I am not getting why there is so much of a panic. The developers offered to issue reimbursement in tokens. Tokens are what you wanted to receive in exchange for your money. It seems fair enough because you paid for tokens and still received them. Yes, the tokens became less valuable at the moment. But that is where your risks were resting - the market. Moreover, you have tokens, and the project you trusted is still alive and promising.

What is the point having tokens from a project which has no funds anymore for development? The project is still alive? For how long?

Dude they raised over $6 million not counting the fraud.  Even if they blow half of it on cars and drugs, that still leaves a ton of money for a dozen people to develop something.

A reasonable solution is to close this project, it is known that half of the funds will be not realized.

Useless token, worthless project and amateurs developer. There is not a reason to buy this token as long as you can see the truth that the fucking coindash site gets hacked and that's a newbie mistake.
The team is not competence for running this project. Claimed to the future of the trading system, in another side fail to keep the security of the ico site. WHAT A SHAME COINDASH TEAM!!

They already issued one round of useless CR! tokens back in the ether.camp hackathon.

So hack aside what was the logic behind early investors sending more ETH to participate in the ICO?

I mean I was an early backer and bought CR! tokens under the impression they were worth something...

From gitte[Suspicious link removed]/CoinDash-io/Lobby

Alon Muroch @negedzuregal Dec 14 2016 19:39 Last day to get your CoinDash tokens at 0.01 HKG before the price goes up!

bamos01 @bamos01 Dec 14 2016 22:49 What is the reason to buy CR tokens?

Alon Muroch @negedzuregal Dec 15 2016 00:41 Hi @bamos01, great to have you here! Our product is 100% directed to crypto investors, developed by crypto investors. The most critical stages in a startup's life is its early days until it reaches market fit, that is, a product optimised enough to give great value to its users. The same way traditional investors invest in a company and get direct influence of its decision making (a sit in the board of directors), any of our investors will do as well. The tokens can be used by us only if we convince you, our investors, they will be used at the right development direction. As we optimise our product, the token's value will rise as it will become more attractive and the company's product becomes better and better. Buy more tokens early on, you will have more influence on decision making and future development. An incredible side effect is that the more people invest in us the more market validation we get which means, again, the company becomes even more attractive.

On top of that they strung us along asking to contact them as they had a reward for early investors

From their blog posts...

"Ether.Camp early investors call – To further emphasis our appreciation of your support, we want to grant a special reward to those of you who backed us from day one. We are calling all of you who supported us through the Ether.Camp Hackathon to contact us and get your reward. Please send your e-mail and name used during the Hackathon to contact@coindash.io. We will reach you as soon as possible."

Turns out this "reward" was just the opportunity to send them more ETH via the whitelist. LOL

Did any of you other early investors have a similar view and expectations as myself? Or did I see this all wrong?

EDIT: for full disclosure I declined the "opportunity" to participate in the ICO

Maybe it was scam before the hacked site. The ICO was only of 50% of CDT! Shocked Shocked
Developers took for themselves a huge percentage of ICO.

Ok. What to do now?
Wait for another annoucement from Coindash dev, and fill the form if you have invested in wrong (hacker) address. They said they will make sure all investors get coindash token even though they have sent to hacker address.

Why we need to fill out the form? They have all the information needed right on the public ledger. We call it a blockchain.

The lack of communication from the dev team is a serious issue.
This hack represents a major crisis, the dev team must talk to the investors and to the community.
Everytime there is a major hack, it is the whole cryptocurrency ecosystem who is impacted.

Investors/Campaigners STOP giving fake assurances to people just because your money is stuck in this project on whitelist/bounty.

We all know FATE of this coin. I haven't invested but I warned people about the wrong calculations and payout for their Token. Even if you get CDT back there is no way it can give you back same profit as of ETH.

This was a big scam always. Devs not releasing 500M coins, rest 500M Coins on sale with Hard Cap 80000 ETH .... Price per ETH comes out to be 6250 CDT/ 1 ETH  ... they selling you at rate of 6093 CDT/ 1ETH (With 30% Bonus) ... Laughing Stock !!
Now Devs have your 43000+ ETH, 500 M coins and 81M extra coins from your investment {6250 + 1875 [30% bonus] - 6093 = 2032 CDT/ 1 ETH extra}

Imagine if they pre-release this shit coin on any shady exchange and dump it off before listing on major exchanges ... they will make huge profit. Confirm 30 Million+ SCAM

Even if you are able to sell this shit coin, you will still be in loss due to dumping of 500M plus coins!!!!!

If hackers really steal 40000+ ETH
Then the price of CDT will reach the ICO price of 1/2

Incompetence on the part of the campaign managers and developers. How can the project be trusted anymore. Might as well shelve the hell out of it and refund the invested amount whether it was stolen or not. The negligence of those who are behind this project is really unthinkable. Consider your product will involve trading which generally attracts hacking, now how much confidence people would have on this as simple prevention of phishing they can't avoid.

My Ether Wallet rant about today's ICO fuck up:
https://twitter.com/myetherwallet/status/886997735911546880?s=09

"1 Alright Crappy Token Creators listen up. I am 100% out of patience. It's 10am. I haven't slept. And you are going to get to hear me rant.

2/ You do not provide support for your investors. You do not protect your investors. You do not help educate your investors.

3/ You do not help this community before, during, and only *occasionally* after you raise millions.

4/ You chase a goldmine of stupid money instead of helping Ethereum become what it should become. You promise lots, but deliver lost funds.

5/ Fake addresses, scambots, phishing, exploits, domain takeovers & phone hijacking have been happening since day one yet you don't prepare.

6/ Stupid mistakes (not validating user inputs) no extra effort (0 tutorials / 0 support) & lack of consideration for long-term is 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

7/ You've been "working" on fancy marketing & cranking out DNS records on a pile of free services like there is no tomorrow. Game over.

8/ Don't think you are off the hook investors: You get some blame too.

9/ Throwing money at any address, clicking like theres never been a Nigerian Prince & not demanding more from investments is a problem too

10/ Step up your game. 2000 unique addresses in 2hrs fell for the same scam that's been taking money for years. Time to grow up."
