AC Milan has just informed Crystal Palace that they won't be proceeding with the transfer of Jean Philippe Mateta due to failed medical test. It was discovered during the medical that Mateta has a lingering knee problem and that's what they are holding on as the reason for pulling out of the deal. To me AC Milan was never serious in signing this player. I see this as just an excuse from the Milan camp. I feel bad for Jean Philippe Mateta as he was keen on making this Milan move.

I think Mateta is going to feel different about this move and how it ended unless a miracle happens for another club to come for him, I'm not sure but is like Juventus are considering him as an option...that aside. My worry about Mateta is how on earth is this player going to have a good time with the club like he used to? The fans can choose to boo him for trying to force his way out, for me he should have stayed till the end of the season, that would have been better. Is he going to sit on the bench till the end of the season? I'm not sure and this news about Mateta reminds me of Zaha, when he tried to leave but was forced to stay till the end of the season but I'm this case Mateta I think this will affect his form in the sense that he might not be playing with his mind and is clear that he wants to leave as the other players did (Eze and Guehi).

He is a player with great skills. If Chelsea lets him go, it would be like throwing away a gem. Any team would be willing to accept him and keep an eye on him, even if they are put off by his high price tag. For teams with good finances, a price tag that we consider high is not an obstacle for teams that are willing to pay it.

Maybe there is something you don't know about them, I think they are quite professional at Juventus and are recognized there, Beto if he can train them again to develop better it is not impossible right? as long as Spalletti and or management or how the opportunities for a player's potential they can try it for the future of Juventus, currently we do not recognize what Spalletti or Juventus's talent scouts mean, what is clear is that they have done research that is matched to Juventus' needs today, good or bad later let the results determine.

Ajax has confirmed that they have signed Maarten Paes, the goalkeeper who previously played for FC Dallas. I found this information on Ajax Amsterdam's official social media account. I tried searching Fabrizio Romano's social media account, which is usually quicker in terms of player transfer information, but at that time and until now, there has been no news.

Juventus only want to borrow him, which makes sense because they don't need to make Beto permanent if he fails to make an impact for Juventus, and maybe they do that because Beto has experience in Serie A. But the latest news is that Everton have rejected it, although in terms of statistics Beto is not good, it is still quite useful as a replacement option when the main sticker cannot play, but with the news that has been circulating at this time, it is likely that the transfer will not succeed.

Chelsea really has serious problems in defense. However I'm not sure whether recalling Mamadou Sarr will be the start of solving them though.

I don't think he has been amazing at Strasbourg so far despite playing for 90 minutes in so many games either. He is young of course (20).

Rather than calling him back from his loan, signing a more experienced and reliable CB would make more sense...

While I agree that recalling him would be enough for them to get to a point where they are great, of course it is not enough and they need better players. But also not calling him would not be a smart idea when they need better defenders, this may not be "enough" but this is good and better than what they have right now.

With the injuries and fatigue and defensive problems, this will make them a bit better. Sometimes you have to make a decision not based on "good enough" but on "is this better" and this was one of those. Similar one will happen during the summer where Madrid will get Nico Paz, not because he is going to win them titles by himself, but he looks better than what they have and that is why it's a good decision on both teams.

I think it would be more logical for them to bring their loaned players back to the team and try to get the most out of them. Manchester United, who have started to play successful matches again in the Premier League, wouldn't pay a very high transfer fee for Palmer. Besides, he's not a particularly necessary transfer for the team. Therefore, a transfer that wouldn't cost Chelsea that much money wouldn't happen. Also, Chelsea are very happy with him and wouldn't want to sell him easily. I think Manchester United could focus on other players first.

I still think he is at Saudi levels now, he should go and make some tens of millions of euros there and be happy with his life, there is no reason why he should be playing at elite level after being absent for so long.

Transfer market posted this just few hours before deadline day and It brought back memories. Some of us that has been watching football would definitely not forget these two prolific strikers. Fernando Torres was bought from Atletico Madrid and he was good at the Premier League that the them Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich took note of him and decided to bring him to Stanford Bridge against all odds although, his spell at Chelsea was never what they anticipated as he struggled in front of goal. Liverpool on the other hand, replaced Torres with Luis Suarez, the Uruguay striker was another deadly beast in front of goal and they bought him from Ajax and he quickly adapted to life in the Premier League and Liverpool fans will quickly forget about the departure of Torres.

It’s a good move for Ademola lookman, he’s wanted this move away from Atalanta last summer transfer window and almost got a move to PSG but Atalanta blocked the move. He felt a bit sad about that and since then his performances in Atalanta have really slowed a little bit especially after he have that Altercation with Atalanta former manager during when he was substituted early in a particular match . I know things weren’t the same with him and the club anymore and the best thing to do at that moment is to leave the club. Now moving to Atletico Madrid wasn’t the preferred choice earlier, but due to some circumstances he just have to go to a new club and find joy again. Atletico Madrid is a great club with good ambition, the only problem I think he will have is the fact that Atletico Madrid plays more defensively, he’s used to attacking more but on the other side he will be utilized more in the counter attack because Atletico loves to stay back and hit on the counter attack so he will be very much utilized in that area.

