How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now?

I've been talking about Bitcoin to family, friends and random people for years and nobody seemed to mind when BTC was under $1000. But now that Bitcoin has reached $2000, people are starting to realize that owning 1 BTC is beginning to be out of reach for the average person.

I've had more people ask me about Bitcoin lately and wanted help buying Bitcoins. What about you?

My mother and my brother now that I started to profit on the internet with Bitcoin and that it is getting media attention because of the recent ransomware. Other than that, I've never heard a single person talking about Bitcoin on the street, even though some friends of mine know the basics of Bitcoin and recognize the word when I talk about it. I think it's too early for Bitcoin to become mainstream here in Brazil.

Nobody is asking me, but I had a conversation about ransomware the other day and they seemed to had a general idea about Bitcoin and that it was used by hackers.
My family isn't following the price of Bitcoin, so they don't really care. It's the same with stocks. A company could go up by 200% in a week and we wouldn't know or care, because we haven't invested anything.

Nobody asks me too about Bitcoin, many people don't know about Crypto-Currency where I live, maybe nobody knows about it here, so they don't have any idea about it and its price that hitted $2000. Just sometimes in near cities I can hear some people talking about Bitcoins, but they don't use it, just speculate a bit about the subject and I stay quiet, just listening.

Like the above posters, I haven't noticed anything when the price started getting close to $2000. People don't realize what bitcoin is until you talk in their terms.
Try telling someone "if you bought bitcoins for $1000 3 years ago, you'd have $4000 now" and you got his full attention. It's just greed at work, I have met just one person in real life that was honestly interested in how it worked, the rest thought it to be a quick way to make money, or a scam.

What are the odds, some of my friends started asking me about Bitcoin and wanted to know more about it even asked for some links to a site that could explain every thing properly.

Now they are waking up, all it needed was a price increase and they never cared about Bitcoin itself, I bet the same people are the ones getting burnt with altcoins after they dumped huge on them. because they only think about the fiat value.

However I still do believe that it's not too late yet and people can still benefit even with this prices.

I´ve been asked by two friends. One asked me about the price increase, he asked me about Bitcoin and for cryptocoins and he was interested, especially when I explained him some of the possibilities of bitcoin like use it to send money to other people in other parts of the world or to pay in stores when the adoption of bitcoin is majority. The other person who asked me did it by ramsonware attack, he asked me why they required to be paid in bitcoin.

I don't think anybody asks about it. But I ask people if they have heard of bitcoin. Back in 2013 nobody did. Now everybody has heard of it but has not used it or is not sure what it is. This explains the massive upsurge in crypto valuations.

I remember about this time last year, I was telling friends and family to get into Bitcoin before the price hit $500. Most of them said they would, and some even asked me to help them to purchase it. I've set up 2 of my friends at the time, one of which converted all of his british pounds into BTC. The others? They never pulled the trigger. I reminded them to get into Bitcoin earlier this year before the price hit $1,000. None of them listened. Now that the price is flirting with $2,000, I'm reminding them again, and some of them are finally listening.

Oh, and the friend that put $50k into Bitcoin at under $500/coin? He hooked me up with a coin, and I couldn't be happier

I bought in at $280, shortly after the last bubble. I bought BTC from a friend who picked a shitton of 'em up at $1,000 a piece. He sold them to me for under market price because he just wanted to recoup some of his losses. He just asked me a few weeks ago to buy the coins back. I sold him back half of his supply for 25% under market value, and I still profited handsomely from it. He's over the moon about it, and now he's getting back in... All in. He just bought a ton of miners (yeah yeah, his instinct isn't that great lol) and in a short span of a few weeks, has gained a ton of knowledge about the tech behind BTC.

Other than that, I keep telling my friends, family, and clients to buy bitcoins. I've gotten two local businesses here to accept BTC as payment, and I'm working on more

It's great when bitcoin makes the news, and it certainly should--any asset that's gained as much as rapidly as bitcoin deserves some press.  Baseball cards & comics were all the rage back in the 80s and 90s and there were tons of stories of that stuff gaining in value.  It's good to hear.

I don't think 1btc is out of most people's reach, IF they want to own that much.  Not in the states, anyway.

I meet about 100 new people a month at my job, for better or worse, and I ask some of them about bitcoin.  Just kind of in passing.  A lot of them have heard of it, and some have used it to buy drugs.  That's still its most famous purpose, and the clientele I see definitely associate it with dark market stuff.

But few days ago one interesting thing happened to me. My father heard news about WannaCry attacks and that hackers asks to pay $300 in bitcoin. He tought that 1 bitcoin is worth $300. When I told him that bitcoin costs almost $2000, he was amazed and started to ask me, how to get bitcoins.

None, people asked me about the recent virus attack but bitcoin was not mentioned, my friends watched a documentary in which bitcoin was mentioned and nothing I tried to explain my family some time ago and nothing, ignorance surely is a bliss.

Some friends now started to ask me about bitcoin as i post the current price. I think they are starting to get interest of bitcoin. I told them i was introducing them btc last year but they ignored and now they are asking me how to earn bitcoin.

I sometimes wear a Monero t-shirt and a random guy yesterday at the grocery store hurriedly walked up to me and said, "Hey, I've heard about that. Where can I buy it?" He really wanted to get in on it.

It's getting nuts in here, and I love it!
