LTC is worth 0.0120000 BTCXRP is worth 0.00003500 BTCyou shouldn't even begin to compare these two coins together! and not to mention that LTC is a legit cryptocurrency which had no premine or any other shit like that  and to answer your question: yes it only needs 0.027 BTC price to take over XRP's marketcap. and that is not even $50 which is the first target for litecoin! |

As there are 4x LTC per BTC, it might get to a quarter of it. What you say is true but I was really referring to MC. If it exceeds a quarter of the token price it will exceed the MC. Why not now LTC is getting everything BTC is not for now ? the question is no longer why LTC needs to exist but perhaps why does BTC need to exist... coblee is also a great leader when he wants to be....shame he was not always so hot for LTC in the past. |

I think is never can overtake volume transaction bitcoin because all exchanger majority trade litecoin pair with bitcoin, is big volume transaction litecoin use pair bitcoin so volume transaction litecoin can added volume transaction bitcoin |

It will, We know if bitcoin gets a lot of bullish trends right now and it supports the bitcoin price to get another ATH. We must remember if LTC is a silver and bitcoin is a gold. Both are very identical in my mind. Due to the massive increase of bitcoin demands, It will give a lot of advantages for litecoin to be another alternative for bitcoin itself. It's possible for ltc market cap will be equal with XRP. |

LTC has crossed $1 Bn. It is up 40% in the last 24 hours!!!  But still a long way to go before it crosses XRP. Ripple is worth almost twice of Litecoin, in terms of market capitalization. |

Here we can't compare these two Because the main thing in the two of the altcoins is that Thier basic concept to exist in the altcoins market is different . The litecoin is mean to have value of the bitcoin in small amount and Ofcourse if it is lite than BTC then its price will be comparable to bitcoin Because its basic price was also comparable and Currently also comparable . But in the case of the xrp , you need to see the starting base price that really small , so here it will not be good to say that xpr is back.to the litecoin . Here the progress of the xrp isch more fast ( in my opinion ) then what is in the case of the litecoin . |

I think there's big possibility because litecoin now is in a good state and xrp is not too famous, if litecoin keep on continue on growing it can replace xrp place and there is a lot of investor attracted to litecoin for now

I think who ever could make many supply could win. Btc is the highest not because only of its price because everyone can mine it easily and its supply is in demand. LTC may increase in the market but that depends on its demand,a lot of altcoins were made nad LTC is one of the oldest. I would agree that LTC would increase but i its not really that it will overtaking any others. |

Coinbase announced today in its blog that it is officially adding support for the Litecoin currency. Now, customers can easily buy, sell, ship and store through the website or mobile apps.
The decision came months after Coinbase's digital asset exchange, GDAX, added support for litecoin trading, although the startup long ago left the prospect of additional litecoin integrations - CEO Charlie Lee, Coinbase's director of engineering.
Overall, it's the latest notable boost to the second-oldest cryptocoin on the market, which has seen its audience rise recently amid news of its next scalability solution with SegWit. This adoption signaled the possibility of technological upgraded.

It was #2 coin for a long time, i dont see why it cant have a short stay around those levels again. There is much more money in crypto and it went to $50 before with less people/money involved on the pump.

Overtake bitcoin you fine that is most impossible thing we will actually see. Bitcoin has a market cap of some $30 bn and ltc didn't even reach a billion. For now i only think that eth is the right coin which has a chance to replace bitcoin. |

I don't like ltc, but if it manages to implement LN soon then it might go above XRP. Ripple made one of the best legal "scams" in the history of crypto. They are basically a private central bank that keeps increasing the inflation by releasing more tokens. And all of it centralized, ofcourse. But most people either don't bother to research or simply bet they can make some profit off it, because of teh FOMO reaction.
