He had some greatly convincing reasons to stay at Real Madrid because they were about to sign Mbappe and I think if you get the chance to be the coach of a team with players like Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Bellingham, all of which are potential best players in the world, I am sure that a coach would like to stay for at least a little bit longer as he did. He also knew that not too many things can go wrong because even if he has a season without a title, I guess Brazil was waiting for him and he knew it. He had something to fall back on.

His legacy as a coach isn't damaged because of season without a title. He has won so many titles in his career that this is only a minor disappointment in his whole history as a coach.
