TAT, I appear to have received my dividend payment twice. Is this a reversible error, and if not how do I get the "extra" payment back to you?

The BCTCT system glitched and paid out twice. I don't know if it is reversible, but please do the right thing and hold your coins for now.
I am waiting on a decision from Burnside as to how to resolve this.

Will do. If I don't see the payment reversed I'll follow up on this thread looking for instructions on how to return it.

Isn't it easier to reduce next payment(s)? Apparently you had enough coins. Some people have reinvestment programs so I doubt that you can cleanly reverse it even if nobody have withdrawn...

Was it a server side problem? In which case its BTC that is liable.

I can't withhold from next payout, I'd have to freeze the entire account for a week to do so. Simply hold the divs for now people, if you are a decent people.

Hey TAT, I had reinvest checked, not sure if that means it will automatically reinvest the divs or not. If it turns out that you can't reverse it, just let me know and I'll shoot the div back to whatever address you specify. Definitely don't want to double dip on you.

I am in a bizarre situation. I was buying shares while you were fighting with this bug, and the result is this: 1 share got the dividend paid twice. 44 shares (the ones I was buying) got the dividend once. edit: that said, I would have no problems returning that dividend, of course

I didn't realize I was overpaid until I looked at the dividends. I already purchased shares, but i'll watch here for the answer. If need be, I can pay back out of pocket.

I received a double-dividend payment as well :| How did this happen, and how should we return the extra payment to you ? FWIW, I manually reinvest dividends from both ASICMINER-PT and TAT.ASICMINER into TAT.ASICMINER, so, yeah... have this money staring at me needing to be returned, can't reinvest it, and would like to get it back to you.

Would it be acceptable to give people a negative balance if they didn't have enough funds to return?

I was paid twice as well.
Shares are bound to shuffle around in the next week, so reducing next week's div payment would potentially reduce the div on people that weren't even owners of the share this week, and would give an extra div to people who weren't holding the shares next week.
Hope that BTC-TC will be able to find a way to fix this.

Looks like it happened to everyone, so just hold onto your shares and coins for now until TAT says otherwise.
Im betting TAT is freaking out right now, but we can alleviate that if we just hold our positions for now.

That's up to Burnside. Even that solution isn't totally solving the problem though.

Furthermore, the duplicate dividend should have to be removed from the history too, otherwise it would screw up the statistics (both the asset statistics and the personal ones).
