I do not know .. is eth better than bitcoin .. i only know bitcoin users bigger than eth .. because seen from bitcoin price increasing .. maybe eth also like that .. but bitcoin votalitas bigger than at Eth .. therefore if the amsa has bitcoin you will quickly get a profit or you will lose. But eth in my opinion is not a rival for bitcoin .. because if you have both then you will get double gain ..

Ethereum is not a threat to bitcoin in my opinion. Ethereum is just a stepping stone of Bitcoin to improve more. Bitcoin needs a potential rival to bring out the best out of it.

Bitcoin is the most popular crypto currency with the largest capitalization, with bitcoin the best developers work, it is recognized as a means of payment. Ethereum good crypto currency but it will not bypass bitcoin

I think ethereum is not going to threaten the position of the bitcoin because bitcoin is the king of all altcoin, bitcoin and ethereum has a different role, ethereum having the smart contract even ethereum is the top candidates altcoin who have an important role that good development, but eth is altcoin only as same as other coins that can't beat the bitcoin.
yes i agree with you bro
ETH will not be able to beat BTC prices Cool maybe one day ETH will beat BTC but that's just in case Volume is not for price Wink
Well, you may right if we're talking about both coin prices, but, how about market cap?. There's always a new project that uses ethereum's smart contract and by that, the market cap of ETH keep on increasing while in the other side, the dominance of BTC is now significantly decreasing compared to back then.
Don't you think that ETH is can be considered as BTC's most relevant threat up till now?
I do not think that ETH is a threat for the simple fact that it is not the same as bitcoin, ETH is great for developers but bitcoin is just a currency, if you look at the amount of money moving through apps and other software the amount is impressive, but bitcoin does not want to be an app bitcoin wants to be the currency you use to pay for the apps.

Ethereum is not a threat to Bitcoin. With time smart contracts will get bigger and more complicated. Complicated contracts can cause errors that can lead to ETH losses. So BTC will be more safe in a way because it's just a currency without any gimmick attachments.

Not at all, infact I believe that ethereum and bitcoin compliment each other. They are a team in my opinion. They work totally different and they both do different things and well ethereum can technically do a lot more. but we will always have Bitcoin Lovers out there and Bitcoin is great it sets a great example for other crypto's we should have respect for Bitcoin at the same time appreciate what ethereum can do. I think its win win. I hold both, and I have gotten great results with both.

Yes ethereum is not a threat to bitcoin as they have different perspective. Bitcoin is the strongest cryptocurrency and most used and supporters in bitcoin. Though ethereum has its own with smart contracts that most use in ICO project. So best use is the bitcoin and ethereum will not bypass the bitcoin.

I don't see it that way. I see them both as my future earnings, my future depends on them. They are both    good as of this time. Since i started trading it makes me realize the value of money. Always thinking what if i save all my extra allowances since i started studying maybe i can afford to have atleast 1btc. But it is not too late for me. I can still have it in the future.

ethereum is not a threat to bitcoin. I think new adopters of BTC will grow faster than the convertors from BTC to Eth. Plus I don't think that is possible to Etherum to take the leading position one day.

I don't know why people keep on putting ethereum and bitcoin at the same stage. Bitcoin will never be replaced by any fast growing alt coin. Alt coins will be on the second thought by everyone. Bitcoin will be the main stage of crypto currency and I can't see any threat from other alt coins as well because this is the main crypto coin.

Name one popular DAPP. You can't. If there ever was a popular one that was used 24/7 it would slow the ETH network down so much that the developer would have to switch his DAPP to an APP with a centralized server. The ETH network can't handle an ICO without coming to a standstill. Imagine a constant standstill.

The fact is that a decentralized network is 1000s of times slower than a centralized one. As such it might be capable of doing one thing well. Like be money. Even then scaling issues for bitcoin and other coins demonstrate that even doing one thing well on a decentralized network is difficult because of the speed issues.

Curiously, despite this obvious fact, novices continue to think that the ETH network is a world supercomputer that can function as money, run multiple DAPPs, solve banking issues, run smart contracts for businesses and destroy every other cryptocurrency. To be frank that's just plain stupid.

The Ethereum Platform is interesting and might have uses on private chains and networks. Almost every news article about Ethereum is about the platform and not the public blockchain. The public chain will become so bloated and congested that it will become virtually useless.

Is Ethereum a threat to bitcoin. Not a chance.

No, Ethereum not better than BTC. Because the bitcoins have a power in price And bitcoin dominates all cryptocurrency including ethereum. As far i know, Ethereum only better than BTC because ethereum have a smart contract.

As they both  have different platform so, I don't think that Etherium is a threat to Be,, But as Etherium price is increasing so it is possible to reach the BTC value and even cross it

For me it will become threat if many people use ETH rather than bitcoin.Bitcoin sinks in to users mind that no matter what happens they will only use bitcoin even though that ETH has an high value and even it grows it will not be in the level of bitcoin.Even though there are many users of ETH still bitcoin is the frontliner pof Cryptocurrency.

I read some news about ethereum and I started to believe that ethereum can exceed bitcoin in terms of market cap within 3 years. I didn't used to think and assume this before. Whales is being waited for ethereum price rally. Yet, this doesn't mean bitcoin will die due to ethereum.

Right now, the major threat for Bitcoin is from Bitcoin Cash and not from any other altcoin. If anyone is having any doubt regarding this, then please check the hash rates of all these coins. And talking about Ethereum, I have a feeling that ETH is an inflated balloon, which can burst at any time.

Anybody who thinks pointing at the hashrate of Bitcoin Cash means much should really read this article:

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/miners-are-milking-bcashs-difficulty-adjustments-and-why-problem1/

Unfortunately, the EDA bug is currently unfixable because it requires miners to adopt a new version of software during a hardfork. Why would they adopt the new version when it's not to their advantage? The only way to solve the problem is a large increase or decrease in price. Likely, a large decrease will happen. Why would it increase when the developers of Bitcoin Cash have proven a level of incompetency by programming this bug in the first place?

Things may settle down once the price drops extremely low for a prolonged period of time. Until then hugh swings in hashrate will continue.

It seems to me they are in not competitive at all, it would be like comparing Michael Jordan to Tiger Woods. They were both top athletes in their respective sports but they aren't directly comparable except as an analogy. Ethereum offers the ability to create smart contracts while Bitcoin is the superior digital gold. My two cents.
