finally here!

Today, we start the auction where you will have a unique chance to receive an edge over other players at the start. During the auction, you’ll be able to buy sets such as simple tools, a gold pan for exploring gold deposits and even sets of materials and tools needed for constructing entire buildings. These assets will enable a player to make great progress during the first days.

As the auction opens, choose what you need and start placing your bids.

How to participate in the Prospectors asset auction

In order to bid on a chosen asset, you need to have an EOS account and some PGL there. Prospectors Gold (PGL) will be needed to purchase any of the Prospectors assets in the auction. If you have no PGL on your account, you can get it on Newdex.

As soon as you are ready, visit the auction page to view all current auction items available to bid on.

Make a bid for the chosen items. On the item’s tab, you see, who makes the last bid in the ‘Who leads’ line.

Under the item window, you see all available items. Those items where your bids are the last one will be with “My” label on it.

The auction time will be extended for 3 minutes whenever a new bid is submitted during the last 3 min of the auction. So here you can also see all the lots which are still active after the previous auction stage.

Once you claim your items, they will appear on your Simple Market page.

You are able to look over all the items you’ve bought in “My Items” page.

The auction is divided into stages. Each auction stage will last 7 hours, so it’s easy to take part in it around the world. There will be 90 auction stages overall. Items for every stage are chosen randomly. Overall, the auction of the assets will last for one month.

All auction items are Simple Digital assets so you can sell it or give to anyone. You’ll be able to use all auction items you’ve bought only after the game release (a provisional date — 29 June 2019)

Four Different Sets for Different Purposes

There are four different sets, each with unique benefits. Here are descriptions of the types of sets available to bid on during the auction of the assets:

Beginner’s Set — this is a set of different tools, one of each type. The beginner’s set will include one: Spade, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hammer, Sledgehammer, and Saw. With these tools, your workers will be able to fulfill any task in the Prospectors world. One Beginner’s Set will be sold during each stage of the auction. However, notice there is no Gold pan in this set, for that you will need the researcher’s set.

Researcher’s Set — These are the tools needed for exploring gold deposits. This set consists of three Gold pans and three Pickaxes. With the Researcher’s Set, you’ll be able to explore 3 plots. One Researcher’s Set will be sold during each stage of the auction.

Building Set — This set will include all of the materials and tools needed to complete an entire building. You will be able to bid on the following buildings during the auction of the assets: Iron Furnace, Stone Workshop, Sawmill, Brickyard, Tool Workshop, and a Cart Factory There will be three sets of each building available to bid on.

Speculator’s Set — each set will contain 50 identical tools. A great opportunity to make a profitable business at the beginning. You’ll be able to buy sets consisting of 50 spades, 50 pickaxes, 50 axes, 50 shovels, 50 hammers, 50 sledgehammers, and 50 saws. There are 5 of each type of speculator’s sets.

Prospectors. April Summary

The start of Prospectors beta testing on the EOS-testnet is quickly approaching. We are working hard to finish all the updates on time. Today we going to tell you about the main features which our team has implemented in April.

A Tools Lifetime

As gold seekers vigorously work with their tools, the wear and tear will decrease the lifespan until the tool becomes unusable. Every tool in the Prospectors world has a defined lifetime. The most durable tools are those which are produced in specialized Tool workshops. Tools which are distributed through any promotions can have different lifespan according to the terms specified in the promo.

If a player buys a tool that’s been ‘used’ by another player, that tool will have a decreased lifespan. Always be sure to check the duration left on a tool before purchasing. You can check this characteristic on the tool page when you decide to buy any.

Purchase Order Creation

A player has always had the ability to sell any goods which were stored on their lot. After a selling order was created, those goods appeared at the market. Unfortunately, there had not been a way for players who didn’t own a lot to sell anything. They were able to use all extracted resources just for their own needs.

We are excited to announce that our developers have finished the feature which will fix this issue.

Now a plot renter can also create a buying order so he can buy goods he needs right on his land parcel. This gives a player the option to save time by not having to pick up purchased goods or save money by not having to pay for them to be delivered. Any player who has any goods to sell, can walk through the map and look for anyone who needs them.

Plot view update

Any player can go to any plot on the map, even if it belongs to someone else. We updated the location view for a player who isn’t a lessee of the plot but who is visiting there. For example, after a click on the ad table, he can look over all active jobs on the location and find a job for his worker. If the lot owner is looking to buy or sell any goods, a visitor can see the offers and decide to do business.

Our designers have been working hard on these improvements and we are happy with the results.

Top list of players

Prospectors developers will compile a list of the top players, who earn or extract the biggest amount of gold. The main goal of this task is to highlight the most prosperous gold seekers in the world. In the future, we are going to reward the most active users so that all citizens will have an additional incentive to evolve.

We have great news to announce! Everyone can participate in the Prospectors test, so ask your friends to join you!

Even if you don’t have an EOS account and know nothing about blockchain, you can participate in the Prospectors testing.

This testing is held on the EOS testnet. So a Jungle account is all that you need to take part in it.
If you don’t have a Jungle account, no worries! We will help you to create one right on the Prospectors website!
Also, please pay attention not to use an EOS mainnet account during registration.

Now about the differences between the testing version and the real game.

Any digital assets you’ve bought during the Assets Auction cannot be used during the testing phase.
Keep them until the game launch.

We want to emphasize that all your achievements throughout the testing won’t be saved after the game launch.
However, you will gain valuable experience in practicing the skills you will need in the Prospectors world.

During the testing, the game will be accelerated to see a bigger perspective:


- the time needed for building will be reduced by 10 times;
- speed of workers movement will be increased by 5 times;
- amount of materials needed for a building construction be reduced by 10 times.

Unlike the real game, each participant will receive some starting capital to use during the testing.
We are going to deposit a small amount of PGL into the Jungle account of every testing participant.
After the Prospectors launch in the mainnet, a gamer won’t get any PGL for free, but he will be able to transfer PGL into the game from his account if he wants to.
Remember you always can purchase PGL in the decentralized EOS exchanges like Newdex.

Assets Auction in figures




After a month of 24/7 bidding for the valuable Prospectors assets, the fight came to an end. During the auction, players bought 35 Speculator’s Sets, 18 Building Sets, 90 Beginner’s Sets, and 90 Researcher’s Set. Now we can take a moment and look over the figures.

During the auction, Prospectors sold assets of almost $55 000 (214.819 PGL). The Tool workshop sold for the highest price at 7000 PGL (approximately $1890‬).
This was the most expensive building sold during the auction.
The cheapest Building Set price was paid for a Sawmill at 1350 PGL.





Of the Speculators sets, which consisted of 50 tools, the sledgehammers sold at the highest price of 4550 PGL.


The spades sold for the lowest price of only 1400 PGL.

The cheapest item, one of the Researcher’s Sets, was sold for 185 PGL.

The fiercest auction fight consisted of 142 bets for a Stone Workshop, which in the end went under the hammer for 2865 PGL.

The easiest buys were one Beginners Set and one Researchers Sets, which after just one bid each were won for 345 and 300 PGL.

As previously promised, all PGL spent in the Prospectors auction will be burned till the game launch in mainnet.
Which in turn makes all PGL more valuable.

All of the assets purchased in the auction can be used when the game launches on the EOS main net.
In the meantime, the testing in the Jungle will continue.
Everyone is encouraged to try the game on their own to practice strategies and learn how to best utilize the auction assets.
