Experimenting with a Sapphire 580X limited edition card.

GPU-Z indicates the memory as Hynix

v2.51 lists the memories(! yes, SW uses the plural) as Samsung first and Hynix second.


What is going on?

but when i open the bios it s say  bios is unknown

Yeah, ITX is the small version of this card, not the same bioses

It just means that your bios has timings for 2 types of memories. You got phisically only one type on the board.
If gpu-z says its hynix, then probably it is

When card is unknown you can still change everything except voltage and default clocks.

are you sure voltage chamging works? i tried to change voltage on mai gaming 5704gb
by saving bios , then clicking the voltage drop down, i then saw the 925 greyed out, then saved
but the card is still drawing over 1000mv no where near 925, aloso why cant i chage that 925 to sonething lower

Because it looks like they don't have their own bios ver. so they use xfx-es.
Open a HIS bios in hex editor and see for yourself.

Unfortunately there are a lot of mem. controller chip types, the solution i provide is "general" so it wont work with every card.
You have to change vddc (where it says 65288 mV), not only change the vddci with the dropdown.
On some cards these options do nothing...
BUT, here's a solution for you :
You took down the vddc to 1V, now you can lower it more with wattool.

+1 success. I used this to mod my Sapphire Nitro (non +) 8GB with Micron memory today, worked just fine to copy up the 1625 straps. Thanks!
