$2000 anyone?

There is a high chance that we will see $2000 even by end of this month (finger crossed).

A 10% increase in price at $400 is only $40; but with current price of $1750, 10% is a whooping $175 and a 14% increase will give us $2000!

At this time the price of bitcoin landed at $1,845 and there's few more amount that we need to reach we can be good at $2,000. It's very possible to see right now that it will happen very soon. And if we already landed at $2,000 we are going to expect another price likely $3,000 - $5,000. As the price increasing, our expectations will increase too.

The expectations are very high around the price, reaching $2000 will be very good... I see many people creating topics to ask questions of when we reach the $3000. Ha ha ha

It will be very interesting these next months.

We are really expecting the price to enter the $2000 mark value and I think we can see that price mark this very month of may but more than that value I think we can see some resisting if we can still go further that value, I can not speculated any more if we are going any further anytime soon!

The price increase is happening quickly and we will see it very soon. Yeah it's better to see the price to go up first at $2,000 before expecting another price. I really wish we can see some action regarding the value of bitcoin but the fluctuation right now is unbearable and I am having doubts if the price would really goes up to the $2000 mark value because yesterday the price reach to $1800 value, but it got blew back to $1700 as of now, is it really gonna stay up or is it going to collapse right now?

2000$ isn't impossibe at all, in fact it's very likely that we will reach it very soon if the price continues to rise this fast without interruptions. It's very good opportunity for Bitcoin holders, especialy those on long term, to earn some very decent amount of money. And then we can easily go further above 2000$.

Point is that the price has never gone up without any interruptions, and current situation isn't any different. I think it's just a matter of days, maybe a week or two at most before we go through a correction. It would be a healthy situation if the market takes a step back after going up like this. But hey, this is Bitcoin after all -- literally anything can happen. From there it wouldn't be that surprising if we smash through the $2000 level any time soon.

Bitcoin prices occur on supply and demand. Not influenced by any government. So, $2000 is quite possible to reach. Investing in bitcoin is as good as investing in gold.

Supply and demand has its limits. At a certain stage the supply will reach a point at which the demand will be slowing down due to people not willing to pay the price for it anymore -- result will be a correction. Please put more effort into reading a post before hitting the reply button.

Yup, it is not far from bitcoin to reach that amount especially now because bitcoin still at a high price. I think bitcoin could reach that amount before this year ends. Yet, it will continue to rise if other countries will legalize bitcoin in their area and accept it as mode of payment.

$2000 can achieved this year or it can be $2500 justmy predict because as of now were on the right path that bitcoin rising and rising. As of now were on $1800 so $2000 is just easy to reach if there's some good news that will reflect the bitcoin price to rise. First it was the $1000 mark that people were obsessed with, and now we're close to reaching the $2000 mark, people go nuts on that.

For most people Bitcoin is just a game from which they don't know how much effort it actually takes to keep the price at current levels for longer than a day or two.

At this point there isn't much that is challenging people, which is exactly where the 'danger' hides itself. If the price doesn't correct, the price will likely continue to increase.

Not that something is wrong with that, but I seriously believe that we're past the point from which you can say that current price is a right reflection of the situation we're sitting in.

$2,000 USD is just around the corner. If BTC rate can drop $100 in just a matter of days, vise versa BTC can also increase its value to $100 USD in 24 hours. Today, BTC may have dropped in value a few flicks down but still, the price is way better than the price last year or even 6 months ago.

Well you are actually right and come to think of it, even though the price got a drop from $1788 to the $1690 it just flickers back to the $1700 value mark  right now, this is how bitcoin work and have move ever since it all started, but the value of it right now was very outstanding not like the previous value of bitcoin, this price value was pretty high and most people are crazy about it that it changes how people have think about bitcoin.

Thats why it has an aversion to 2,000, if you visualise 2 magnets and how two poles the same pushed together will repel each other.  Its like that until we surpass that point and then its support, this force is already happening.   Thats the effect I'm referring to really.    But 2000 by itself means nothing, whats the number in Euro or rubles or Yen.     This isnt really the driver of bitcoin growth, this round number game is just a mirage and we'll dance around here but my guess is we go past 2,000.   There has to be more substantial reasons for ebbs in supply and demand for bitcoin medium term.   Protocol and trade, rising use will determine the price mostly.

It depends on how strong the demand for more coins remains. Don't forget that more and more people are holding Bitcoin as long term investment - they buy on exchange, and in most cases these coins get stored offline. Result of this is that the availability of tradable on-exchange coins will only decrease, and that throughout all major exchanges. If this continues, the price will even go up while the demand stays relatively on the same levels.

Precisely,  its not far from bitcoin to reach that amount within this year if it will continue to rise. However, if it will stop to pump it is impossible to touch that amount yet, I guess bitcoin has increase enough this year.

That is not exactly right. Official legislation is the main force behind bitcoin adoption - just see what happened after Japan acknowledged bitcoin as legal payment method.
Price skyrocketed through the roof and now we are closing fast to $2000. Reverse situation - if some country would ban bitcoin, there will be mass panic among bitcoin investors.
Which would cause mass dump and crash, so Bitcoin is not exactly outside the influence of governments.
