I have NEVER figured out how to solo mine. Can someone simply copy paste exactly what their cgminer bat file looks like so I can try?

I made a guide

How do you do solo mining though if your wallet is on a different computer from the miner?

set your config file to say
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*

Then point your miners to the IP address of the computer the wallet is on.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

Add this into user/appdata/Roaming/CHNcoin/chncoinf.conf
Code:
server=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcport=8844
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*

then point cgminer to your client ip
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o yourclientip:8844 -u user -p password

Ok, difficulty can rise anytime now lol.  Out of 100 "accepted" blocks, I've had actually 5 that were not orphans.

You can only mine from the computer where your wallet is. Otherwise you need a pool.

That's not true.  See blastbob's post above.  I do it all the time.

Or you could use my little guide on setting up a private pushpool for scrypt coins.  Grin

This is incorrect. You can mine from another PC as long as you have setup a proper .conf on the PC where the daemon is located

Is it much better than FeatherCoin? I think that it is created in the same way as with FeatherCoin. However, it is newer, it is better.  Cry
