SRBPolaris V3.5 - BIOS editor for AMD RX4XX and RX5XX cards

Hi,
I try to use SRBPolaris to make a RX480 more stable (a loser at silicon lottery, unstable above 2000MHz/Stride 1750). It is slightly more stable when voltage of the VRAM (controller) is at 1020-1040mV.

As i understand you can only undervolt VDDCI ?
What is the relation between VDDCI and the VRAM Voltage (controller)?
What if I put a higher voltage for VRAM (controller?) and VDDCI?

F8 is -8 actually not -50.
Try putting that value to 0, and see what V you get really.

I thought that -8 x 6.25mv = -50mv unless my maths are wrong?

That would be 0xF8 x 6.25mV, not 0xF8 like you said earlier.
Did you try changing F8 to 00 in hex editor and checking the voltage in gpu-z as i suggested ?
It will be higher.. for 1 step, which is 25mV..

+ there are things that can be done with i2c commands but can not be done directly in bios IMO.

There are, like VRM switching frequency. I wrote some tools that do this for me on common VRM controllers.

So every card could have hacked I2C commands to offset the voltage, with the right tools?

That would be 0xF8 x 6.25mV, not 0xF8 like you said earlier.

So for this card you are trying, the voltage offset can be found at 0xF8, is this a standard for all cards that can be offset and if it is not the standard hex value, how did you determine 0xF8 for this specific card

im trying to figure out the vddc as well, i set it to 1068 for a card because its not as high quality as the others. im using afterburner to tune the cards which all are -60mv(1037-1068mv) but this one is -48mv(1093-1131mv) so i put in the low numbers and set everything to the min values shown here then it just puts it all back to original and runs that from what i see in afterburner after flashing and restarting... im running 580 pulse 8gb hynix cards

i thought u just replace the big value with the actual mv value u want
say 900, hard to tell if anything works though i still see over 1000 when the card runs

In IR3567B register for VRM switching frequency is known and preset for it could be added to VOI.
Or I am missing something?

Doktor, let's say I've tons of gpus with same brand and model. All are same. While flashing their bios I'd like to use unique names to identify them in case I face an issue.

For example. In my rack, I have 6 gpus on first floor. Another at second floor. Can I use  VendorID or DeviceID option and add names like "GPU1atFirstFloor"?

This way, I could check HWinfo and if i see memory error, I could easily identify the failing gpu. Could you please clarify this?

Wow Polaris is weird. When I first heard about not being able to lower vcore below 1.0V or less than VDDCI (or whatever is happening) I didn't even believe it.

Anyway, on the overclock.net PBE thread gupsterg referred to a post that seemed like it might be helpful in that regard so just thought I'd link it here.

If u don't change this byte from 0F to 0B, memcontroller voltage will be the same as vcore.
Some customs have this value already set, else i wouldn't know about it.

He is talking about doing a windows regedit but says the thing he is editing is an exact copy of the powerplay table in the VBIOS.
