Messi is now in Paris, ending all speculation. Messi is signing a two-year contract with this French club. His salary is 35m euros per year. We've seen the Barcelona president's drama in the last few days. They were not interested in keeping Messi in the team. So they didn't sell Griezmann, and added two new strikers, Aguero and Depay. If they wanted to keep Messi in the team, Barca management would have increased the strength of the defense without increasing the strength of their forwards.
PSG got another legend in their squad. Looking forward to seeing what the trio of Neymar Mbappe and Messi will look like. PSG will undoubtedly win the Ligue 1 title. However, their main target is to win the Champions League title. Messi wants another Champions League title. Hopefully PSG will be able to bring home the title with the help of this squad. Indeed, it is a big ambition for PSG to win the Champions League title so that talented players are also brought in from various big clubs, so it is a pity if the Champions League fails this season because I see players are already so full of talent and strong in defense, middle and front. With Lionel Messi's new contract, of course this will bring more enthusiasm for PSG and their fans because they can't wait to see how their match will start with this star player, I think Messi will be the top scorer again.

In French "ici c'est Paris" = "Here is Paris" which means I am in PSG boyz! Now waiting to see the pic of Ramos and Messi shaking hands! Eh, it's a pity that it did happen. In terms of making money and "early retirement", this is a great option for Messi, but in terms of a new challenge for himself, it's just zero. I would like to see Messi in Serie A or the English Premier League - it would be difficult for him there even in a top club because of the tougher and more competitive championship.

Messi's long-awaited transfer. What strikes me most is that he was out so quickly. Would he go to PSG purely for the money? You also have Mbappe and Neymar playing in the striker, so he doesn't have the wealth for himself. Family also to France. where are you going, Leo.

Why do you think it was so fast? As far as I know, Messi has been negotiating with them since last year and with interruptions these talks have been going on for more than a year. Also, where else could Messi have gone? Only to Manchester City but they have already spent too much money this summer on new players. After all, I think it will also be an honour for Messi and a special pleasure to play with Neymar and Mbappe, don't you think so? It will be very interesting to see if PSG will finally win the Champions League with these three superstars

Abraham had some really nice performances early last season but kinda faded as the season progressed. He's English so carries a few more million on his price tag by default, he could be a decent signing for Mourinho.
Serie A will probably suit him more than the Premier League and he's a player that will always be easy enough to sell back to England (due to their English players quotes) if it doesn't work out for Roma.
Good deal for Chelsea as well, really decent amount of money for a player that would spend the majority of the season on the bench.
Honestly I was shocked to learn Abraham is even on the market, he is way too good of a player to give up at this stage for Chelsea. Maybe he may not find himself in the starting eleven all the time, but he is still a good contribution to the team whenever someone gets injured, you can even place in at any place aside from defense, dude is that good and overall. I guess Roma just wants to build a great team, the logic of getting Mourinho makes more sense now, having last years' Roma with Mourinho made no sense, but with addition of some new players that could actually become something very good for them. I heard that they are after Icardi as well just now, and that means that with Abraham and Icardi they could actually be a very valid team, but I have zero idea where they are getting that much money from, never knew they had the coffers filled.

I don't really rate him that high at all. I think he's a decent player that can still improve but I don't consider him good enough to lead the line at a top club and I do not think he will ever be. Chelsea is still trying to bring Kounde (or another centre back) so they need the money, their offensive line is full of talent and selling a player like Abraham who wouldn't really get enough minutes on the pitch is probably a right choice. Keeping him without giving him minutes would be detrimental to both his development and resell value.

hallelujah - and its done and officially!!! L. Messi wears the psg jersey from now on and for the next 3 years Now it is a done deal: Lionel Messi is joining Paris Saint-Germain after his tearful departure from FC Barcelona. The 34-year-old signed a contract with the French top club until 2024. Just under a month after the signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Argentine replaces the latter as the world’s most valuable free transfer. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/official-messi-joins-psg-most-valuable-front-three-with-neymar-and-mbappe/view/news/390781

I knew it from onset that Neymar will never drop his number 10 shirt for Messi, lots of people were saying different rumours about Neymar dropping the shirt in respect for Messi, Messi is now putting on number 30 Jersey, I hope both him and Neymar will be able to build a good relationship, because any bad vibes from both of them will definitely cost Psg alot

~snip~ Right now I am waiting for pic or video of Ramos and Messi shaking hands more than Messi arriving at Paris. Enmity is only in the field, if it's 1 club then it will be different. This is crazy, how much money will PSG spend on studying players if Messi is present? It looks like it's huge. Look at the site https://www.transfermarkt.com/fc-paris-saint-germain/kader/verein/583 PSG's current value reaches €917.75m, not to mention the messi present. Looks like PSG owner's money doesn't seem to run out. It's quite interesting to see, will PSG be able to compete in the League and UCL next season? With the current squad, of course, their target is to win in the League and UCL.

