Yes I didn't get his point exactly. Ripple is a company and XRP is a blockchain related cryptocurrency. What he wants to complain actually. Yes in my opinion XRP is centralized and is not good for crypto's but you can make money investing in it as many banks will adopt XRP.

I think Ripple is one of the most centralized coins out there. At the moment it seems like that some whales are playing with it like they did with Bcash.

Bitcoin and crypto as a whole at the start was big with anarchists/anti-establishment types, they're the ones who held Bitcoin, used it, actually brought it to where it is. They still hate banks and the government. Ripple is helping banks become efficient and is working with regulators around the world to ensure crypto isn't just banned world wide.
Those bitcoin fundamentalists really don't like what Ripple is doing and they REALLY don't like that it is succeeding.

So a lot of hate and lies are spread around. Majority is easily refutable with a small amount of research but a lot of people will take it at face value and begin to spread it themselves.
So what we're left with is this. The vocal community (predominately Bitcoin holders new and old) do not like Ripple and say bad things about it non-stop, but they're the minority and the people with money (who either believe in the token or just want more money) are jumping in getting the price up.

Ripple's total market cap has outperformed ETH's total marketcap. Meaning crypto people are now investing in Ripple. Even the huge whales are so afraid to dump as the volume is so huge. Huge number of volume will kill the centralization.

It is but as you can see you can earn more bitcoin trading it. Thats why people buy it. I personally wouldn't buy it. There are other opportunities
