It is more and more likely that Liverpool will not pursue the transfer of Thiago. It's really a shame because he's a perfect player and Klopp rates him too, but due to the coronavirus crisis Liverpool have said they will not spend a lot during this sumer, and although Thiago is the ultimate player to push their midfield to a new level, they are packed with players there and another one would mean somebody would have to be sold.

I would not mind that because Thiago is individually better than any one of our current ones and also fits our style of play, and we would not be selling Henderson or Fabinho. If Gini signs his extension, he's safe as well and if we could sell Keita or Chamberlain and replace them with Thiago, it would be a major improvement.

However, Chamberlain is really loved among his teammates and Keita has started to show potential, so the question remains if Thiago at this point really is something that Liverpool should be fighting for.

In my opinion definitely, but I'd rather have a backup left back and another option up front.

Nah, don't really think so. You don't go to a top club after having a goalless season in Qatar.
I think he'd even be a bad transfer for clubs in the Croatian league in his current state if he would want a big contract.

His ego is huge, he's disruptive to the atmosphere and he wasn't a top player even in his prime.

I'd like him to return to Croatian league, but in a normal role - in which his overblown salary would not halt a club's overall progress.

I heard some rumors that Mandjukic could still return to Italy, of course not in Juve but in Verona.
Reportedly, the Croatian coach of Verona, Ivan Juric, really appreciates him and wants to bring him as a reinforcement for next season when Verona could play in Europe as well.
If that happens it will be interesting to watch the matches between Juve and Verona given that Mandjukic will certainly be highly motivated against the former club.

Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka were delivering pretty strong performances during the last weeks. In addition to that FC Bayern also has Michaël Cuisance and they just signed Tanguy Nianzou from Paris-Saint-Germain, who can also play the central position. 

Kimmich has been playing in midfield for sometime now, but we know his favorite position is at right back, versatile players who can perform in more than one wing is what managers love, pep did it when he was at Bayern, IIRC he played Philip Lahm in the defensive midfield role, just as Flick is doing now with Joshua Kimmich; but with time or prolly if there's a change of manager in the team, the player usually returns back to his normal wing. That being said Kimmich may prolly start next season at right back and imo Nianzou is not just good enough.

Well, that makes sense, yes. He knows him well and has a good idea of what he would be getting.

Regarding the Havertz transfer - that one is by far the most interesting one for me. Yes, he can play the false 9 (deep striker) role, but from what we've seen so far, he's at his best in a no. 10 role.
The problem? Not so many teams play with no. 10 anymore and Havertz will be sold for huge money. Yes, he's good enough to play anywhere in midfield or attack but he might just be that case where a player is at his best in a position most teams don't play with, his quality there demands a high price tag and clubs are reluctant to pay that price to gamble with him in a different position.

I think whoever gets him will get a player who can play wing, 10, false 9 and offensive midfield, but it will be an exciting transfer to follow. In this situation, ~100 million is a huge gamble. No matter the quality.

Asian =/= Chinese! Hwang is from South Korea, not China.

But otherwise you're right. There aren't really that many Chinese players in the European top leagues. In fact, I only know Wu Lei (Link) from Espanyol by heart without any further research. Other Asian players are more common, mostly Japanese or South Korean players.

@Darkoth89 I’ll be honest as I’m also not aware of any Asian player who is playing for any big team, and further I’m not sure if these countries lack talented player’s, or the scouts from the top clubs ignore these countries on purpose. Lastly I’m really surprised that Paul Pogba has decided to sign a new deal (as per the media reports), and if Manchester United do end up retaining him, then ManUtd will have a very strong midfield for the new season don’t you’ll think so?.

What about Heung Min Son? Well, it depends on whether you consider Tottenham a big team or not  There's also an extremely talented kid in Valencia called Kang In Lee. And next year, the japanese gem Kubo will be part of the Real Madrid, unless he gets loaned out again.

The German Bild is reporting that Ivan Perišić won't stay in Munich and will return to Mailand after the season. He had 31 appearances for FC Bayern this season and scored six goals.

A really interesting one, especially because United lacks quality on the wings. But Dembele's coming back after injury (his 5th hamstring injury since he joined Barcelona) and it is doubtful if his head is even in football anymore. He's constantly late for training because he's playing Fifa and really does not sound like a player you want to spend 60-70+ million euros.

He's great when he wants to play, but that has not been often enough. United might be willing to try this since they are a wealthy club, but it will be a gamble.

From the news I read before,  Bayern was interesting in Perisic but his salary was to high for them and they didn’t want to pay  it.
New coach in Inter don't want him so it was obvious already a few months ago that Perisic will have to find new club.
Tottenham?  Interesting info.
In the past a few Croatian players played in Tottenham  (Modric,  Kranjcar ) so it seems they like Croatian players and had good experience with them
