Not trying to jack the thread but im thinking of minting 1 coin in a special series... ultra rare, 1 of 1.  Trying to think of a good price point. It will be made of old used bubble gum too so i think not only is this going to be a 1 of 1, it possibly is going to be the first coin ever made out of bubble gum!!! If anyone is interested let me know.  Ahould only be around 100-200btc for it, great price for a rare coin.

This has turned into the reference thread for rare crypto collectables so I'll add what I think is the rarest collectable. This had a very limited release, only half of 1 ever made.

I am open to offers, but anything under 200BTC should not waste either of our time.

Besides for the outrageous B.I.N, if this coin fetches anything near the auction start price I'm sure you'll soon see the supply increase exponentially.
Those coins have no counterfeit prevention measures and would be really easy to copy.
In other words, your starting price is unrealistic but good luck nonetheless. I'd be surprised if you'd get more than $70 for it.

My balls don't produce children.

I'd think that would offer the highest premium, due to a quicker ROI.

Sky i think you hit the nail on the head and im starting to realize i screwd up.  I think it is $10, it was the worldwide shipping that cost the extra 99.99btc. I think this includes shipping via spacecraft, they were just covering themselves in case it needs to be shipped to mars as well.

This is pretty funny a newbie comming on the forums trying to sell a promotional throw away coin for 100 BTC. I'll offer you .001 LTC for it  Grin

Ffs I came too late and the bidding got way out of hand. No one can afford to blow that kind of money on a brass token of a dead shitcoin. You are obviously the litecoin equivalent of Satoshi Nakamoto my friend. I bid you good day.

Or are we trolling the feed?

My brain hurts after reading this thread in it's entirety.

I will trade one large clump of ...premium organic free reign (grass fed?) majestic Shih-tzu fur for your magical token. You send first though. I don't know if an escrow would take this trade seriously enough.

Buy it now 100 BTC. - Once bitcoin goes mainstream and so does crypto coin collecting, I expect this coin to fetch hundreds of thousands.

This is cool, i was not aware of this coin. I have written a book about crypto coin collecting (check my signature  Cool), and while I think that collecting can become much more popular as time goes on, I can say that you will have no luck getting anything near 100 BTC for this.

FIRSTLY, People that believe that crypro-coin collecting will go mainstream will also believe that BTC will likely go up 10x or 100x, meaning they are effectively paying 2m-20m for this coin, which is surely ridiculous

SECONDLY, despite all my research, I've never seen this. There is no 'story' behind it, and thus no history to speak of. For all we know, 1,000 exist, OR it is a one-off coin that you created. If I could sell a 'newly discovered' coin for $200,000, you can bet I would be manufacturing a coin with '2013' or whatever on it.

My advice is that you hold this coin; if one or two others surface, there will be a story to tell, and more info. I'd also like to add it to the next version of my book.  It might be worth something (but not 200K) in 3-10 years. That said, if you are very lucky, I could see you getting 2 BTC from some very serious collector.

There were lots of people in the industry at the conference including popular collectable supplier HARDBTC.
It's entirely irrelevant who was at that conference. Minor coin assessment:
1) Metal used: Brass #Bad.
2) Condition: Doesn't look good from what I can tell.
3) BTC coin: No.
4) Jetcoin importance: none.
5) Asking price: Someone has been taking a lot of acid lately.

I generally disagree with this assessment. i think the coin is interesting in that it was used as a promotional item by a company, and the story behind that company may be interesting. In this way it becomes a 'physical manifestation' of crypto-history, which can in itself be valuable. Similarly, I dont think the fact that it is associated with a 'shitcoin' is in any way relevant to its value as a historically significant collectible that is a testament to the crazy times of 100's of currencies. Indeed, if this is associated with zerocoin, it may be the only 'relic' of its existence. I think it is an interesting coin and might even get a page or half-page in my book, meaning it will be 'known' for a long time. I don't think it would be completely insane (but maybe a little nutty) to pay sub-5000 for this coin, which is a little over 2.5BTC now.

that said.. 100BTC   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Thankyou for taking interest in Jetcoin coin,
a) This coin is certainly very real, two others have turned up on this thread who have received the same coin at bitcoin conferences (specifically at the jetcoin stand). Please read the entire thread.
b) Please add this remarkable coin to the next version of your book. If you decide to use the images i uploaded , i am pleased to say that i will not charge you for rights to use it.
c)There is a story behind this coin. Jetcoin went to all the bitcoin conferences to promote their project. They created these coins and attached it to a business card and gave it to people for free at the conferences. This is one of the few coins where the story behind it does not involve a sale (makes this coin even more unique and rare).
d) This could possibly be one of the rarest coins in crypto history, sure you can speculate on the price, but to say that i could only get 2BTC for a coin which is rarer than Casascius 10btc Silver or 1 BTC error is just offensive.

Have a look at the price of these coins and then tell me if i am being so rediculous.

http://www.therichest.com/luxury/most-expensive/the-top-10-rarest-coins-in-the-world/

If you need some professional photos of this coin, i will be happy to send you some over in  return for a copy of a complete e-book of your encyclopedia.
Thankyou,
