Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Hey man, I am posting weekly predictions of when the airdrop will end. So far so good.

You can follow it on my Twitter, in the BTX Telegram or here in this ANN each Monday.

Here's the link to my post for this Monday:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1883902.msg31124703#msg31124703

The airdrop started with 3% each week in November, then 4% each week in December, then 5% each week in January, then 6% each week in February and next Monday in March we will have 7% each week.
With my current prediction the airdrop address will be depleted by late April (so we will see 8% each week in April but probably no more than that).

--ypsi

Thank you for the effort of making the calculations. The last time I've read, it's going to be 6% until the wallet gets depleted but I'm not sure though if I've read it here or somewhere. I was trying to set my own expectation. I'm still rooting for the success of this coin.

I do wish BTX good luck and I'd like to share my opinion. According to analizing  (https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcore; Complete Metrics Score=42%) BTX lostes on "Social Media & Discussion Board". If we increase "Facebook Likes" and "Reddit Subscribers" then BTX will become more attractive for investors and enter TOP 100 of TOTAL INDEX.

If i would be a BTX believer, i would buy/increase  my stake this week before the 7% airdrop of next Monday. Seems cryptopia is working good last days, take the chance for buy more BTX today or tomorrow and withdraw them asap.
Carpe Diem, this airdrop will finish.. Better to take it as long as it lasts.

Why Bitcore: A new alternative?
● Bitcoin (BTC) has been reaching its limits for 2 years now:
– Only ~600000 - 1.2 million transactions per day possible
– Vast increase in price → Extremely high transaction fees, especially in relation to small transaction amounts
– Right now not suitable as payment coin
● Bitcore (BTX) was initiated at the peak of the scaling debate of the Bitcoin-network on 24th of April 2017
● It’s a decentralized coin, always on track with the latest crypto technology

Bitcore: creating facts instead of discussions
● Bitcore is already able to process 40x - 80x the transactions of Bitcoin
● Extremely low transaction fees (~0,01ct @ $20/BTX), even lower than current Litecoin (LTC) fees
● → The ideal payment coin (VISA: 150 Million transactions vs. BTX: 48 million, with LightningNetwork: 1+ Billion)
● The great advantage of BTX over some of the supposed competition (Paypal, VISA, Mastercard etc.):
– No central authority → no dependency
– No horrendous fees for merchants, restaurant owners, webstores, hotels and sales of any kind
– Great flexibility, everyone with a smartphone can get started easily.

Bitcore in comparison:

Bitcore Roadmap:

I like the comparison chart. What I cannot believe is that BTX is still so cheap, yet even better than some of the other coins. This comparison chart should be thrown on Twitter. People just don't know about this coin

Sorry for the noob question, but how do I open the debug console in the wallet in order to register for the airdrop?

Look at the top, left side on your wallet. Under "Help" you find the debug window (console). When you click on it, a new window appear. In this window, you can click on 4 different options. One of this options is console. There you can find the debug console.  Smiley