I'm reading the apology Paris is using for buying Messi. I can't confirm this but also in France there should be the 70% revenue/salary ratio rule as in Spain.
PSG is at 99%. The excuse they are using is that of "we have no problems with financial fair play as we plan to return to expenses in the long term thanks to the purchase of Messi and the enlargement of the brand"
But I say: are we kidding? but what does it mean? that only they can violate the financial fair play and say it publicly and others can do nothing?
In addition to this, I heard that an organization I don't know which one said "you can do what you want until the 2023 World Cup otherwise we risk making a mess for the World Cup in Qatar"

yes and now PSG is full of talented players because for the current season they have brought in Wijnaldum, Donaruma, Ramos and now Messi and this is like an avenger because all the players at PSG now are players who already have names that are considered and can be said to have skills above average. but on the other hand now the french 1st league will seem like only PSG's and it will be difficult for the other teams to be able to stand out and even if the french 1st league matches have opened I doubt for the other french teams to be able to balance the domination of PSG now. indeed when on the field what is needed is the cohesiveness of 11 players and the ball is indeed round, everything can happen in the field. but to speak statistics seems to be very difficult .

There isnt that many clubs out there that could offer him as much as PSG and besides that he gets to play with Neymar again so its a pretty good deal. By the way, this is not good, since now Messi will be completely in the shadow of the younger Neymar, he clearly does not have the charisma of Ibrahimovic to dominate even being aged. but in terms of a new challenge for himself, it's just zero. Because he spent his entire career in the same top club with the best partners in the world and the question of what he is capable of without them and in a tougher league has always been relevant.

https://twitter.com/PSG_inside/status/1425189199213473798?s=20It is official and Messi is going to play at PSG from now on. And he is going to have the number 30. He already wore his new jersey in the stadium. I had a really different feeling when I saw him wearing a jersey which belongs to another team. As now it is official, I can't wait to watch him as soon as possible to be honest I think the messi will be playing in a league where he won't have to make a lot of effort because he doesn't have many strong teams. if Messi was in the premier league he would surely have found a place where every game would have to work very hard. maybe because of his age, being in frank can be a good option, there he won't have much effort to win the games, although I don't like to watch the French league, I'll watch PSG games whenever I can... one thing funny: and now: we never really know what fate has in store for us

The reality is that FFP is a joke and it applies only to teams not in the UEFA good books, Real Madrid and Barcelona and Manchester city has gotten away with ridiculous purchases without income record to back it up. FFP is sham PSG has a very bloated wage structure already, either transfer fees are paid or not. Messi will ofcourse generate money for the league and club, would it balance the books or will FFP ignore and issue a waiver ? Time will tel

It looks like PSG have ended their interest in Manchester Utd midfielder Paul Pogba (28). After signing Messi, they have used their financial power fully. There are even some rumours like they violated the financial rules while signing Messi. So, it seems like just a dream for PSG to go for more transfers.

I'm reading the apology Paris is using for buying Messi. I can't confirm this but also in France there should be the 70% revenue/salary ratio rule as in Spain.
No!!! the salary limit cap of 70% was set by the Lalig FA it's not part of the FFP rules and it's not implemented in any other top European league, it is a plot by the La Liga FA to grow and focus on homegrown players rather than spending so much on players, they wanted to balance the league between the bigger clubs and the small clubs. PSG is at 99%. The excuse they are using is the "we have no problems with financial fair play as we plan to return to expenses in the long term thanks to the purchase of Messi and the enlargement of the brand" They might have lost the domestic league last year but the inflow from the last two seasons put them at a better chance and besides Messi, Ramos and Donnnama cost PSG £0 . But I say: are we kidding? but what does it mean? that only they can violate the financial fair play and say it publicly and others can do nothing? FFP was relaxed due to covid19... No Rules!!!!

It looks like PSG have ended their interest in Manchester Utd midfielder Paul Pogba (28). After signing Messi, they have used their financial power fully. There are even some rumours like they violated the financial rules while signing Messi. So, it seems like just a dream for PSG to go for more transfers.
There is not a rumor that is a reality. An organization said to them this" you can violate the FPP however you want because we can't stop you or we risk the world cup of 2022 in Qatar". Organized by Surprise Surprise, the same owner of PSG. Also, Ceferin sold the TV copyright to Surprise Surprise to the owner of PSG who offered a lower price for them than the competition. It is a big MAFIA party. I'm reading the apology Paris is using for buying Messi. I can't confirm this but also in France there should be the 70% revenue/salary ratio rule as in Spain.

I'm not talking about the 70% for Financial Fair play but the 70% of Ligue 1, is a different thing. In Ligue 1 as in Spain you must have this 70%. FFP has been not relaxed due covid 19, they changed it but you still need to have a median of -30m € in the years 2020 2021 2022. If I can remember correctlu PSG had -200 in 2020, -165 in 2021 to be ok they need to be at +240ish in 2022.

FFP is suppose to stop the big teams from buying players that tips the balance of the league in their favor but they are the ones that get away with look at Real Mardrid and now PSG as example and the smaller teams are still held to FFP and cannot afford the lawyers that big clubs can afford. I think Manchester City not long ago hired lawyers and got away with their suspension and only paid a fine.
If it is allowed to happen that a rich team like PSG buys players and violates FFP, I believe in the future football only belongs to the rich team. If it's like this, the world of football is no longer healthy, especially if it turns out that PSG can win the Champions League, this looks like buying a trophy. It's very difficult when it comes to money, anything can be bought, and it makes perfect sense in the end that a rich team could hire great lawyers to escape prosecution.

I can not confirm if your stay is accurate but PSG only made some losses last season, the revenue for 2019, 2020 is great! I cant say FFP is not corrupt or they are but one thing I noticed is the Arab-owned clubs always have their way around the FFP rules. To make it simple there was nothing left for Messi at Barcelona with his new salary they were at 115%, without his salary they are currently at 95% which means they need to drop below 70% before the season kicks off.
