I don't know about the future but clearly Arteta is a major asset to the club and will not be open to a move away to Barcelona. I don't see this transfer speculation being realistic anytime soon, Arteta is enjoying his time at the Emirates and will continue to see manage the team for further years. The team is doing well at the moment and obviously the  project is going well so abandoning the project now wouldn't be a good idea. Barcelona will have to sort for a manager else where.

The story is too vague for me to believe it. If I remember with his own wife, they had disagreements over much smaller sums. If this is true and he formally refuses this money, then I am sure that in any case there are some hidden informal agreements between Barcelona and Piqué. Maybe they guarantee him some high position in the future.

Surprised to hear the news that Gerard Pique announced that he would soon retire at the age of 35 to coincide with the last 1 match against Almeria which was his last match. many of his relatives and friends were surprised to hear this because at the age of 35, usually football players will spend their careers in relatively easy leagues such as MLS. but I saw some tweets from the legends of barcelona who judged that barcelona did not really appreciate his services this season because in addition to not getting more playing minutes, pique also had to receive a 2x salary cut from the crisis experienced by barcelona this season.