Wait seriously, were Manchester United even considering purchasing Palmer? Or is it another Palmer you guys are talking about but if it's Cole Palmer of Chelsea, then I never knew Manchester United were interested in him any day or maybe I have not been current enough not to know that Manchester United are on his radar. But if they are no longer interested, then it's a great news. The transfer fee alone is enough for Manchester United to get a better alternative with less money to spend than Palmer. Manchester United hasn't profited enough when they deal with Chelsea, most of the players they get from Chelsea doesn't always turn out to be a good buy for them. The last time I could remember Manchester United got something at least better after buying a player from Chelsea was the Spanish guy Mata. He wasn't even that good but he was better than the rest players I know of. Maybe there are others of recent I don't know about.

We have been seeing shocking moves on Dead Line Day but non have we seen for the Gunners, they seem like a team that doesn't need any addition to the team but with the recent injury of Mikel Merino looks like they might need a replacement. Arteta doesn't look like he's under pressure (when asked) to cover up that Mikel Merino position, like getting anyone on the last day of this season January transfer. To me I feel the Gunners have everything covered only that they need to make every game count and hope he (Mikel Merino) recovers quickly. Does the Gunners needed to include any new face to the team or they're good to go?

I feel they should have. There have been some level of inconsistency in the Arsenal's midfield for sometime now, where players just go out of form for some certain number of games. It is currently affecting the Arsenal's captain (Odegaard). And not just the midfield, but the attack and some part of the defensive in some few occasions. But we've seen how merino has been able to step up on different occasions to add a little quality and give them a few wins. Failing to replace him can only give more playing time to other players, but there's going to be problems if those players fail to turn up.

From the look of things, I doubt if merino would make a return again this season. This is February already, and we have about 4 months to go. A broken born on the leg is likely to take about 3 months, and if you know Arteta too well, he doesn't rush players back into action. They can only hope that a good number of players remains fit till the end of the season. Or maybe, recall some players that has a recall clause on their contract.

The return of few of the club players that's been sidelined for long I think is the reason Mikel Arteta and his men aren't seeing any reason to sign more players in the ongoing transfer window. Looking at the current Arsenal squad, I don't think there's any need to sign Mikel Merino's replacement now that Kai Havertz is back to fitness. The German can easily play Merino's role so I think Arsenal are good to go.

Bro you are correct, that drop of form is another thing to consider but the way Arteta feels confident about the players only point in one direction that they are capable of going into the remaining parrt of the season without a newly introduced face. Odegaard case is what I have noticed that he hasn't been that attacking kind of player ever since he returned from injury, these days he prefers to turn like a car with the ball before deciding what to do by then a good runs by his teammates has been cancelled, which is bad. I just hope that Mikel Merino won't start performing like he's new to the game.
If he can't come back before the season comes to an end then his replacement can be spotted among the players on the bench and I know they can do well. This is the only season I have seen Arsenal never for ones complaining for injury this and that, they have the squad depth that can make them feel stronger than they have ever been so even if more 2 players are out due to injury I believe it won't affect them.

Kareem Benzema to Al Hilal

Here officially Fabrizio Romano post on X that the former Ballon d'Or winner Kareem Benzema has officially switch off from Al Ittihad and move to Al Hilal. All deal has been done as free agent like Kareem Benzema has already express his opinion that he will Left the team at the end of the season and now he did..... He is such fantastic player and his attacking competency is out standings. Now he spends few years at Saudi Arabia side and honestly his performance level is still quite good....


Kareem Benzema is the only one has very good record at different team and still good he has been remain good. So I hope now he will also bring up some fine moment for the team.

Atletico Madrid move definitely a more desirable move than going to Fernebache. In European football competitions ATM has the spotlight than the Turkish league club.
A €35 million deal with €5 million adds on is worth it for the Nigerian especially considering his age and the deal term, all looks favourable. I came imagine how happy is would be to leave Atalanta given his broken relationship with the Italian side.

I hope this side of La Liga favors him, after all that happened with the Italian club, the player deserves what he got, playing for Atletico is a good upgrade for the player, we will see Lookman in his good side for the club, were the relationship is great between the club and players, players perform much better under that condition.

It should favour him as it's a club that actually wants him there in their team and his talent would be of huge addition to the squad depth of Atletico Madrid. The Spanish club is a very established club more than Atalanta his former club who are not much regular in the UCL competition as Atletico Madrid are in the past many seasons and have really performed very extraordinarily than Atalanta.
