When will BTC value be $5,000 When do you think? In an older post back in December 05 2013 I post a thread asking when do you think BTC would be at $2,000, well it took almost 42 months to achieved that goal. This is just my own simple assessment. Around August we should be at least $2500 and we will end 2017 at $3000 or even more. 2018 crypto market will continue to grow but I doubt we can reach $5000 right there. So maybe by 2019 we are at $5000. But who knows. Maybe by 2020 we are already at $10,000 per bitcoin as the supply is getting scarce.

I think this new goal i takes more years before we can touch in that price. maybe i think 2020 that i think that the price will touch at $5,000 value since bitcoin is in new level hoping that can stay long with this level instead more price increase soon..
And more good news to come the same happen in japan.

I think it should hit this mark around december or around that because really the growth of bitcoins is getting more and more.
I remember when someone told me that bitcoin's price will reach 10,000$ soon I laughed hard at him and the price that time was around 400$. I think we might see something very big in coming days, seriously where the price will stop the rate it is going now.

We will hitting half of it maybe after the second quarter of this year or else it can happen before the end of May. And when I started to see the price of bitcoin starts to pump up to $3,000 hope with $5,000 is very possible to happen soon. I guess it will happen maybe with the same quarter next year of 2018.

Given the pace of raise in price of bitcoin I don't see why shouldn't we expect it to get to 5000$ even in two months. Just look as it's now above 2000$ while no more then month ago it was calmly sitting at 1000$. Bitcoin doubled it's price in barerly a month and despite being new here I've been watching it raise and raise and the higher the price the more people get to know about this coin which will cause the bubble effect but even the bubble itself will bring even more people seeing how quickly the price raises and more people will easily contribute to higher prices.
I give BTC few months to get to 5000$.

I hope it doesn't take as long as last time when you made a thread for it to come true. I feel that we may have to wait a similar time though. Maybe $5000 after the next halving.

Is this question really necessary? There is no exact answer to that and you will just received lots of guesses since everyday has a chance to make to that target even by lower chances. What matters here is, we must expect a continous growth until to that target you desire with only moderate to average dip as a standpoint chance or opportunity to make some buy back. No one knows what will happen tomorrow so just relax and don't think too much when it will reached the $5,000 price. |

It's not that bad if you will going to speculate with this price, it may be high but what can you think about it. When people started to speculate that the price is possible to reach at $2,000 when the price way back then is only $800 - $1,000. So it's not a bad thing to think with this price because it's very possible to happen with the high demand and supply limit of bitcoin. |

The way parabolic bubbles work, we can very easily see testing of 4000 USD per bitcoin next month. The resistance there could be too much and cause significant correction (spanning 6+ months), but with that said 10 000 USD per bitcoin will be in game far sooner than 2020, sir  Unless, some alt replace bitcoin as virtual gold (wealth retention), which I find extremely unlike in medium term. Even ETH is unfit for that, perhaps monero in couple of years. But not now. Testing 8-10k might be on the table as soon as next year unless something catastrophic happens. |

Let us wait for Bitcoin to reach 4500 before thinking the $5000 aim. At the current rate bitcoin price is only 40% of the OP's question on when will BTC be at $5000. There is no definite time or date because we cannot precisely tell what will happen in the future. But with the feature of Bitcoin deflation, probably bitcoin will break $5000 after the next halving.

I say let us settle above the $2000 mark first, before thinking about $3000 prices. After that we have to settle above the $3000 mark, before thinking about $4000 prices ~ and the list goes on. I prefer to see the market grow in a slower but more sustainable manner, but people here only care about quick gains through peaks that mostly don't last. Nothing will only go up in value in one straight line. After the panic buying is over, and everything cools down, then we'll really see where the price will end up, and I am sure that's quite a bit lower than current prices. |

Most probably we may see that price at the end of the year or may be even before that and if not then there is a great possibility that it will achieve that price in next year for sure now there is no scope for price to crash down and even if it does it won't fall too low and I am sure that we will see the $5k price before the year ends. |

That is a fair assessment. But you fail to take into account that this could be a bubble that will burst anytime. If it bursts this year, Bitcoin might fall and trade between $1000 - $1500. But if the bull run continues I mostly agree. |

if you asked me this 2 months ago i would have said it will take about 2 years to reach $5000 but now with the things i have seen i have to say it is too hard to say when!
the mainstream adoption has became much faster with legalization of bitcoin in Japan and consequently in other countries. and we can see how the price is reacting to the news. but we still have a big obstacle called the block size debate in front of the rise, it can slow it down and even halt it.
so if it is solved within reasonable timing and in best way possible we can see $5000 in less than 4-5 months
