This ETF review is getting taken far too serious by people. It's just the SEC looking through everything to make sure they haven't missed anything that may have lead to them potentially unfairly rejecting it not that long ago. It's funny that at the time the ETF was rejected people were saying that it didn't matter because there is no need for an ETF, and now there is even a 0.01% chance of approval, people miraculously see huge potential in this ETF.

I still doubt that if ever the ETF approved it, we will see $3000 level soon. It will still take some time before we see the price jumping on this level. Again as I have said, the impact that really affect the price to really soar is the scalability issue. They need to solved this issue right away and step aside the politics behind it. Because if this is resolved, we can truly see the potential of bitcoin specially in the financial landscape of the general public and other countries who are going to embrace bitcoin technology.

It's impossible for bitcoin reach $3000 just in a short time, It will need a lot of time. But ETF approved just give hundreds millionds dollar for the bitcoin market cap. Don't expect if the price of bitcoin can be doubled for instantly caused by bitcoin etf. It's really wrong opinion in my mind. It can't be considered as a big waves in the future.

Bitcoin price literally doubled in one year but since $1200 price range is a little high for most of the people they rather find alternatives to direct buying Bitcoins which would be mining and as long as people can mine for themselves with a cost of even %80 of the current market price they will definitely do it, so unless difficulty increases that much as to make it more profitable to simply buy the coins and not mining them I don't see $3000 or even near $2000 in this year.
Even if ETF approves then people will go and mine instead of buying into the hype.

Every time I have seen the price of bitcoin going up even more, there always were many threads about the same topic: if bitcoin is going to reach xxx USD in next xxx years.
The only thing that was changing, was the numbers. It is exactly the same in this case, now it is about BTC reaching 3000$ until 2018.

That question haven't been asked before just because the price of bitcoin has crossed the 1300$ level lately. People are looking even higher and higher levels, which is still good for bitcoin.

I do not really think that it it possible, but bitcoin has amazed us many times already: so it is not impossible to happen.

Home based casual mining is long gone,it is not at all profitable to mine bitcoin with the difficultly level we have,the positive side is that since the alt coin market is rising along with bitcoin people will be investing their time in mining alts and then convert those coins into bitcoin and that is the possible situation now,the speculation of bitcoin will continue and new grounds will be broken with time.

I would not say it's completely impossible for bitcoin to do so.
Let there be a positive ETF outcome, a break through with the block size problem or a few positive signals from major governments all around the world, and we could approch to a region near 3000$ per coin.
Of cours, that is pure speculation from my side, and chances that it will come this way are very small. But not impossible either.

I agree. It can not grow so fast, it takes more time. The price can not constantly go up and during this year there will still be small reductions that will not allow such growth.

Hitting 3000 USD would require a daily increase of about 0.4% for the remainder of the year.  Seems very possible to me!

Yesterday all coins was in plus and green, today all reds and prices are dropping, but bitcoin is going up and today we saw new ATH. I'm pleasantly surprised with this price movement, I didn't expect this and probably if price continue to rise steady we can see 1500 dollars very soon, looks like that is just a matter of time now.

Yes, the sudden increase in the price to 3000$ is not good for bitcoin, I think ETF will agree to accept bitcoin as one of the payment methods.
The price of bitcoin should increase slowly in order to attract more people, the sudden increase in the price will lead to afraid by the people.

Anything that goes up too fast too soon is bound to come down at some point. Bitcoin is not exempted from this and we can’t really expect that the price continues to increase without some corrections along the way. Although $3,000 is a nice price to be at, it must happen at the right time and not be caused by some pump and dump scheme.

Everything is possible so it's hard to say exactly but despite current relatively quick rise I don't think that price will touch 3000$ so soon. For that it takes time and all conditions on the market to be right. We can expect further pump but not without any limit and corrections made along the way.
