It would never be a bad job if a coach decides to manage Barcelona, but if Xabi Alonso has the choice between several clubs and there would be Liverpool or at some point in the future Real Madrid, I think Barcelona would be less attractive. Why would the club hire a new coach that will not have anything better than the previous one to improve the quality of the team. Xavi has done well and his performance as the head coach over the years cannot be underestimated. If these new coaches that their name have being mentioned cannot do better than him, I don’t think they’ll bring their names up as replacements for Xavi. I am not an anti-Barcelona fan, but my concern is that I will love to see a very competitive football from them in the La Liga after they hire a new coach and not to begin to see the downfall of the team. Barcelona will be destabilized for some period due to the changing of the coach and a new one to replace them from next season but I don’t see that to be much of a problem to them to begin underperforming in the league. They are big name team in the La Liga, so I expect them to be able to adjust to the change.

Xavi Alonso is having a great season. He could revolutionize the Bundesliga by making Bayer Leverkusen champions this season. Undoubtedly, many elite teams will want to sign him at the end of the season. But since Xavi Alonso has played for Liverpool and Real Madrid in the past, it is unlikely that he will work for Barcelona or Chelsea. Maybe if he works for Real Madrid or Liverpool and then one day he is unemployed and teams like Barcelona offer him a transfer, then he could work there.

When a coach is in a good position and leading an elite squad, rival top clubs begin planning massive offers to terminate his contract. Xabi Alonso will not pursue a move to elite teams; instead, he will remain at Bayer Leverkusen, where he has made significant strides forward. The board and supporters are behind him and will support whatever decision he makes because he performs exceedingly well in matches. With today's superb victory over Bayern Munich, I cannot envision any club now hindering Bayer Leverkusen from reaching their primary objective.

Though we have seen the cases of so many good coaches who started very well in small clubs been hijacked by top clubs who offer them huge contracts which they find it difficult to reject because of the history of the club and the name they will end up making in their profile being the coach of the club. The issue of Xabi Alonso leaving his current club Bayer Leverkusen where he has made good name for him self is still a rumour because he's more concerned right now is helping his team to get the league which they are half way to getting as they trashed their rivals Bayern Munich 3:0 in their game today to extend their gap to 5 points.

So many clubs may be interested in getting the young coach in their team but it's his decision to choose to remain in a club where he has made history or to accept the offer of joining another club.

It's surprising to see that a young manager of Xabi Alonso's few years of managerial experience can significantly improve a Bayer Leverkusen team and make them the most formidable German Bundesliga team in such a short period of time that he was able to achieve everything he's achieved but what's even more surprising that his Bayer Leverkusen team is actually convincingly beating a star studded Bayern Munich team like they did tonight.
Bayer Leverkusen's win tonight sees them go unbeaten in 31 games in all competition and that I think makes Xabi Alonso one of the best managers in Europe top five leagues at the moment. What I don't know is if Bayer Leverkusen management can keep him at the club beyond the end of the current season but whatever happens, the Spanish manager is keen on making sure he wins the league title this season for his club and I think he's gonna achieve that feat
