Hello guys, great news you managed to solve the 4 gpu limitation.

I have a doubt and I hope you can help me over: the point is that I am trying to follow the steps to install the cards and I want to know if I need to use the Windows 7 rx 470 drivers or if the win 10 drivers will make the trick too. Any chance that you can tell me the exact driver to download? I know this question may sound and look stupid, but if you check the procedure, the RX 470 drivers directory is from Windows 7.

This has been answered in this thread already. Yes use Win10 versions of the two.

Hey guys can any one help me with MSI Z270 Pro A Bios settings?

I was able to install manually 6 GPU RX 570 using the technique described in earlier posts.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130993

However when I boot up it only recognizes both cards in pcix16 slots and doesn't recognize pci x1 cards

When I enable an option in BIOS for Enable 4G Encoding Yes and PEG to Gen1

Windows gives me blank screen.

Without it boots up an i can see all 6 cards but only 2 are working with Drivers. I saw a posts by a member regarding MSI Z270 6 GPU working however I cannot find the same posts again [believe me I have searched]
they had a link for newegg link thats what i used to purchase however I cannot get the damn thing working with 6 gpu.

Thank you,

Thanks to the OP for coming up with a solution, but I'm not having much luck with it Sad

I'm using a ASrock H61 Pro BTC, and 4 RX570's

I cleaned all the drivers out, and made the merged driver pack as described. Updated the drivers through device manager, get the unsigned driver warning

Has anyone covered the "Windows requires a digitally signed driver" error that happens after you get through the driver install?

After the reboot all the drivers are disabled for the cards and have yellow exclamation marks in device manager.

Got me a bit stuck.

I have seen that in the past... I disabled "Program Compatibility Assistant Service" and I no longer see that error.  I already had that service disabled when setting up new rigs with 570's so I am unsure if it actually creates a problem or not.

Thank you,

And on page 3

Alright first off, for Z170 and Z270 chipsets, I found that the best way to get the 5th card working is to DISABLE memory encoding, install one graphics card at a time. If you're getting any code 43's on 4 cards, you need to regedit hack Windows "DisplayLessPolicy" and "LimitVideoPresentSources" (google). Once 4 work fine, install the 5th and reboot. Now you should be getting code 12's. NOW you go into BIOS and Enable 4G Encoding. Start Windows. 4 cards may work but one card might report problems. Disable this card in windows, wait 30 seconds, reenable it. It works. If you have older drivers, you're on your way to 6+ GPUs.

On top of that, make sure you do UEFI only booting, not Legacy+UEFI, and confirm that works with 4G disabled first otherwise you'll need to reinstall Windows. Also, disable Windows 7 Installer and Windows 8.1/10 WHQL and fast boot and MSI fast boot, that whole page of boot options should be disabled.

I got all 6 gpus running but when i run Claymore's dualminer there is an error:

No Amd opencl or nvidia gpus found exit

I think thats because claymore thinks that there is no amd driver installed.

Suggestions to this ?

Do you need UEFI enabled for the newer cards (rx470/580) to work properly?

Does anyone have 6 rx570 gpus working on Biostar tb250 BTC motherboard?

I tried to install different drivers, activated pixel mode, also tried 6 gpu mode described here (16.9.2->17.4.3),  but only 4 cards works.
4 msi rx570 gamingX cards working perfectly alone, but after I insert 2 more Asus Strix Rx570, rig stops to work properly. Does anyone have idea how to solve this problem?

Hi all,
Successfully installed 5 rx570 but now when i run claymore after a couple of minutes, the computer freezes.
Im using 1200 watt and 500 watt power supply. Tried to run 4, 3, and 2 rx570 but they all freeze after a couple of minutes using claymore. So far it will only work with one rx570 installed.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Someone tried some Rx570 ITX 4Gb ?
I got 8, 5 are running 1100/2000/875 @ ~28.9MH eth / 640 MH dcr, the other 3 needed some mem/voltage tweaks to stop them from crashing, lowering the hashrate to about 27ETH/580DCR.

I have two 4 card rigs with almost identical hashrate, one has 4x470 and draws about 650W from the wall (bronze psu), the other has 4x570 and pulls 680W (gold psu) so they are a bit more power hungry.

Could you share your bios, please?

In every case, I have a problem: making Windows recognize my 7 cards is not a problem (driver trick) but claymore and all the other apps don't recognize driver and close immediately (it must be an opencl problem, even GPU-Z won't start if I don't force it).
Do you have a solution? Tried pixel patcher but nothing. I have a Z170A Gaming Pro Mainboard.

Thanks!

Guys, you need to have your cards on stock vbios if you want them to have a chance of installing properly. Only flash them (and apply pixel clock patcher) once you can see them all working in device manager.

I spent hours yesterday swearing at my rigs wondering why I wasn't able to install Windows... Only to realise it would never install in uefi mode as long as the video card bioses weren't stock.
