What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.?

I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

First of all, bitcoin is decentralized no single institution controls it. There were already some advertisements to be honest either on youtube, tv or other popular platforms, well let me tell you an experience in my area about "advertise bitcoin" held by our local exchanger, well some famous celebrity advertised it on their official Instagram or facebook but the result is nothing, many people are not interested in contributing in bitcoin I don't know maybe they are just too lazy or ignorant to use bitcoin or maybe scared.

we need more bitcoin advertisement to make bitcoin popular and mainstream and i think tv ads  will be effective and should reach a larger audience

No need to advertise bitcoin itself. If you have company which is big enough to handle T.V. ads, advertise your own company and put Bitcoin somewhere inside of your ad, preferred payment methods maybe. You can directly advertise bitcoin too if you like but it doesn't make any sense unless you own thousands of bitcoins.

Rather than promoting through Television and other forms of ad making its good to have the spreading same as now through word of mouth. But these days it's been gaining popularity, recently news have got to circulate in the local news.

This is not impossibe but you have to find advertisers who will be willing to do so and pay very high amounts to TV stations because Tv commercials are very expensive. And on what kind of channels should Bitcoin be promoted, what is the audience that would understand and like such commercials? In current situation with people's knowledge about Bitcoin this would not be that easy.

It was very influential on society will be. If the bitcoin advertised on tv then bitcoin means has been on the State launches itself. This will be very popular bitcoin in public, so that those who do not yet know the bitcoin certainly will attempt to find out more about digital currencies.

The thing with open source, decentralized software (bitcoin) is that they usually don't have a specific team for the marketing for example, It all about the coding and everyone is free to contribute and help. So question is, who is willing to pay for the cause? advertising on T.V is definitely not that cheap.

I'm personally willing to donate for the cause, but who is going to collect those funds? That should be a known and trustworthy face on the bitcoin community like Andreas Antonopoulos for example.

Bitcoin advertisement both on social media and on television is a good way to promote and made known to public what is bitcoin all about. But the problem is that television advertisement does not come cheap and if we are going to advertise bitcoin or show it on air where will we get the funds and who will pay the advertisement. Since bitcoin is decentralized there are no organized management will shoulder the fees for the television show.

Well, most of the time I've seen only bitcoin in you tube for a demo, But in some news in the other country's there are some interviewer in the broadcast media, I'm not exactly so sure if it is in CNN news asking about in bitcoin. but if that happen in the T.V  advertisement that would be a big impact and advantage for us to spread more about in bitcoin.

1. TV is in decline, more and more people are stitching to internet as a main medium.
2. There is no central authority nor company which stands behind bitcoin, who will pay for BTC related TV ads? You? Me?
3. If something is good enough of a product it will be discovered despite lack of TV commercials.

For me that's a great idea for many people to go and become a bitcoin holder but we need someone or a company to make a advertisement about bitcoin having a sponsor is that easy if there nothing they can get they only sponsor a project if they can invest there money or get a share but in these case not gonna be easy to create this.

I assume you mean the one within bitcoin and not the world itself.   And that's a fair point,  but OP doesn't seem to understand the nature of advertising and who pays for it and the rationale behind it.  It's a suggestion someone very young or very naive would make, honestly.  There's no need to advertise bitcoin through media.  Period.

For me, that was a good idea. If we advertise bitcoin on T.V. it will became more famous then many people will interest bitcoin. In that case, the bitcoin market volume cap will increase and the price also will increase because the people that interested on bitcoin will buy bitcoin.

Exchanges should advertise Bitcoin on TV or other media, they will definitely get some users getting into their site and try trading. that will be beneficial to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

TV can be good media to reach wide range of possible bitcoin users but running tv ads will cost so much and nobody want to pay those money from their pocket.

There will be no any incentive for the one who will pay for those ads. However I think we may see some tv ads in near future from bitcoin related local services in few countries to promote their services.

Absolutely, since bitcoin is open source, no one in particular is going to make any profit  promoting bitcoin through TV ads solely as a currency. The legality of bitcoins is an issue, in most countries bitcoins has not been declared illegal, but still they have not accepted it as a legal currency. Might be due to this even the most die hard bitcoin enthusiast with some spare bitcoins would think twice before going forward with bitcoin as a currency TV commercial idea.

I agree on the point of legal matters. Before on thinking on making bitcoin advertisement all countries or a specific countries should be open on accepting bitcoin. Not on a wider scale like government i think because it may start a conflict on managing and manipulation. So it is not a good way to advertise bitcoin on TV or media as long as it does not have legality and acceptance. Developers should focus on developments to attract people on using bitcoin because it is easy to convince people if you will tell good thing about an specific thing. Just like on Bitcoin positive characteristic which people should want to experience and invest on.

This is also a good idea to somewhat advertise bitcoin in a way. Maybe online shops that always advertise their own like Lazada or Zalora could maybe include bitcoin as a preferred payment method to their products or even franchising restaurants like Jollibee or any other restaurant could do also. I think by doing these will make people more aware of bitcoin.

Definitely, you are right. Until now, i didn't see any of advertise about bitcoin in  any channels, So by making some advertisement about it on T.V. It will be great. Many peoples maybe enroll into bitcoin community by these pubs in TV.

          It is really a good idea if we try to advertise bitcoin in T.V but I have not seen one in our country. Well it is really also hard for the T.V networks to advertise bitcoin thats because they don't know where they get the source and money to pay them. I know that bitcoins are advertised online but I think advertising it on T.V will not really gain popularity and attention thats because like paypal i have not seen them advertised on T.V but they use referrals online and or T.V so I believe that doing referral is more effective way to make bitcoin known around the world. Also if they do actually advertise it in T.V its just like advertising a gambling advertisement.

It is a laudable idea but who'll be willing to pay for Bitcoin to be advertised on tv? Since it's decentralized and no one seems to claim direct ownership of it I doubt anyone will risk investing his money into Bitcoin advertisements without any returns.
