Kepa’s next move will be down, not up. He needs to establish himself at a club that have less expectations. He’s clearly a talented young man but a mixture of nerves & expectation of him at Chelsea has led to less than inspiring performances. I think it’d be good for him to move to a less high profile club.
Not sure if it's only his nerves and the high expectations everyone had in him. I am not following Chelsea that closely but to me he gives the impression of being too convinced of himself, almost a bit arrogant. Or how else can one explain that despite all his (bad) performances he openly stood up against the coach and did not want to be substituted? As you said, the best thing for him would be to find a small club and get back on track. I am just not sure if he also realises that a step back could bring him more forward in the long run than staying at Chelsea. And I also don't know if there are clubs that would pay huge money for him at the moment. Nobody would pay top money for him in this covid stricken market. Even if the club finances are normal he would be a risk. I think best solution for all parties in this case is one year long loan deal where some club takes over Kepa wages (or at least big part of them). That way if he resurrects the career, Chelsea can hope to get some money back next year or even return him as a first team keeper.

The problem is finding a club in Premier League willing to take him. Most of them don't need to transfer in goalkeepers at this time, the ones that do saw Kepa's performance; they don't want his kind of performance in their team. He might need to be loaned to a club in EFL championship where they have less money for buying players and a cheap (by Premier League standards) loan can be made to them. I do agree that something has to be done about Kepa quickly, Chelsea has a match against West Brom tomorrow and if they want to improve their standing they need to win this match.

Transfer market- The latest news and rumours: Barcelona and Juventus could look to do another player swap, this time involving Ousmane Dembele and Douglas Costa, say Tuttosport. How many agreements did Juve and Barcelona have this season? Manchester United have offered Borussia Dortmund 90 million euros for Jadon Sancho, according to The Daily Mirror. Another expensive transfer season for a club that buys a lot but has no results Cagliari have completed the signing of Diego Godin from Inter on a free, with the Uruguayan centre-back penning a three-year deal worth 2.5 million euros per season. Very good deal for them. Edinson Cavani is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid, according to TuttoMercato. Atletico is preparing an atomic attack for the new season. Dude, Suarez, Diego Costa & Cavani would be the oldest front 3 in the top European Leagues? It would be the best front 3 if we were in 2015 Atletico must be a retirement home, great players but definitely not at their peaks any more.

Don't know where to put this, not really football related but still something that should not go unnoticed. Please welcome the new fitness coach of Borussia Dortmund! photo taken from nerdninja.com

Sergio Dest will make a transfer from Ajax to Barcelona for 20 million. Too bad for Ajax they couldn't keep him in the team.
I think that Dest is a good player but I think he would be a too light player for Barcelona. On the other hand they don't have that much money to buy the best players so then Dest is a good alternative.

I don’t know what went wrong for Kepa but what I do know is that Lampard is trying to help him, and accordingly he’s requested Cech to come to the training ground and try and help Kepa rediscover his lost form. Further should Kepa continue to fail then Mendy will be automatically selected over Kepa, however I yet feel that Kepa will be able retain his spot in the playing 11. Transfer market- The latest news and rumour Sergino Dest's move from Ajax to Barcelona could be confirmed in the coming hours, RAC1 report. How much can an American help Barcelona? Lyon have held talks with Barcelona over possibly signing Samuel Umtiti on a loan deal with an option to buy, say L'Equipe. It seems to be quite crowded in Barcelona, as in the market An agreement has been reached between Manchester City, Benfica and Ruben Dias for the Portuguese centre-back to join the Premier League club, according to Fabrizio Romano. The bid that Benfica have accepted for Dias is 55 million euros plus Nicolas Otamendi. Good job for everyone. I thought I read somewhere they Barcelona got some kind of penalty that they can't buy that much this transfer window. Or was it because they don't have that much money anymore. If that is the case, I am wondering why and how they buy so much players.

I haven’t seen much of Mendy play but he can’t be any worse than Kepa. How that dude is the most expensive GK in the world is one of life's greatest mysteries Similar to how Man U got Harry Maguire, both came with inflated prices and offered little in return. One of the worst signings for both clubs [in terms of business].
Exactly, his downfall is mainly due to his attitude/big ego. Edinson Cavani is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid, according to TuttoMercato. Atletico is preparing an atomic attack for the new season. It'll be a great short term solution for them. Name is Alica Schmidt, her job probably to make Sancho want to stay a bit longer And probably make others join them as well haha
Houssem Aouar's situation is killing me. I strongly believe he'll end up at Arsenal on deadline day.

It is absolutely a good deal for City. Otamendi has nothing more to offer to City he is old and he has reached his peak of performance. Ruben Dias is something new and City made the right choice in investing on him. We need and he needs time to see what he can do in Premier league - we all know that... But as a deal, it is totally worth it.

But as a deal, it is totally worth it. Since they're signing on Dias for a whooping £65 million and he was in Portugal's 2018 world cup, City is making the right decision to take him. They lost 5-2 to Leicester because they got in too many penalties. Especially with Gabriel Jesus out of the next few matches due to knee injury, and he made a lot of goal attempts for City, they're not going to score as many goals per match as they used to so it's imperarive they keep their own defenders straight so they don't get unnecessary goals against them. If they also manage to get Koulibaly (highly unlikely), their defense woes will be solved.

If that is the case, I am wondering why and how they buy so much players. It is a public secret that Barcelona has serious financial problems and that this is why for every player purchased, a player must be sold. Another reason why some players are leaving is their big salaries that Barcelona can no longer pay, and the best example of that is for Suarez who went almost free.

I haven't seen him playing as well. But either way if you look at it , they brought in a young defender and sent out old and bit out of form defender the other way to Benfica. Guardiola is a fan of choosing young players and develop them so maybe it goes by his plan.

Maybe because Ruben Dias played for Benfica so rarely people saw his game, but in my opinion Guardiola's decision to bring Ruben Dias is the right decision to replace Otamendi who is over 30 years old. I agree that Guardiola is a coach who likes young players, so bringing Ruben Dias is his plan to improve Manchester City's defense.

I haven't seen much, but from what I have seen he's more of a physical defender then a technical one. If you look at Koulibaly - it is the same so City probably decided they need a bit more muscle and at least one option in defence which prefers to play it safe. Seemed really aggresive, but also a bit clumsy - his movements are more choppy than agile. He's right-footed but his left foot is good as well, although his long passing is all over the place even with his right. Benfica was comfortable defensively in the games that I did see so his defensive game looked good enough. But in City's team - if you're not really good on the ball, you will constantly be put under pressure. We'll see, but he doesn't look like a game changing addition if you ask me. At least not currently.
